I wanted to start Herd management, but honestly think I might just go crazy and kill off herds and resetting with tripods instead of herd management.

Trying to do a whitetail grind on Layton also is there any way u could share some tips I have 51 zones and i can’t find anymore and my deer won’t respond 😢this is my first grind and I just need a little help if anyone could help
That stream was soooooooooo crazy. Congrats man keep it up! Maybe hm is a lie and it doesn't help G1's spawn👀. Idk but time will tell. Also keep some G1's in your main lodge but not duplicates that look relatively the same. Im in the middle with hm. I do whatever I think will be the most fun for me when grinding.
Yea im not convinced it helps with G1 spawns but it for sure helps with diamonds and supers

Can you please explain how exactly herd management works? I have heard so many different techniques. Some people kill everything, some only certain levels or weight distributions. So I’m just not exactly sure how herd management works.

what is the best method to make a whitetail GO spawn? kill them all(levels 1-2-3) or perform a grind?

Crow, your philosophy has always been to do what you enjoy and people will naturally be drawn to your content’s authenticity. Don’t compromise your principles if you don’t want. Although, I think that you compromised them with admirable intentions, which speaks to your goodness.

Got my first piebald whitetail on New England when it released I don’t do heard management don’t really have time
It takes a long time for herd management to actually stop when I stop with my red deer I still got a lot of diamonds for the longest time I think you should keep this grind up because I wouldn’t base it off that grind
I did over 1000 kills after killing off all the 1s. Its 100% not active anymore as we are constantly going 100+ with no diamonds
I guess to clarify i killed only the 1s in all my zones to get the spawns back to normal, ended up killing about 80-90 1s and then after we went back to killing everything. Should be no reason why it would still be active

Hey scarecrow I just started herd management on red deer but this proves it's less effective? or that no matter what you do,, the great one is just a random regardless of herd management?
Love the videos keep up the awesome work my friend has been doing herd management for red deer on te awora and I think it definitely has helped him to kill diamonds and rares but I don’t think it helps with great ones but you do you and I’ll support you no matter what

i would personally like to thankyou for showing how to do HM as i dont have alot of time to play and it has helped me see some rare ones but no great ones and only 2 diamonds but plenty trolls so have some nice looking trophys thx again great vids .

How can you get initial spawns in everything but I get get a Diamond anything at all
Because I’ve been grinding for a couple months and I’ve got nothing
None of these were initial spawns, i have killed about 14k whitetail since the last pop reset from EW and 26k whitetail in total. Its just a matter of memorizing all my whitetail and finding the fastest way to grind them so i can kill ridiculous amount every hour
I got my 50th overall diamond and a melanistic red deer this morning, both in the same run

You should try a grind like your tan go grind again just shooting everything does included and see if that works still?

I don't like hm but I'm doing it bc I can't kill that many animals in a herd so it's what's most effective for me
I think HM affects great one spawns because I got to 3100 kills no HM and no great one. Then I go for fallow with HM and get him in 324. So I think HM affects great one spawns.

I bought the game, DLC, suggested it to friends, and I feel bad for not doing my due diligence.
_"Herd Management"_ just renders the game solvable for me.
I'm not interested in grinding tic tac toe.
You would think that a game designed around a trophy system wouldn't have such an easily exploitable respawn system.
You have more g1 whitetail than I have Diamond whitetail

Yesterday I killed a 268 super rare and a big rack great one!
I personally don’t mind HM because it was something the developers put in the game for a reason. That reason was for the game to be enjoyable to the people that can’t play all the time. However, I do understand why people don’t like it, and I respect that opinion.

I also absolutely disagree that "herd management" is an intended gameplay system.
It's a solvability problem the developers are rebranding.
The average trophy rating is to prevent unbalanced map seeds.
The Herd persistence is to allow the same herd to be tracked day to day.
This is easy to solve. You just exploit the respawn system. It's a game.
You can call it "Herd management" but that isn't a gameplay mechanic, nor does it resemble any actual herd management as it pertains to actual game reserves.

Hey Crow! Honestly, You Should Do Whatever Makes You Happy. While I Understand Doing The Grinds Without Herd Management For The Good Of The Community, If HM Makes You Happy You Should Do It.

This sounds so easy, but at the Moment I have 2500 kills, all 700 kills is one rare. A great one is not in sight, perhaps it makes a differenz on with platform you grind, or on wich map.

I love watching the vids and streams and I killed a melanistic whitetail last night as you killed yours on stream and mine scored 208
I watch what you do because I dont play like this. I think this is still herd management. You aren’t killing does. I wonder if you took out all the small does then after that shot all the bucks. Maybe doe population has an impact on respawns. Only problem is people that have a problem with you stacking bucks would have a bigger problem trying to manipulate herds even more. I need to save up for about 50 more rents before trying this on my own or I would be happy to.

Personally, I think it's cool to get trophies by HM. But it's a hunting game, and is HR really hunting? I'd rather see you just wander around and shoot everything
... who cares they are your videos you can do whatever you want. Do your herd management and screw them lol. Seems whack to not do it just cause they say.
Its not about that, its about the fact it was splitting up the community more than I realized and I don't want to see the community at each others throats. I've seen people taking sides and cutting ties with the other side over HM. Its not worth promoting it if its just separating people. And I think after this its clear to most that I don't need it to get trophies.
