I love these tours so much! Here in the US, we are easily impressed with any building over 200 yrs old. haha. We're a young country and I have yet to visit another older country. I would love to and see the history. This is the next best thing and you are a marvelous guide!
Wonderful! Just wonderful! Thank you, Sarah! One thousand years of history and continuity. If not more. To all watching, just consider for a moment that any member of the public may walk into one of these ancient places unsupervised and experience this for themselves. A place that has stood for a thousand years. The respect for their past and their shared culture that generation after generation of English men and women have had to practice in order to make that possible is humbling. The trust that present generations-all unknown to each other individually-have to place in one another in order to allow this to carry on for future generations should be nothing less than awe inspiring. That is how a country gets to be a thousand years old.
Absolutely wonderful walk through from beginning to end I loved it! And your camera work was great just the right pacing not to fast. Thank you so much. Really enjoy the history. Liked how you ended by sitting on the bench and seeing the view. I felt like I was walking with you the whole time. Well done!
Thank you so much for this journey to the chapel. I have a strong need to be in ancient and old churches, and those are hard to come by in America. We do have an ancient chapel in Milwaukee, Wisconsin that I can visit. It was brought here from France, and Joan of Arc prayed in the church. It is a very scared space. I'm at my most spiritual when I am with the ancestors.
So amazing this walking Solstice that you brought us to see this ancient and lovely Chapel and hear the story! Só lovely to hear the lambs, birds, the Nature! 🙏🙏🙏 Gratitude Sarah, for sharing ! Lots of Love, Light, Healing, Blessings to you, yours, and everyone!🙏💗🌸 Many, many, many Blessings !
Feels like there must be a portal on those grounds somewhere. As you walked out the door to the outside I was imagining how the grasses blowing in the wind might have looked in ages gone by.
This is my favourite video from you, in fact on the whole of youtube, its so special, I watch it regularly and it never fails to bring me complete inner peace, I Iove the train and the snow and your voice soothes and heals me. You are the only one who can make the singing bowl sing so beautifully. Thank you in abundance, its so appreciated, thank you, thank you xx
This is such a beautiful video. My heart beats for my second home - England, and today on my late mother's birthday (she died 3 years ago), I share with her our memories of her many holidays with me in the UK. Thank you Sarah for making today special for us ❤🙏🥰🇩🇰
Thank you for sharing very very interesting. Wonderful view from the bench under the oak tree & a little wren nesting really touched my heart. Solstice greetings to you to 💚
What an incredible, fascinating video! Thank you so much for sharing. I live in Australia and I can’t wait to travel and experience the rich history of other countries. ❤️
Oh thank you so much for this. I love this period of England’s history. Please do more of these if you can. Somehow THIS is what I spiritually connect with. Always have since I was a little girl in 1970s San Francisco. That pull, the feeling of home has always stayed with me.
I'm a church buff too! I love the vibes and the older the better, I love the idea they may have been places of paganism, and then wooden Anglo Saxon churches before becoming stone
What a wonderful video. With all the turmoil in the world these pockets of peace and history are gemstones, no matter what religion or non religion you believe. Thank you Sarah on this Father’s Day when some of us no longer have our fathers around.
@@Reikidreams911 my dad went to be with my mum in 2005 . 18 months after her. On their birthdays and the days of their deaths ( even if I’ve not realised the date) I will feel sluggish and down. It passes the next day.
🙏 beautiful video. I could smell the church when you entered the central part. And I felt oppressed when you started talking about the messages being told. This is a organic church in stead off the enormous cathedrals, Thanks for showing it. 🦋
Hello My Dearest Sarah. What a beautiful place.. How relaxing the grass and abundance of green 💚💚💚. My greetings to you and Love and Light. I also like how you pointed out all the ancient graffiti.. hehe 😂😂
This video was so relaxing and informative and fun to watch, I immediately saved it to my all time favorite asmr videos playlist. Thank you so much for sharing 💜
This was absolutely beautiful, and I'm sure I'll be watching this video many times in the future. Although I do have to say, it left me with a very lonely sort of feeling. I'm not entirely sure why.
This was so interesting! I decided to look further into him after seeing the alternative spelling of the name (Botwulf) on Wiki, coupled with the fact that the Lutheran movement revered him. There wasn’t that much available (only did a quick search as I was on my way to the shops when I found the video & watched it instead☺️), but according to the info available in Swedish, in the days of agrarian society, St Botulf’s Day was supposed to be the best day of the year for planting turnips! So looking forward to your next historical video!💕
Just finished watching the History Channel series “Mankind: the story of us all” (on UA-cam). Per that series, Emperor Constantine was the first emperor to become Christian (he legalized it, too).
Could that sealed circular space have been a leper's window? Also, I'm sure you are familiar with the little church at Chithurst that sits on its knoll not far from Chichester 🤗
Thank you from California 💓
What an ancient and peaceful place! Thank you for this little journey, you’re a great storyteller ❤️
I really enjoyed this walkabout.
Sarah you are absolutely fascinating. I could listen to you talk and talk all day. Keep well and stay safe!
This brought me so much peace, and sparked my excitement for history once more 🥰

It’s closed now. I’d have to dig photos out of the garage- they are buried away - it was the 80’s and fashions were blahhhhh 🤣🤣🤣
