You know who impresses me every week? Ricardo - outstanding wheel to wheel driver, smart yet aggressive when he can afford to be.
Matthew • 33 years ago how is not not? There’s 10x the amount side by side action in Indy than there is in f1
Both Stroll and Massa know what their role is. They drive for the team, the goal of the race was to finish ahead of Force India, it doesn't matter who comes in 7th or 8th. It was best to have Massa behind Stroll because he is the more experienced driver, he will never flinch/crumble under the pressure of a following driver.
One of the best races for Williams this season.
If you watch the battle between Stroll, Massa and Perez like this, it seems that Massa was covering Stroll so he could maintain his position and keep Checo behind. He could have gone past after the chicane, but he held his spot and took no risks so both drivers could finish as they were.
Nicely done guys!
Mauricio I dont think Massa thinks about boosting Strolls confidence in the heat of the moment like that in the last lap. Afterwards he may say otherwise but i dont really think someone could think about that in such a hectic sitiuation
The split screen on Verstappen and Massa shows Massa holding his line. Verstappen was his own worst enemy again. Clanging it on Lap 3 and spending the rest of the race taking his frustration out on the rest of the field.
Oddly enough, Verstappen sounded on the verge of tears on the radio.
1:34 mercedes op straight line speed
Christopher Everson When a driver pulls in front you lose all front wing downforce and you have to brake early. Vettel didn't do that at the French GP this year and smacked into a mercedes because of it
@@nbain66 Vettel did the same again in 2019 British Grand Prix
@@edouardthndoungue5511 people don't understand dirty air these days. Russell was great on the first lap and Hungary because he got out of the dirty air and people were saying it was because the Williams has no downforce.
I like the fact that when this happened all was normal for the FIA and other team while in 2019 Ferrari was "cheting"
Alonso and Palmer
Better love story than Twilight
Amrita Singh Literally the third Indian person I've met that watches formula 1 O.O
Check the line Massa takes when he is being overtaken by Max (1:50) and check the line Ricciardo (3:32) takes when he is overtaking Kimi. They are the same. Max didn't brake, but Kimi braked. Thats what happens, who ever reaches the corner first has the inside line. Massa reached the corner first, Max was free to overtake him from the outside.
When magnussen says " what is he doing pushing me off the track " that make me smile
Verstappen's start was insane!!
I'm so glad Formula 1 has a UA-cam channel. I wouldn't have become a fan of this sport without videos like these
Boa atitude do Massa cumprimentando Stroll na chegada. Melhor ainda ele não forçar tanto uma ultrapassagem. O menino tá indo bem 👏👏👏👏👏👏
@3:50 That's pretty rich coming from you Magnussen.
"What is he doing? Cutting me off the track."
Uh no He block you out high going into the turn and you failed to back off having lost the line and he didn't give you an inch of space. Your in the wrong there.
"That was craaaazy guys" AHAHAHAHAH WTF Max was in front of you already xD
These on board cams are WAY more intense and interesting than the regular broadcast cameras, they should use those almost all the time during live broadcasts.
Like 'em vunerable
Great exciting video! They make F1 look so much slower on tv during the race
I see a new F1 video, I click like.
Wow.... Kimi vs Bottas, you can see how much powerful that Merc engine is. Bottas messed up the corner, Kimi got on the throttle a lot earlier and was still beaten on the straight!
exactly....thats why I think that unless Ferrari can really compensate that with better aero/chassis among other things, they have no chance to win this championship....take out Singapore and I would expect Mercedes to have the edge on most of the remaining tracks....
It really leaves Ferrari vulnerable on any tracks that have long straights, such as Sepang, Mexico and heck even Abu Dhabi....but who knows...reliabilty could also come to play its part....at this point neither Vettel or Hamilton can afford to have any DNFs, meanwhile Bottas absolutely needs both Ham or Vettel to have a DNFs if he wishes to have any chance in this championship, but normally Ham is just superb in qualifying.
Battle of the Finns was the best
1:55 What did they expect there?! Honestly!
If vettel wins the championship he sould go to merc and have a rivalry with hamilton
Omg. That first clip just gets straight to the good stuff. So smooth and he had the whole road to him self in the first chicane
Great video! We need more of these!
