15:30 That's the Arrow. The Flash is actually a spinoff show if the show Arrow, focusing around a batman type vigilante called Oliver Queen. Barry had met Oliver before during season 2 and that was actually leading into the pilot of the Flash show. Barry met Oliver and became friends with him so now both of their shows exist in the same continuity. They'll frequently do crossovers with each other and some of them won't make as much sense because you'd also have to be watching arrow to know what's going on in the other show

15:30 “The Flash” is part of what the fans have dubbed as the “Arrowverse”. A television universe like the MCU (marvel). Like the name suggests, the verse started with the Tv show “Arrow”. The man in green is the protagonist of Arrow, Oliver queen. Barry was introduce in the middle of Arrow’s 2nd season. There both Oliver and Barry became friends, and later on Oliver becomes like a mentor figure to Barry.
As of Season 3 of Arrow and season 1 o Flash, both shows are interconnected chronologically. Both heroes will now often show in each-others episodes in order to help themselves with their threats.
If you ever want to continue this show it is recommended for you to watch at least a resume of the other shows and their respective seasons, depending in which season you are. This also means some sort of compromise since at worst you’d have to keep up with 4 different shows. But hey, content
The chronological intersection is:
Arrow and Flash, Season 3 and 1
Arrow, Flash and Supergirl, Season 4,2 and 1
Middle of Arrow, Flash and Supergirl, Season 4,2,1 and now Legends of Tomorrow season 1

Really not underrated. Everyone was talking about this show when it came out, the first season was some of the best superhero TV all time, the next two seasons were great, then this show shit the bed S4 onward in the most epic ways.

story was decent but his superpowers are so inconsistent

The reason they thought the dad killed his mom was because when the police walked in he had the knife in his hand because he was doctor wanted to examine it, you know because there were fucking Lightning balls flying around his wife and wanted to know what that was
If I remember correctly, the physical evidence against the dad was the mom was stabbed and the dad's fingerprints were the only ones on the knife (because it was from their kitchen).

I'm so glad he is checking out this show, the first 3 seasons were a masterpiece.
Just some info:
-Seasons 1-3 and amazing
-seasons 4-5 are good but with some pretty mid episodes
-Seasons 6-7 are crap but if you continue to watch you kinda have to watch them
-And season 8-9 is better then 6-7 and clears up info about the murder of Barry’s mother.
I love This show I do recommend atleast 1-3 and if you like them then 4 onwards.

The man in the green hood is the GREEN ARROW he also becomes a member of the justice league, barry first appeared in another CW show called Arrow in S2 he played a cameo as a CCPD detective investigating a certain case. anyways, you should watch those eps to make sense of the rooftop scene and why green arrow has this sort of mentor relationship to barry.
his appearance in arrow kind of works like a soft introduction to the character and the announcement for the flash series in a way

I loved this show for the first 3 seasons season 4 was a bit meh and season 5 onward were garbage in my opinion the writing has always been pretty contrived and inconsistent but as long as you don’t watch Madvocate it’s not noticeable till season 4

To be fair, and assuming I remember correctly, his dad kinda did the stupid and picked up the murder weapon so that the police found him literally crouched over the body with a bloody knife in his hand. And the only counter evidence was his son describing something that was "impossible".
To be fair on the Dad's part, he's a doctor, he was trying to stabilize her and save her life

here is the watch order of the flash season 1:
episode 1-7
episode 8 of the flash then episode 8 of The Arrow
episode 9-23
The Reason last episode got bad review is because it didn't end as audience wanted to but every episode till season 9 is very engaging and keeps giving more information about the past the present and the future regarding the Flash. Some of them can even make you cry of how heartbreaking they can be. There are also some crossovers with The Arrow, Supergirl and Legends Of Tomorrow. So is like a never ending story. For more info just look up Arrowverse in chronological order.
