Ky, do you have any bamboo cane, or river cane in the area, or a store selling big diameter (and long) cane. Making a strong 6-8 foot cane pole, you can baton down the smaller diameter end's first section into mini 7-10 bamboo harpoon tines. Lightly steam the cane tines to be an outward reaching 3 inch diameter spear tip. Bevel, cut, and sand the cane tines into absolute razor sharp harpoon edges. This is a single jab and stab harpoon. If you reverse the cane, holding the thinner upper cane section in your hand, and the larger wider ground cane section as the spear harpoon tines. Cut off the ground section (as a 2 section unit) for a detachable harpoon (like a metal harpoon on a wooden pole). Cut back the cane pole until you get a smaller section of cane to loosely-snug fit into the larger harpoon tine section. Then saw down the smaller cane section allowing a rope/bank line etc to slide in this notch. The rope/bank line fits through 2 drilled holes in the detachable harpoon section. This is a jab and stab pole, with a detachable harpoon. Ultralightweight. Good luck, and happy "catching." Fishing is fishing, catching is catching. I go catching, not fishing DDDDDDD
I want to thank you very much pardner. This is a great video. Great fishing harpoon how to make start to finish. Truly I hope you keep making your videos. Your how to's are inspiring.
Congratulations dude !!! The best UA-cam's video of how to forge a gig , missed show closer detail but still was great. Continue posting. Greetings from Brazil. Health and Peace.
I remember watching Tom Hanks in the movie cast away make one too. he learned to increase his odds by making more barbs at the end of the spear. but I don't think he could have made one of these. great video enjoyed it.

I think you need to be checked for human worms--as to look at you and knowing your area I think you have an infection of them due to your weight which you seem to be getting skinnier--not to make fun but possibly save your life--best get a stool sample sent to doctor and soon.
Nice, I always like to see this guy's projects.. Keep up the good work
I love Ky's videos. His metalworking and shaping/grinding are very enjoyable and enlightening. Thanks!
