Those sculpts are pretty nice. Would've thought it could be pretty substandard given its a halo licensed miniatures game I hadn't heard of, but now I am just disappointed I can't get them as easily anymore
These look very cool - the sculpting and your painting match the iconic look of the Halo world. Vehicles really turned out great. I think most units across the games have some color variations, so if you return to painting more and can’t match the older paint, you could just vary the uniforms a bit. I usually assume all licensed games will have a short production run due to the extra costs involved, and all the behind-the-scenes hassles of getting approval for every design (with only a few long-running exceptions I can think of). It’s a good idea to collect both sides when you do take the plunge.
Nice collection, such a shame about Spartan Games. I did have a small number of these and a much larger amount of the Fleet Battle miniatures, all gone now. Completely understand about the paint colour comments, I have to respond pretty much the same to some questions about things I paint - it's often a one off mix and/or something I did some time ago so I can't remember. Cute cat companion too!
If I recall correctly there is a fan-made codex so you can add Covenant to Warhammer 40K if you still want to play a tabletop game. Of course you will also need to find third-party models that are correct size.
Also for what its worth the UNSC infantry front line squad will be 4 stands of infantry either 4 rifle stands or a 3 + a heavy weapon. Rocket Launcher or Chain gun. The sniper team was part of its own unit pack which was the recon squad 2 rifle stands + 2 Sniper stands. There is also the the heavy weapon support sqaud which is 2 rifles teams + either 2 rockets or 2 chain guns. hope that is helpful
ive always wanted to play this game but never had the chance due to when i started playing war games spartan games closed down and everything had been brought and been sold on ebay for ridiculous amount of money.
"Again I'm not a very good painter"
- A man holding very well painted models.
Seriously though, man you're a great painter.
Yeah, no way would I do all that edge-highlighting like he did on his 'hogs and Scorpion. The best I do is a drybrush and wash.

Thank you for making this video, great showcase, and I freaking loved the kitty, wholesome as heck when you caved in and throw the ball :)

Spartan Games should've had the supply sorted out before they went into production. The fact you can't even find this anymore says a lot.
I love this game and very fun. Got a 3d pinter just for it

@@ineedtostop6831 I have only seen a covenant codex. I don't think there is one for the UNSC.

What are the sizes of the wathog
Where can i buy it and halo fleet battles?
It’s all discontinued sadly, you can find stuff on EBay but original starter sets are very expensive

got into 40k tabletop recently myself, and as a big halo fan, discovered ground command. so sad that it's 'officially' dead.
3d printing groups and the fan Facebook group keeping it kinda alive still. So you can still get into it if you really want too
@@leaddeath1397 hell there's even a discord server that keeps it going