At the start of Max the other drivers look like AI Cars in F1 2017
Rule Nr. 1 for driving Haas F1 Team
Complain about every overtaking maneuver and claim that it was irregular xD
More like this please. Amazing footage
1:56 Is the same that VER did to HAM in 2021 XD
Out of the hybrid era, the 2017 cars are the most favorite for me.
If they had V8 or V10 engines, they could be the best looking and sound cars.
Performance-wise maybe
But i hope you are not serious regarding the look, the cars looked awful in 2017
God bless Liberty Media and Monza.. Kimi vs Bottas footage are epicm
2:18 He is teaching you a lesson: you sometimes can't bully others into submission!
This vision is the absolute highlight of the race.
F1 Thank You No obnoxious soundtrack Thank You
Alonso did the same as Massa did, but Palmer was intelligent enough to avoid the crash by cutting the chicane, not as Verstappen did.
on palmers side there were no bumps, if verstappen did that, his car floor was completely damaged
its called defending the inside line, thats why most drivers move to defend by covering the inside. Max and Palmer should have known going around the outside is dangerous
Both Massa and Alonso ran their opponents off the road, Palmer just had the luxury of being able to cut the chicane without wrecking his floor, Verstappen didn't. Both were significantly alongside, neither were given enough space. Alonso's bitching takes the cake of course... "He cut the chicken, he needs to give back the position!" ... Why yes, of course you'd know, you made sure he had to!
@@konni6694 so Verstappen was right? trying to overtake Massa on the outside in a chicane knowing that there were bumps there and was no deviation that would make him in good condition to recover the gap, ok Verstappen fan, I will help you, when overtaking Grosjean he was right, half a car ahead, clean overtaking and Grosjean's mistake.
on top of that you think it is normal to overtake someone on the outside curve without having a half car ahead, ok 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Amazing video guy's! Congrats!
Good job, thanks.
Max still pulling that same move 4 years later. will never learn.
Never..... This is an indictment of his wheel to wheel..... Or lack thereof. He has a history at that chicane.
_"just bump the car to gain position ! simple !"_
No matter how soon or how hard you squeeze Max out of the track, he's never going to back out.
The spirit of Maldonado is strong in him.
@@mro9466Here it’s more clear than in 2021, Felipe squeezed him and didn’t let him space, Max was completely side by side
Monza seems to bring out the best in Danny Ric for some reason but unfortunately he's never made one of those breathtaking overtakes for the win.
Also Bottas pass around the outside was an underrated move. Not much discussion about it
Daniel should leave Red Bool. So should Max. Too bad I can't deploy 3 cars in a race.
Alonso vs Palmer and Massa vs Verstappen were exactly the same only Palmer chose to cut the chicane and Verstappen stick to his move which ended in accident.
Yep. Only Verstappen would loose alot more time, because of the bumps and low speed. But still, better than having a flat tyre.
2:51
Can anybody relate this divebomb to Albon's dive on Sainz in 2019????
2:53 Two of my favorite drivers battling. Oh yes!
2:01 😶
Daniel loves that move at 3:00. Pulled it on seb as well in 2014 i believe
Awesome Video
2:00 he hasn't learnt
The Bottas/Raikkonen battle is what makes F1 fans! WOW that was exciting!!!!
Stroll if your out there your defence on massa was dope i loved it
"I like them vulnerable..." Riccardo
its amazing how fast both red bulls change their gears.
Looking this in 2018, I appreciate so much more onboard cams without the halo...
Ricciardo's move is here in Monza again!☝💪👏
"I like them vulnerable" lol
This track produces the best wheel to wheel action!
@Formula 1 should stream in 1080p50frames all the time, it looks so much faster and better.
Driver of the Verstappen :
Crashtappen
I think this time max was a bit to creedy, the start was amazing from 14 to 9. Then 3th lap he wanted to fast pas massa and run after ferrari. If you look at 2:00 massa could not do anything different. Verstappen had to decide to cut the chicane on that moment give back position and start over again. Nevertheless both amazing drivers!
ua-cam.com/video/_S54DU8ClaM/v-deo.html
Massa could have done it like he did before. I don't know.
Man, if there was a way F1 could get any better, that'd be with videos of the best moments all over the following week.
i got tired of the 2018 onboard cameras so i had to come back in time to 2017
Haas has two babies as drivers, complaining about every little tjing every single race.
