You haven’t realised yet how absolutely brilliantly you are doing. The food will actually outlast the week, your reading and planning for financial growth are both growing. You should congratulate yourself on a pretty impressive start.Keep going, that’s all it takes.
Oh thank you Barbara I am totally trying xx now got to sort the work budget/finances but sitting down to do that with my colleague Friday! X
I've just totalled up my spare change jar...just under £50! I'm now making the ladies in my local shop laugh by buying something small from my shopping list each day and counting out my coppers on the counter. Every penny counts 😂
Wow Julie that’s fab! What goodies have you been getting from your local shop? X
I've just paid off the last bit of debt that I had lingering away, that I have been paying off for best part of 3 years. This month's wages, after paying my rent and bills, there's so much left over now I don't have to pay off my credit card, Klarna, etc. I managed to put £400 straight in my savings this month.
I've also set myself a challenge for May, to only spend £15 on food and £10 on non-food per week. I'm feeling positive about it, but we'll see.
Amazing Dylan! So proud of you xx
I have absolutely no idea how I came across your channel 2/3 weeks ago but I have to say, you make me laugh out loud so much 😂😂 your turn of phrase is very entertaining and down to earth. Love how you’re “normal” trying to save a few bob like the rest of us!!
I’m so glad! Your comment made me smile xx
How exciting about your Milan trip. Hopefully you will get to do a little sightseeing. I agree about house/ pet sitting. Paid people for years until I could rope my adult children into the job. Now we do their pet sitting! Excellent work on getting your financial house in order!!
Yes! Now just need to do it at work. Financial tidying! X
You ARE DOING IT and making changes! Congratulations! I always enjoy seeing Jack. You channel is very inspiring. Do keep it going. Thank you.
Yay Gina, we got this! 💪💪💪🐈⬛ xx
Go you!! You are really getting into it. Great to see the momentum build ❤
I’m starting to really sort it out! Exciting x
I agree about Jack. I never put my cats in the cattery. ❤ I've been doing cash envelopes for years now. It really helps. I couldn't do without them now 😊 x
Love the sound of cash envelopes Christine xx
Well done Rechenda that is great news about a break from routine and something to look forward to I'm sure it will be nice and sunny x
Hi Gail yes I hope so it will be lovely to go! S
You are my new fave youtuber! Love your vibe!
Thank you! X
Really inspiring ! Milan sounds brill. X
Thanks Claire! I’m so excited xx
You are amazing 😊, so inspiring. I've started to freeze unused vegetables. Jack is adorable ❤
Hey Robyn! Thanks so much Jack says hi x
New sub here. Those lasagna bites look delicious. I will definitely be making these. Jack is just gorgeous.
Hello and welcome! Jack says hi! X those bites were totes delicious x
Quiche made with cooked ham layered in place of pastry can be really nice
Omg what a FAB idea will definitely try!! X
I'm saving for a £1,000 emergency fund at the same time as bringing down my debt - for me I pay off minimum on all but one credit card (so they are coming down a little bit) then any extra money I get in the month from anything that isn't my main wage I use 10% to pay extra off debt and another 10% towards emergency fund...I also put anything left at the end of the month towards debt too...I'm being pretty frugal so even though I'm on a tiny wage I'm still managing to end the month with something left over to put towards debt
Oh and btw I'm 45 ... don't worry about the age thing!
Hey Bixie wow well done on the plan of attack we totally got this 💪💪💪❤️❤️ xx
Hi .. enjoyed as usual..💞
Thank you Carla! 🤗
Cute kitchen.
Thank you Charley! I rent but I’ve tried to put my own stamp on it with decor and the landlord let me paint the cupboards x
Shame your almond flour quiche base didn't work, maybe almond flour would work better for a cheesecake base instead. Loved your chocolate forest pudding, will try that out myself. 🤩
Yes it was a bit of fail next time I’m going to try to use ham as the actual base! X
Great recipes, cute cat pic
He sooo cute and he knows it x
*Greek yogurt*
Go for authentic greek yoghurt ( Aldi sells it £1.80) or Fage. It's got 10% protein compared to greek style 4% protein
Oooh great tip! X
@@BudgetFoodieUKlarge tube of fage is about 4 pounds here granted its lovely but i would defo stick to the store brands i get lidl or asda plain greek yogurt and one with honey added full fat all the way better flavour. We dont have aldi or i would follow up on this reccommendation .px
Have now got the better yoghurt as per your suggestion :)
Cauliflower and bacon bake looks right up my street and the girls would also enjoy it for sure so that woyld be a win win . Intrigued to try the mini lasagne bits for penni and me as the girls are all at home due to ih invisible husbands injury . If i can pre make stuff for lunches then they just have to reheat and stops them grabbing take away snacks and sandwiches and meals made from the local deli . Px
The cauliflower bake is my new go-to! X
Milan sounds fun - enjoy! I recommend Dave Ramsey’s book - Total Money Management! Jack was sweet holding your leg. How is his girlfriend?
Oooh I shall look it up thank you Danielle x
The girlfriend has been loitering in the back garden a few times, soooo cute xx
Lovely clothes in Milan😮
I shall be good! No purchases! X
@@BudgetFoodieUK you better keep your eyes clothes then ha ha px
I will look away!
Oh no, I could have babysat Jack. I'm insured, DBS checked and everything. My penny pots update is...today I changed up £28. Pleased, and now have cash stuffed it into the electric envelope in preparation for crazy winter bill
That is really good on your change pot! Do you live anywhere near Norwich h? lol 😂
@@BudgetFoodieUK Colchester, I would have treated it as a mini break 😬
@@rosemarie-karma Colchester! I used to live in wivenhoe! X
@@BudgetFoodieUK Up the road. Only the university would separate us. Miss Marple actress used to live there. We still have the lovely Martin Newell
Wow amazing!! I shall keep you posted re Jack and mini break if my person lets me down x
What’s the device you use on your courgettes? I’m going to grow some this year . I stopped eating them after a glut when I had my allotment but I’m ready to eat them again. I used to use a spiralizer but that’s too big for my little flat.
Hey lady bug here is the little device: www.josephjoseph.com/products/spiro-hand-held-spiralizer-green?variant=36470417489992&countryswitcher=no&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI68mZ96rthQMVM5ZQBh0NTwBLEAQYAiABEgJ0MvD_BwE
yo really cool video but its hard to understand you. Might try a few of these recipes though, they use a low of stuff I buy on my grocery trips.
Aww sorry about that xx

@@BudgetFoodieUK good otherwise i should be very offended i can guarantee you will have lots of adventures . Dresscode wellies and overalls not quite as stylish as milan 🤔🙂 i bet you r excited and mr jack will be fine for a few days anyhow now hes got his girlfriend to occupy him haha. I got positive feedback from the hospital today so if i continue to improve i should be able to entertain you sooner rather than later px

@@BudgetFoodieUK i thought claire posted sunday but hey ho saturday is even better 1 less day to wait !!! As per usual eating late again after sorting the girlies first going to watch your latest food shop just to make sure u r sticking to the budget ha ha px
So the firm you are working for is giving you less money for more work. You are doing more work for less money. I wonder who got the best deal!
Sometimes you gotta do things for life experience not just the dollar x
