I was unaware of who my family was for most of my life. I didn't know my mom all too well, and I didn't know my father at all and nothing about him whatsoever.
After DNA testing, I discovered that I have a match through paternal lineage with Niall, R-M269. I'm still trying to figure it out, but I am pretty sure he was my great grandfather by 160 or so generations.

My Surname is "TUOHEY" O'Tuathaigh (meaning ruler). They were amongst the many tribes of western Ireland, septs of the Hy Niall who were descended from King Niall of the Nine Hostages. King Niall was perhaps the most famous of all Irish Kings being responsible for harassing the Roman departure from England at the foot of the Alps.

I am a direct descendent of Niall 1 of 2000 of his closest descendants. Genetic code R-L555 related to domhal Niall meaning donald in English Donald ray Lawley II meaning world ruler and and survivor in Gaelic first name directly translates to him didn’t know until I did a 23 and me test