So true compare them to old drivers. They complain like women nowadays
As Magnussen stated in his post race interview, he had no real issue with the move, its that many have been penalized this year for the exact same thing. He just wants consistency.
I'm a Haas supporter ('Merica!) but I don't at all like whiny Grosjean.
I actually believe it's Alonso who pushes Palmer off-track. Alonso dives from way back and barely makes the corner, so Palmer had to go off-track to avoid him. I believe Alonso deserved a penalty there as well.
If Palmer did what he was supposed to do in that case he wouldnt have gottan a penalty. Even if u think alonso broke a rule you cant punish it by breaking a rule too
MarcG1995 Alonso was in front after the breaks you blind. Pause the video on 2:28 at the part before palmer cut the chicane. How is in front???
Lol I love how some people these days don't have any respect anymore... "you blind..." Well if that's the way you treat people, here ya go:
Look stupid fuck, Palmer was ahead when they got to the braking zone. If you can't see that, then you're blind yourself. Alonso braked way too late and barely made the corner, thus pushing Palmer off-track. If you can't see that, then you're either a stupid fanboy, or you're just a dumb fuck.
Lol ITs a JOKEEEE JOKEEEEEEEE ! ALonso has officially lost it i think thanks to HOnda.
Boa noite !!!!
Vídeo fantástico.
Muito obrigado pelo vídeo e parabéns pelo canal.....
Abraço do Brasil.....
Massa congratulating Stroll is a great thing. Nice relationship going in Williams. For Massa, Stroll is his younger brother.
2:54 Now that's a superb overtake!
3:48 Good for u, Magnussen the welder
Fernando was so childish in Monza. Crying about palmer, last weekend he pushed him clearly of the track.
Also Palmer did hand the position back but then immediately after that overtook Fernando
Rhodium Movies MC Yeah he was super whiney for some reason, and asking about his position later in the race. Jolyon's retirement was "karma" apparently.
Tamas Soós that's what I thought! I'm not the only one that thought off that!
Yeah I am absolutely baffled why the stewards sided with him on that. He pushed Palmer off clear as day and did it again here, both times Palmer was fully alongside.
MRFUCKOFF202 FIA are so stupid! They are so biased! FIA didn't give penalty in spa I was ok with that but this has just gone way too far! Giving palmer the penalty once he did give the position back he just overtakes him straight after because it's not the rubbish Honda engine! I've had enough of the FIA
Kimi was struggling on the acceleration after the chichanes.. Now you can understand him when He thought something was broken in the rear
The fins kept it clean, to c-c-c-c-c-cold to fight out there
Karma on-board was best
What is Palmer doing? He need to give me back my position. Ok Fernando, we have to retire the car
#Karma #InstantKarma #KarmaBack2You

Very bogged down so badly still managed to get away so good
1:36 nooooo Moniicaaaaaaaa
Epic start by Verstappen
1:32 Mercedes still the fastest car on the grid
Ricardo fez uma excelente corrida.parabens
This Gp2 series has potential. It has good drivers, they will do good in F1
Verstappen: 'I'm alongside you!'
Massa: 'nah don't worry mate I'll just turn in like I always do!'
Alonso Palmer situation is absolutely the same but no one blames Alonso for doing this
BlauwePerzik um mate I don't always turn in come on one mistake and suddenly I'm the new maldonado. Give me a break
Poor Verstappen fanboy! You think Verstappen would give that chicane to anyone if he was in the place of Massa?
yeah, that's what I thought! He should be saying, oh someone did the same move with me like what I do to others, that's completely not acceptable, right?
Am I the only one who think it is Massa's fault? Max gave him space.. And Massa basicly brakes to late and than they contact.. I'm not saying it is a penalty, probably a race incident, but when there is someone to blame, it is Massa..
The incident with Massa was his fault indeed, but max was clearly at fault with his incidents with Grosjean and Magnussen
Ronnie Attema Max was fully ahead in the incident with Magnussen, Magnussen just braked too late and had to take avoiding action (compare the tip of his front wing with Max's rear wheel to compare).
No, Max was clearly ahead of Magnussen, MAG just braked too late and had to avoid Max...
So many incidents with max because he always tries too hard. This is what happens when he races with someone who doesn't have a championship to protect, they give him less respect and accidents happen. Max was on the outside and a normal driving line is to that apex, which anyone sane would expect Massa to go for, but Max inexperience and having a point to prove put him in this position.
