    Well...this lady is just being nice with the comparisons but we get it. Nairobi is way more developed and prolly more fun than Kampala, but its all good, it's one love to all our brothers and sisters across the motherland. If Uganda can get the infrastructure right, then we'll get there one day. Best wishes to you all.

    Uganda 🇺🇬 🤩I was in Jinja last December. I didn't want to leave. A city seamlessly blending with the countryside. Everything was perfect other than the roads we used - we stayed near Nile Jinja Resort, passing through the beautiful well-maintained military base. Another disadvantage was slow internet - both mobile and WiFi were quite slow. However, Uganda has the best food of all countries I've visited, better than what we have in Kenya 🇰🇪. I can't wait to go back to Uganda and Tanzania. The three countries complement each other and I'm glad we have an East African passport and free movement throughout.

    I live in New England and have traveled quite a bit. Yes, Kenya has faster internet and better roads than Uganda, but once Uganda fixes those two detractors, then what would be the major complaint? I have been to Kenya and it is developed but I found Malindi and Mombasa too hot and most of their food was fried. Kenya has a lot of American food chains but most of that food is processed and denatured. I don't remember eating fried food in Uganda. Even in the National Parks, or in Kampala, we found the food to be very fresh and tasty. I saw a video of a Ugandan/Kenyan couple comparing the two countries and they mentioned that Nairobi closes down very early while Kampala opens late at night because of safety issues. They also mentioned that a lot of Kenyans go to school in Uganda I am not sure why since Uganda still has the British system O-Level and A-Level and Kenya changed its educational system after independence from Britain. This means Kenyans who want to attend University in Uganda have to take remedial classes? I think Uganda's setback is political and corruption. M7 has a grip on the country but dictatorships eventually come to an end. Corruption is everywhere including the USA. It is a human condition. Lastly, Kenya has had its share of instability and election violence as recently as the 2022 election cycle.

    • @AmazingMania
      @AmazingMania 7 місяців тому +1

      There are a lot of things Uganda needs to catch up....not even Uganda but other neighbours. About education we don't take any remedials....

    • @DR-lc2oc
      @DR-lc2oc 7 місяців тому +5

      What instability? lol. You don’t have to down Kenya to lift Uganda up. Or lie on Kenya. The 2022 elections were stable. Challenged in court and settled peacefully. Uganda has far more political instability in its history than Kenya has ever had and that’s a fact. And Nairobi does not shut down early. Lmao. Uganda is a very beautiful and wonderful place with many things going for it with welcoming people and great culture. Kampala is a dope city as well. Have confidence in Ug to praise it without feeling you have to step on another country or other countries.

      @sarahtn912 7 місяців тому

      Watch the video of the Kenya/Uganda couple. Too bad I don't remember their name but if what you saying is true, then they lied and the reports on the elections in 2022 were also a lie!?@@DR-lc2oc

    • @bliss252
      @bliss252 7 місяців тому

      You do realise the occasional instability in Kenya is a direct result and a sign of a robust democracy, right?
      Conversely, the relative stability in UG is a result of living under a dictatorship/Autocracy. Didn't the most popular leadership challenger (Bobby Wine) get harrassed and detained? 🤔

    • @tealsquare
      @tealsquare 7 місяців тому

      I'm a disenfranchised Ugandan economically and I wouldn't vote for directionless peeps like Bobi Wine who regurgitate talking points to run this country. We deserve better politicians.

    To be fair, When other Africans say our food is bad, they don't mean restaurants and cafes. They mean food in the average kenyan home. Growing up kenyan you never know our food is basic and dry until you visit other african homes. Ugandan food makes our ugali/sukuma and other staples taste embarrassingly plain 😂😂

    Thank you for sharing. Glad the kids had fun. We've been in Nairobi for a couple years now. We still want to see Uganda, Entebbe specifically. We've enjoyed everywhere we've been on the continent so far but Nairobi is home. It's super family friendly. Lots of learning opportunities. Lots of business opportunities. Still many options to make a positive impact on society. But, as with many places on the continent, it's not a place to come looking for work. Come with an entrepreneurial spirit, a retirement income or connect with a multinational who's already here (like Oracle, PWC, Microsoft, etc.) first for better income options.

    Welcome back from Nairobi,I think you should try out planet water park in Gabba and the water park in naalya(I believe you and your family will enjoy them) and you can also tryout malls like arena mall,Victoria mall and garden City etc,if you love nature you can tryout the game parks in Western Uganda and westnile region,some of the things are not found in Uganda coz there no demand or market for them here like certain brands and commodities,for the case of houses being expensive(here people prefer renting very cheap houses or building their own houses so the expensive houses are for a certain class of people since here in Uganda every class of people have where they belong),I believe Uganda's economy will get stronger if we have more people like you to invest(coz most of the investors don't have Uganda at heart but only after their selfish gains).

    • @AfricaEverAfter

  • @firstbornchannel1525

    I tell many of my friends that Ugandan houses and land are very expensive for nothing compare to other countries, in Uganda you can spend days with no electricity or water and many roads are very very bad and still they make prices very high to buy and you can use the same money to buy somewhere in USA where you get services😢 for sure it's crazy. Which I think they don't know what makes a house or a Land to be expensive but they just ask for more and more money.

    I am Ugandan and to be fair to my fellow Ugandans who don't speak highly of their country right now, the current political climate doesn't favor the majority. Many Ugandans yearn for a positive change in the governance which is why those who can leave have opted to do so. Nonetheless, Uganda is a beautiful country which is faced with a political dilemma. And we all know politics governs almost every sector of a country. I currenlty live in the US but visit Uganda as often as I can.

      We live in Kenya(Nairobi) and so are a bit biased. Wehaven't visited Uganda yet but did explore other East African countries before moving here. In South Africa, we love Joburg and Durban too. As with most places, the cities and neighborhoods within them can vary greatly. I think Kenya and South Africa both offer the most options in terms of nature, wildlife, traditional culture and modern amenities. Remember both Nairobi and Joburg are high altitude cities. Thus Nairobi maintains pretty good weather even though the equator is just a morning drive away. Both can get cool, but Joburg gets even colder in winter. Warmest months of the year over here are Jan & Feb. Coldest time of the year around July. Great choices for family adventures and for repatriation.
