No 120 fps option, yeah, I’m outta here, all mobile games should have 120 fps support, for futureproofing, even if current devices can’t hit it, or you have to play at low settings and low resolution, I prefer smoothness over graphics, as do many other people.
@@sunsetgaming2498 I agree there, but I am referring to actually bringing real games over to IOS and Mac, HandyGames and Playdigious ( NorthGard, Dead Cells, Little Nightmares ) and Even CapCom. It’s great to see some love to IOS instead of just trash pay to win “ Free to Play Games”
It good to see more AAA games coming to mobile, hopefully Grid becomes available on Android too where RAM won't be an issue since high end Android phones to have 12/16GB
Buddy, ram on android needs to be 12/16 gb specifically because you have issues otherwise… Ios is actually optimized, just literally get an older iphone
If there's one thing I hate about Feral's ports, is that they don't give us a PC-like graphics options, which is really a shame. We can't push the graphics and performance of the game with just 3 graphics options... I truly don't understand why they do this giving the amount of different devices that there are available on iOS and Android, so at least for me a PC-like graphics option is the obvious choice on mobile games...
These are mobile devices; games are optimized for numerous factors and simply cannot offer such options. Feral puts a lot of attention and effort into optimization for mobile devices, but here the optimization needs to be done differently, taking into various things like passive cooling and throttling. Believe me, Feral has considered the graphical factors, and it’s no coincidence that they don’t provide as many graphical options - there’s simply no need for them. Due to the nature of mobile devices, you have to squeeze as much as you can out of the graphics, but not too much, not to overheat mobile devices.
@@rubenjorge13 Bear in mind it will increase the smartphone’s temperature (it comes at the cost of something, in the long run, throttling may occur, for example). Chasing FPS is not a priority on mobile devices; it’s a trade-off between power, capability, and the device’s temperature. Looking for visuals and FPS, it’s probably better to play on a powerful PC.

Looks about the same as ps3 mode on- and the iPad is a mix between PS4 graphics , brings back nostalgia seeing those graphics , looks like the original grid on PS3 nostalgia because of the demo I played as a kid
Been really enjoying this game on my new m4 macmini. I had no idea this was available for iPhone. Is cross saving supported? Oh. Yeah, like 3 minutes later, nope.
I seriously find this so interesting it's crazy I have a 15 Pro Max only issue I am having with games and tbf anything remotely more challenging to run is the temperature it gets ridiculously hot and I know it will just degrade my battery like crazy I am already at 90% battery health with 310 cycles. I wish there was a way to just actively cool the phone but these cooling pads need to be plugged in at all times. I get super paranoid about the heat of my phone I may just be crazy.
@ Just looked it up it’s rated for 1000 cycles still I’m pretty confident in the fact that the hot area is the chip (obviously) cause you can feel where the heat is but it gets a lot warmer than other iPhone models so battery degradation is a lot faster for these phones kinda sucks
Doesn't work with a PS4 joypad even using their add-in, no rumble. By the way, what would be the equivalent power needed in a PC to run this game (I'm getting rid of my Mini M4)?
@@zeadaltaee True - on performance yes. Android users unfortunately made such a fuss that the game was temporarily removed from the store (I’m not sure if it’s back yet). @@MrMacRightwhy do they allow us to purchase the game then if it won’t run on those devices? It’s so misleading because the App Store page says "Works on this iPhone".
It's so strange, Apple could release a gaming console with minimal effort. Take Mac Mini with the the biggest SOC, put Apple TV on it, done. They already have a footstep in gaming with Arcade. I really don't see, why they don't do it.
Apple could not. They are not associated with gaming and they'd be facing a massive uphill battle against Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony, and Valve. It's not just about hardware. Apple ultimately isn't that interested in gaming but just want to help those who do want to game on their platform. You're also forgetting about pricing which is important too. You can't take the biggest SoC and shove it in there as there's cost associated and consoles are designed to sell for cheap
Why even release this on iOS if it can’t even hold a locked 60fps on the newer models? Grid Autosport looks much better than this slideshow, and it even runs on much older iPhones.
