    I get 60mpg on the freeway at 75. An average of 48-50 with mostly city driving. I'm not a crazy driver though. Thanks for the nice review.

    Sounds good, I don't know what the service intervals are but I've heard on the BMW the costs for servicing is horrendous ,certainly something to be aware of,should be factored in as part of the review

    How does it compare to the bmw c650 sport? Is the bmw a better choice as it’s faster?

    So question is Tmax or C650?

  • @umaxen01
    @umaxen01 8 років тому +1

    Not only is it expensive, but it also probably costs 2x as much to service as a regular bike. The transmission primary, secondary and TRINARY reduction gears from the engine to the rear cvt is one of the most complex, gear driven reductions EVER used on ANY bike.. I love this thing, but it's just mechanically nuts. 3 disk brakes on a scooter? This is a parts replacement nightmare...

    First time rider here, I plan on getting a bike for local distance nothing highway/freeway & price isn't a big issue. How does this Scooter feel overall I plan on testing riding one as I'm 6'5

    But is the Tmax £2000 better than a Silverwing?

    I like the TMAX feels scootery than the honda. But what I dont like about TMAX is that the belt and its pulley is exposed. Exposed to dirt and other elements.

    • @tonygriffiths134
      @tonygriffiths134 8 років тому

      Some Harleys and the BMW F800 GT have exposed belts and mechanical failures, according to the owners' blogs, are very rare.

      Had an xvs1300 yamaha for 4 years. The belt still looked like new (the manufacturers printing on th3 belt was still like new) when i traded it in

    I owned a 2009 Tmax 500 before but decided to to swich BMW C 600 SPORT, more power and more milage per gallon, better handling.

    SRV850 better in every way, Faster much more powerful 76hp. 0-60mph in 5 sec. Better looking Italian styling. More comfortable. Proper key. Bigger tank more milage similar mpg...

      +intoconjunctions but the value is decreased a lot every year I saw a 2014 srv850 selling only for 20000 hkd,which is only 2000 euros and the cheapest 2014 tmax was 75000hkd , which is 7500 euros

    • @intoconjunctions

      Excellent you should buy it then

    BMW C600 sport has way more to offer I've noticed compared to this bike.

    • @mariolosberg4257
      @mariolosberg4257 8 років тому

      +MFizzle777 yes..but it is expensier than Yamaha..

    • @MFizzle777
      @MFizzle777 8 років тому

      Actually the Tmax 530 ABS is the same price as the BMW C600 Sport at £10,000. BMW however you get a way better bike in every way.

    • @intoconjunctions
      @intoconjunctions 8 років тому

      +MFizzle777 SRV850 beats both imo

    • @MFizzle777
      @MFizzle777 8 років тому

      intoconjunctions in speed yes. However BMW has ABS, heated grips and seat, boot space for 2 helmets, tire pressure control and the 2016 version has traction control. Yet the BMW has more things about it that I can't be bothered to mention like servicing you won't have to replace any belts like the TMAX for example... BMW is the one mate.

    • @intoconjunctions
      @intoconjunctions 8 років тому

      SRV850 has both ABS and Traction Control, heated grips inexpensive to install, boot space 1 helmet. V inexpensive services first 20000km. Chain drive replace at some point maybe a bit pricy after 20000km. I'm with the SRV for sports exhilaration, styling plus pretty much all the BMW features.

    Another "review" which shows endless footage of roads and cars driving on roads. How am I supposed to see how that thing is performing when all I see is the drivers' perspective? Have somenone else film you while you're driving.

      My goodness - what a deeply-considered and constructive comment based, no doubt, on extensive personal use and wide-ranging experience. Why not apply for a job as a full-time technical journalist? Your perceptive insights would be welcomed by the million.
