First time with hearing aids!

Antonio has mild & moderate hearing loss in both ears, confirmed from an ABR done last year. We knew he could still hear but we didn't really know how much or how impaired it was for him. This has truly been quite the process to get to this point but I'm glad we're finally here.
As you will see in this video there is a marked difference in Antonio once the hearing aids are on, near the one minute mark. Although he is non-verbal and a developmentally delayed four year old, it's clear in expression his hearing was immediately boosted!
In the years leading up to this diagnosis of permanent hearing loss we would get inaccurate results from the standard hearing tests performed due to multiple reasons. He wasn't born with hearing loss but it is something that can get progressively worse for children like Antonio with a diagnosis of Menke-Hennekam. We will continue to be monitored by the audiology team The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
To any parents who are hesitant or in doubt of whether hearing aids might help - even for the smallest of loss - I can tell you from this first experience and the ones in the days afterwards that these aids have made such a difference.
