He said “someday, baby you & I will be ONE”…. So it is a love song. Just think..,they started in 1958 and this performance was in 1989, so by then, they had been writing & singing together for over 30 years together and they had 15 more years of singing together and bringing us great music. I think one of the most underrated aspects of them was their songwriting. They wrote ALL their songs and were just poets with their lyrics and were masters in creating memorable melodies!❤
BeeGees started well before the 70s …..they have been around since the 50s they started performing in 1958 their first hit Spicks and Specks was in 1966 the 70s was the era where they were catapulted to world stardom with Album Saturday Night fever it stayed at number 1 in the US for 24 weeks…. They have written over 1000 songs not just for themselves but for many other top recording artists
Andy was supposed to join them for this tour but unexpectedly died. Definitely written as a romantic proposal, but also would be the perfect song to celebrate Andy joining up with them. Thanks for reacting.
Good you playing our neighbours we grew up with here in Manchester .so proud we lived near these phenomenally talented boys, they used to make us laugh our socks off too. Very very funny n fantastic voices all 3, like an instrument so amazing you can never buy. We've loved them since tiny tots n loved so much even now, n we was truly blessed n they gave us signed photos wch we still treasure. Sadly we lost our beautiful mo and our rob. Left too soon. 😢😢 but it was great to have them. N no how lucky we are n our neighbours not once but twice in our life. N our Barry we still talk. Best brothers ever. N to this world. 👏💙💙💙👏💙👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🇬🇧😁😁😁
No, incorrect. The Bee Gee's have been around since the 60's. Some of their greatest albums and songs came from this time. Started in Australia after the family emigrated from the UK.
Great reaction. This song was title song , album was to have included younger brother Andy but he passed away 3/10/1988. So album dedicated to him. Some songs were about how they felt about losing him like Wish you were here and Tears. Both beautiful but will bring you to tears. ❤
@@narellesmith7932 oh here we go …okay to be precise they were born on the Isle of Man which is a British Crown dependency so are all British ….Barry was age 12 when they moved to Australia and were only in Australia for 8 years before coming back to UK then they moved to Miami in the early 70s .. and then lived between UK and USA … Barry has British/American duel citizenship ….but No, none of the BeeGees including the youngest brother Andy ever had Australian citizenship !!!
The 70's??? The Brothers Gibb (Bee Gees) were first on Australian TV in 1960 at ages 9 and 12. Around 1968 to 1970 while still teenagers (except for the oldest Barry) they rivalled the Beatles for hysterical fans and their songs tied the Beatles for 5 hits in the Billboard top 10 in the same week. Most reactors do only their "disco" stuff so they're missing a lot of good music. They ALL had terrific voices. Both Robin (with the cap) and Barry (the lead here) did many leads and Maurice (on the left) sang lead less often but was an amazing musician and harmoniser. If you like vibrato, listen to a Robin lead, he was the Vibrato King, Maybe "I can't see nobody" or "Bodyguard" for Robin and "Closer than close" or "Hold her in your hand" for Maurice. They all were composers for their own music and for other big artists. I agree with another suggestion here, Medley - live in Melbourne 1989! You can hear each brother and enjoy their interaction.
Yeah! I don't know why everyone ignores this one. Twenty years after their peak and they still sound great.
They started in the 50s as kids, and got their legit first hits in the 60s....long before the disco era.

Good suggestion but she was wrong in saying 'from the 70s' - their first big hit was 'Spicks & Specks' in Australia in 1965.

BRILLIANT
Excellent British trio
