Ends was good but the trilogy overall was disappointing despite being my favourite timeline so far. I think there were two big issues imho. 1.Firstly they should have had a bigger death count for Myers post H1 so the flashback scenes could have been an entire movie with Hawkins the protagonist. This would have fleshed out the town's hysteria for Myers return in 2018 and made kills mob mentality feel more earned. Or if not a standalone a more impactful end to the night he came home to create the same goal. Make Michaels legacy for 78 lead to a more believable impact on the town as a whole than it did. Then kills should have been the conclusion of the trilogy with Laurie vs Michael fighting it out after Karen's dearh and then both dying in the Myers house or Laurie just surviving. 2. Rob Zombie definitely gave the franchise depth rather than remaking the same movie over and over again. He literally made a movie about how a person becomes a psychopathic and then followed it with how a traumatic experience can create a psychopathic all over again, which explains the endless cycle of a Michael Myers. It's actually funny that John Carpenter hates the second Halloween movie so much for trying to be different when he himself switched gears for Halloween 3 and then came back to the franchise only to practically remake zombies vision with this new Halloween trilogy. Michael Myers is supposed to be pure evil. Wait! He's just a man now lol.

My list, from worst to best: My list is long so bare with me! :D 13 - Halloween Resurrection ~ This movie I refuse to watch, dumbest Halloween movie ever made. When they killed off Laurie that's when I leave the room. 12 - Halloween Ends ~ I felt like I was scammed when I left the theater, the movie is nothing like the trailer made me thought it would be, and Michael had no scenes pretty much until the end, and the end was the only good part of Halloween Ends, this movie as supposed to be the final and BEST one, it could have been great, but they did it terribly. Jamie Lee Curtis though did her role as Laurie once again wonderfully; she is the main reason I enjoyed this movie slightly more, even if she is considered as a ''side character''. This movie really made me upset and extremely disappointed. 11 - Halloween Part II (Rob Zombie) ~ This movie started off alright, but after the hospital scenes were all over it went downhill from there, it's not the worst Halloween movie to me but it's not good either at all. Way too violent for my liking. 10 - Halloween Part III Season of The Witch ~ No Michael, equals automatic hatred for me, but this movie I had to give a chance, and it turned out to be slightly better than I thought it would be, good? Not really, interesting story, again not really. It was just boring for me. 9 - Halloween Part 6: The Curse of Michael Myers ~ This movie did one thing wonderfully, and that was Michael's brutality, the movie had him at his most brutal before Halloween Kills. But the rest wasn't really good, I always hated the ''curse'' aspect of Michael, never made sense to me. But this film always had a sinister feeling over me when watching, it's an eerie film. But in reality, it's not really good really. 8 - Halloween Part 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers ~ This movie has the problem of being downright so creepy, but so stupid at the same time. Michael looked stupid in his alien mask, some acting scenes were awful, but some scenes were horrifying, like the laundry chute scene, or the car chase. This movie is just alright to me, it's watchable. 7 - Halloween Part 4: The Return of Michael Myers ~ This movie has its flaws, and good parts to it. Danielle Harris was a perfect role for this film, she is just too adorable as Jamie. Michael again looks ridiculous in his mask, but the kills and scenes were pretty average. This movie is just again average, and bland. It's not bad though, newer people who are being introduced to the franchise will enjoy this I feel. 6 - Halloween (Rob Zombie) ~ I loved how they went into Michael's backstory at the start, some scenes were pretty hilarious, but then when you go further in the movie, some parts get just too much for me, the acting in this film was pretty good overall, I love the new Laurie in this movie as well, she's cute! This movie overall is just VERY violent like part II, but a lot better, but some scenes were again a bit too much for me. 5 - Halloween Kills ~ I used to dislike this film a bit until I saw Halloween Ends, and now after watching Halloween Kills again after, I appreciate it a lot more. I EXTREMELY appreciate of how much time Michael got in this movie, and how badass and brutal he was, and how they brought back some of the original cast really makes me enjoy it even further. ''Evil Dies Tonight'' gets annoying after hearing it for the 100th time, but the story behind this film is very powerful when you think of it. Jamie Lee Curtis did AMAZING in this movie even if she wasn't in many scenes really, the acting was very bad in a few scenes, but the rest is pretty good I'd say. Again, after seeing Halloween Ends you will appreciate