Thanks for watching.
Man thanks for your efforts in these tributes
No problem. Thanks for watching.
Robert richardson youre are a genius
For those of you familiar with U.S. and art history, does anyone else think Richardson's movies owe a lot to the paintings of Gilbert Stuart? The layered and contrasty lighting and colors, textures, use of light fall-off, etc.
Wonderful, however I feel it needs more "Nixon" and "Horse Whisperer". And the complete exclusion of "Heaven And Earth", "The Four Feathers", "Eight Men Out", and especially "Snow Falling On Cedars" are major omissions.
Robert Richardson IS The G.O.A.T.
You're probably right. However, there might be a part 2 eventually. Thanks for watching.
@@nosearmy9304 Great! I'm sure "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood" will furnish some inspiration for a second volume!
I'd like to see some "U-Turn", "The Good Shepherd", and "Live By Night" in the follow up too. I guess Bob disowns "World War Z" for being so messed around with in post, but nevertheless he did some good work there.
But seriously, I feel "Snow Falling On Cedars" is one of the best shot movies ever.
His upcoming DP works are Venom: There Will Be Carnage (2nd work with Andy Serkis) and Don't Look Back with Adam McKay!
Maybe I'll make a third part when those come out.
Linus Sandgren has replaced Robert Richardson in Don't Look Up!
waiting for once upon a time in hollywood o/
He did an amazing job with OUATIH. The images have an extraordinary richness to them.
He needs to work with Oliver Stone again.
Where's the footage of "The Good Shepherd "?

Shutter Island

0:20 - 0:27 Which movie is this scene?
Platoon
How do you compare the style of cinematography in famous classics like Lawrence of Arabia and Sound of Music to the recent high budget , worthless movies ? Why they can not make such masterpieces anymore ?
As far as cinematography goes, I do find that I gravitate towards pre-digital stuff. The new tools have changed it completely.
@@nosearmy9304 that's what I like to know , how and what exactly has changed so that we have been alienated from meaning and beauty ?
@@pccomputer1550 It all looks the same, basically. lack of creativity and imagination.
3:10 film?
Shutter Island
I think Roger Deakins is the GOAT but Bob is forsure top 5
Deakins can't even shoot one movie on anamorphic. Bob's your uncle!
octagonproplex bruh shut up
@@khairyjenkins Deakins hasn't ever shot the gold standard. And I'm not your bruh, but I'll slap you like an abusive step dad.
