Love the way Coldplay members handled this interview, always showing their human and humble side, despite some malicious questions. And I'm really happy cause they truly built a beautiful relationship of respect and mutual admiration with BTS 💜 Hope they've the chance of another colaboration in the future

BTS is phenomenal... 9 years in the business and still growing and LOVED.
He is not at all disrespectful, just a little unaware. But factually speaking, Coldplay really has been long in the business of music compared to BTS! Apparently, it was formed in 1996! They handled the question really well! My respect for Coldplay keeps increasing with time! I hope ARMYs don't make an issue of it! Love!💜

It was never the intention of Klaas (the presenter) to portray BTS as less talented. He just said that BTS is not as long in the business as Coldplay. His thought was in no way meant to be hurtful. It's just very unusual that stars who have been in the business for 25 years collapse with younger bands. Because most of the time the age difference is too big and so the views etc. are too different. So absolutely no one there thinks BTS would be untalented or anything else. In the podcast "Baywatch Berlin" they had even mentioned a few weeks ago that they like BTS.

hat mit der generellen Fremdenfeindlichkeit in den deutschen Medien zu tun. ein mittelmässiger Westerner (Bieber) ist immer besser als ein ausgezeichneter POC act.

Wow I missed this interview, at least he wasnt outright rude like some other interviewers, he just showed his inexperience with knowing about BTS. Its different with western music or if its on the local radio over the years you hear about them more often. Were as BTS took longer to get the knowledge globally, even if army itself was global. Could of been a worse interview but I am extremely happy that both coldplay members sorted that one out........

coldplay just sees through shit, they're not just being kind or humble or defensive or loyal to bts, they're just saying it as what it is, BTS do work hard and as artists coldplay recognize this, such camaraderie with music is what we live for

In dem Interview hat mich Klass krass an Stefan Raab. Diese Interviewführung, bei der pedantisch darauf bestanden wird, einen Witz zu bringen, egal ob der Witz gerade in die Situation passt oder nicht. Der Wortwitz mit Higher Power. Ich glaube, Chris hat den nicht gecheckt und der Bandkollege war nicht sicher, ob er lachen oder weinen soll.

You know what funny is,, I got this information about the statement & comparison "BTS is not that long in business compared to you"; for whatever reasons you had, I got the gist, but instead of getting mad at you interviewer, I'm impressed by what Chris & Will said (10:28). So, I go to youtube to find that exact video, typing "Chris Martin defends BTS" on the search column. And guess what? This video appears on the top of the list...
No hate here, just appreciating how Chris Martin & Will Champion truly think about BTS. They obviously admire them, even though people might think they dislike the guys from the words of "unusual mix, weird idea, two bands who shouldn't be in love" Chris has said (just because the two bands speak different languages, duh), the admiration is clearly seen there (and in more interviews and documentaries)...

Du kannst ja mal in ihre Diskographie reinhören, vielleicht wirst du überrascht :) (und bitte etwas anderes als Butter und Dynamite, die beiden Songs repräsentieren ihre Musik sehr schlecht lol)
Alle Alben drehen sich um bestimmte Themen und in vielen lassen sich Inspirationen von anderen Künstlern finden. Das Album WINGS ist zum großen Teil von Hermann Hesses Roman 'Demian' beeinflusst und ebenso von Friedrich Nietzsche. Und ein späteres Album, Map of the Soul: 7 ist inspiriert von der Psychologie von Carl Jung.
Und BTS bespricht sehr viele relevante Themen, von sozio-kultureller Kritik zu Themen wie Selbstliebe und die Suche nach dem wahren Selbst. Auf keinen Fall schnelllebig :)

German here. The host is known for this kind of interview. He is in line with so many of Germany's pseudo-intellectuals trying to come across as "man of the world" and having such an exquisite taste in all things culture. In fact, he is incredibly narrow-minded. I know so many people like him. He saw BTS, young men who wear make-up, dress sharply and do not look what a lot of people in the west consider masculine. Klaas can be quite funny, but he's limited when it comes to looking beyond your own comfort zone.