2:50 Sweet move...
2:22 when you press the overtake button and realize it won't make a fucking difference
Massa is the kind of pilot you dont want to fuck with, he has balls to fight
At 1:50 it's hilarious...Maxxy pad don't like it when someone used his tactics against him. 🤣🤣
Verstappen was truly a menade in his first years of F1. He has matured a lot but is still the same smart-agressive driver.
Elegant overtaking by daniel
0:00- awesome start Max.
0:40- awesome battle between Kimi and Bottas.
1:50- Massa and Verstappen touch. Max complains about Massa braking too late.
2:22- illegal overtake from Palmer on Alonso.
2:45- a BRILLIANT overtake from Daniel on Perez.
3:08- Verstappen completely cuts Grosjean. "WHawhazthat"
3:30- slick overtake from Ricciardo again
3:44- Magnussen and Verstappen almost touch. Magnussen complains about braking too late.
4:00- an awesome battle between the 2 williams
It's his fault, no it's his fault.
Pretty much every comment I read is nothing more than pointing a finger.
How about not seeing everything so black and white :)
When 2 guys are racing they both want to be in front and sometimes shit happens.
That's part of what makes it exciting.
This is a brilliant video and I really enjoy being able to watch all this action from onboard perspective.
I want more onboard videos.
great start verstappen but putting yourself on the outside is always a risky move sometimes they might give you room sometimes they don't
Great race 🏎. Better luck next time for Verstappen.
The next race will be real interesting for red bull en Maclaren
Monza, now officially a German city-state. Next up: liberating Singapore.
Toto Wolff the problem was not the U.K flag standing alone in the middle of 140k Ferrari fans... The problem is that the U.K flag wasn't burning.
I saw one real overtake here, which was Ricciardo's on Raikkonen. The others consisted of either pushing the other driver off the track, crashing into him, or blocking him in the braking zone. FIA really need to clarify the rules to stop this, and the stewards really need to bring some consistency to the penalties the apply. This is rapidly becoming a kindergarten for spoilt brats.
FOR GOD SAKES bottas should have won this race he was much quicker than Lewis I don't why they didn't let bottas through for the win he is in a title fight for the championship
Que saudade das onboards sem o halo!
This was a fun race to watch, but it's never nice to see any team win by 30s. Still wish there were more radio communications throughout the race; we don't hear the drivers enough.
lol Grosjean locks up and blames Verstappen??
He locks up because Maxxy pad takes the line when clearly he should have given him room
The Verstappen Massa incident:
I find it to be a racing incident as Massa pushed Verstappen off track but Verstappen still kept going for the turn even though outside the track which caused the collision. If Verstappen would have not done the same as Maldonado in Valencia 2012, I think Massa would have gotten a penalty for pushing a car out of the track.
To this day I still think Maldonado was not really at fault for that, I don't see why its okay for the driver on the inside of a chicane like here and the larger one in Valencia to cut off the outside driver.
Thomas Fulton Maldonado was in the fault of the crash as he should have cut the corner tbh.
K when verstappen does it its his racing line and when other drivers do it its not their racing line
But the weird thing is, when Alonso also didn't leave room for Palmer, Palmer got the penalty. I get the whole 'gaining an advantage'-thing but if you want, even with the crap speed of the McLaren, you just pick the inside and push the other one out. If he keeps it there, there's a crash. If he doesn't, he gets a penalty. Win-win, and none of it is the fault of the defending party. Regardless of all the rules and fair racing and all that: if you move so far out to hold your position, no-one will overtake you (unless it's only on speed on the straight, which is frankly boring as hell)
Danny Ric overtaking on Kimi... Perez, that was slick as fuck.
Extreme respect for Stroll. srsly. after all the crashes at the beginning he went way to carefully and got overtaking where he could defend and wasnt able to overtake where he should. the last races it seems like he really believe in his strength itself. That fight vs Massa wouldnt be possible a few races ago. he would brake 40-80 meters earlier and easily lose the position. The only one moment he was in that "save mode" was at the start where he let ocon go trough. im surprised. i thought this guy would break under pressure but he is definitely on the right way.
2:49 that move from Ricciardo was beautiful
He likes them vulnerable
Yeah
similar to his 2014 move
