Gollum looks great and he comes included with a pretty good amount of accessories. The inclusion of three interchangeable head sculpts is much appreciated. Each one of them has been sculpted and painted nicely. However, it's unfortunate that the neck ball joint is as cumbersome as it is. It ends up becoming unnecessarily complicated as a result. I am curious about something though. Why did Diamond Select opt to include the accessories with Gollum instead of the characters themselves, especially since it's their accessories? I think that it was an odd choice, but that's just my own personal opinion. Otherwise, thanks as always Spot for another wonderful video! God bless and stay safe!
These figure from Diamond Select look freaking amazing... Just beautifully painted like the old school Mcfarlane toys figure. I recalled placing a preorder on this toys line but it was canceled and I just moved on and didn't try to find them or place a order on them from another online store... Kinda feel like I missed out on these figures. Its too bad about that non removable extra Golem heads. Great unboxing review as always 👍👏
@@TheReviewSpot No i had placed a preorder for the first wave and when they were inexplicably canceled i just decided not to collect them... I wanted to collect them all so i could have built Sauron and i needed all the figures from the fitst waves.
I'm seriously glad he comes with the daggers for Legolas, but hoping for an eventual Two Towers Legolas as I really liked that longsword the TT Toybiz one had. Cool to also get another ax for ax fiend Gimli. It's just what I axed for. I wonder if someone will eventually come with a shield for the Moria Orc since a few of them wielded those in Fellowship and ye old 2003 Two Towers videogame.
I extremely heated up the entire head and neck with my Keurig. And then I dried off everything, applied some supwr glue into the neck tunnel. And I popped that dumbell joint back in.
I have managed to get all LOTR figs to complete Sauron. I have Gollum in my sights next. I prefer this to the other one, because of the accessories he comes with for the other figs.
Iv got the other one close to that size with the ring that comes molded into his hand and tons of articulation but I like this one. looks better overall considering the above. Thank u for the review!
What does he look like next to the spider gremlin? Also the thing with the head that was happening to me with my dream warriors Freddy Krueger figure but then eventually we got it out and changed the hand
I'm still trying to get the head off of the Gollum, the balljoint is lodged right inside and won't even budge for me. don't want to break it either. hmmm interesting idea to put him next to the Spider Gremlin what a crazy display that would be huh? thanks for your comment EVE!
@@TheReviewSpot no I can’t I have tried to find him everywhere but I can’t find him I only see him on eBay but for crazy prices and my parents said I wouldn’t spend that much money on a figure. 😕 But where did you get yours btw?
Other than really the issue I have with his head, its an incredible looking figure and happy to see that they included the Rock with it too so he doesnt just stand there on the shelf. thanks for checking out the video today
@@TheReviewSpot yeaaah that rock is a very nice touch Try this pop the head out when but hot water again on the other ball join and use plyers to pull it out but but some ung soft by it like cloth so it don't break
I ended up trying again and I think for mine there seems to be a bit of extra plastic around the socket opening, wonder if its causing the Balljoint to be lodged in there, bah!
I'm surprised they didn't sculpt some lines in for the hair, could have had it sculpted to the head so it didn't need to be strands and capable of breaking

This looks like a job for a Hair Dryer! It's one tool that helps me with stubborn joints, and putting bags together. That, or warm water.

I submerged Gollum in hot water for approx. 5 minutes for his joints to move freely and made his head way easier to swap.
But why is he completely bald?.. They didn’t even draw a few hairs on his head. This is weird.
I'm surprised they didn't sculpt some lines in for the hair, could have had it sculpted to the head so it didn't need to be strands and capable of breaking
