- There once was a "Giant of the Light" who protected the Earth from monsters and alien invasions. His name was Ultraman.
Ultraman has left Earth, but his "genes of Light" has been passed on to a teenager, Shinjiro Hayata.
Will Shinjiro be able to harness the power of the Ultrasuit, and step up to the responsibilities of being the new Ultraman?

The first fight just hits different after you learn that Bemular is actually Ultraman himself. He's basically teaching Shinjiro to be worthy of being the next HIM.

One thing I really loved about this series is the way they utilised sound effects from the original Ultraman series for the suit up effects and Limiter disengaging.
And when hes going to fly "Sshhaaa"

最終的に機械が壊れていてもスペシウム光線撃てるのでやっぱウルトラマンのアナザーワールドとして完璧ですわ。
効果音にかなり特撮ウルトラマンのものが使われている
こんな所まで気を使ってくれるスタッフに感謝したいですね
コネクタでスペシウム光線の下りは、本当によいアイデアだと思った
その後の覚醒してコネクタの故障時に本物をブチかまして勝利するのが熱い！

お陰で、対ダダ戦のときは八分前後は戦えてると言う
子供の頃、ウルトラマンに、正義の味方に憧れたあの頃を思い出してふと涙が出てきた。
大人になった今ウルトラマンに憧れて体の弱さを克服して強くなったけど何が正義が分からなくなった今、しょうもない人生を送ってきたけどまた大事な物を思い出した気がする。
やっぱ、ウルトラマンはかっこいいや。
流石俺が人生で一番最初に憧れた存在なだけはある。

先入観だけで視聴切るには惜しい作品なのでぜひ原作と同時に追ってもらいたい。
Ultraman is my childhood way before jack,seven,taro and now with mebius,hikari,tiga and ginga,etc when this show came up i was excited,this needs a second season!!

In the manga he couldn't fly until ide upgraded his suit and red king was supposed to be an ally , he wasn't supposed to die like that . Some parts in the story have changed like the fight with ace killers
I'd just noticed in the transformation scene it first shows a starry nebula which is actually Nebula M78 which is Ultramen's home nebula. Very good little easter egg there. ❤❤
I love the series. I can’t wait for season two then after that hopefully a season three!

The manga is better than this animation series.. I highly recommend to read it. The artwork is fantastic. No need to wait for S2.

Well, no other studio went full in. It was always cell-shaded and mimicing the movements of 2D anime. More and more studios are starting to throw their hats into the ring, however, with series like Dragon Quest, Pokemon, and my favorite example, Lupin III: The First.

I know right on artstation and Pinterest I have seen many fanmade ultraman armor suit designs my favorite being ultraman nova and mebius

I thought the same thing about the suits. The beam the suit to the wearer thing is about the only thing Stark never did, but he probably could've thrown something together if he'd needed/had to.

It's based on a manga series that's a direct sequel to the original Ultraman series from the 60's

an ultraman wearing iron man suit that can go trans-arm. not a fan of ultraman but this is one of my favourite anime.
The manga is better than this animation series.. I highly recommend to read it. The artwork is fantastic. I find it highly disrespectful that Netflix doesn't mention that this is simply an adaptation of the manga. The manga has been ongoing for 10 years now by two wonderful creators, Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi.
i wouldnt say its better, 10 years doesnt mean its better, but they are both decent tbh. The animation series changed some of the plot if comparing to the manga but they are both pretty interesting to enjoy.
