Let me explain tr takes place when takemichi is smth like 14 years old (lets just pretend the whole timetraveling stuff didnt happen and all that led to the moment of bontens existence is just how it would have normally gone) and he got into the mafia at about 15 years old that means he has a whole year to somehow end up in the mafia. He learns fast that his crying doesn't help him at all and he becomes the dazai we all know and love. Uhm so i hope it makes sense how i explained it lol