Halloween Kills a lot more than before, believe me. Michael having such a huge effect on Haddonfield really shows how much damage he has done. 4 - Halloween H20: 20 years Later ~ Let's just forget Resurrection existed and ever happened, I loved how fierce Laurie was in this film, like Jamie Lee Curtis stated in a speech, it's about a girl who stops running and faces the man who has terrorized her for all these years, and that's exactly what this movie delivers. Acting was great, a lot of scenes had me on the edge of my seat, especially the ending, overall, I enjoyed this movie a lot. 3 - Halloween 2018 ~ This movie was a heartwarming movie to me; it brought back a broken family after all the terror happened that Laurie was waiting for forty years for, everybody in this film did wonderful with their role, the movie is scary, funny, and overall, one of the best Halloween films. Laurie went from a babysitter to a fucking BADASS, I loved Jamie Lee Curtis as usual. This movie does not disappoint. 2 - Halloween II 1981 ~ I don't care what the critics say, this movie was great, a perfect continuation from the original, Michael is still terrifying, the story behind it is great! The chase between Laurie and Michael had me on the edge of my seat like usual, Loomis made me laugh a lot in this film, this film is super nostalgic to me as well because I watched it a lot as a kid. It's just perfect to me. 1 - Halloween 1978 ~ The best of them all, nothing will ever beat the original, it's what it started it all, it is creepy as hell., awesomely made for a 70s movie. It's a classic movie. It will remain the best, and my favorite Halloween film.
For years, I have regarded Rob Zombie’s Halloween II as my least favorite, most stupid movie of all time. After seeing Halloween Ends, I can no longer say that about it…
After seeing Ends again, the extended cut needs to be released for final judgment as could have huge impact on the film but overall you are right and it was a misstep as a trilogy closer.. Also I with agree a with a lot of people who are saying kills should have included the last ten minutes of ends and seen Michael die there and then and Corey become a continuation of the series in its own right. Maybe even seeing hallucinations of Michael in the sewer would be a cool twist and plays on the notion of Michael being supernatural, I.E a literal ghost, or Corey being mad. Or if you want to go really crazy the extended cut of Ends shows Michael fled town when the Myers house is demolished and the man in the sewers we all thought was Michael is another homeless man. Perhaps he was taught by Myers to follow on in his footsteps, he even injures the man in ways that resemble his own wounds, like his eye and fingers and facial burns due to hin seeing their shared likeness. This gives Michael the opportunity for getting the police off his back and free him up to continue elsewhere, or to at least buy him some time whilst inflicting more harm on Haddonfield through this copycat. The copycat then has a similar meeting with Corey so the theme of copycat killers is the key to Ends and Corey foreshadows the twist and also the idea of Myers infecting people with evil but in different ways. A concept that was first set up in 18 by Sartain. After all the homeless man who wanted the mask and attacked Corey looked uncannily like Myers and the notes on Myers in H18 hinted he was trying to escape all the time. Maybe he kills his first victim in his new town and the cycle starts somewhere else far away from Haddonfield. Michael is very smart after all and why would he stay in Haddonfield if his home was destroyed? That was what broke his cycle. Evil doesn't just change shape it finds a new home. Maybe this is the get out clause for Trancas? Laurie and the town gets peace but the story continues elsewhere. Maybe that is how you defeat Myers. Destroy his home so he moves on. A bit like the Ring. You copy the tape to save yourself but you cannot destroy the curse. In all fairness though I doubt this will happen but would make more sense than how they tried to recon Myers death in resurrection even with Laurie removing Myers mask. They opened Kills with a huge flashback so if they did go this route would be a great opener to a new movie. Hehe call it Halloween moves. 😆😆 Btw you are so right. Had the mask and music in H20 been the same as 18 then H20 would be awesome rather than almost great.
My updated list: 13) Halloween 2 RZ 12) Halloween 6 (Prefer the Director's cut, if I counted that it would be way higher) 11) Halloween Resurrection (I can be entertained for what it is but I can't take in Laurie's death😅, not a way to go.. hated that) 10) Halloween 5 (Major flaws here, still have mixed feelings towards it so kind of difficult to rank this one) 9) Halloween 4 8) Halloween (2007) 7) Halloween Kills 6) Halloween 3: Season of the Witch 5) Halloween H20 4) Halloween 2 (1981) 3) Halloween Ends (It guaranteed to me the one thing I expected the most, a definitive end. Great performances.. I liked it but I can understand both sides of the divided fan base. For me, it needed more content when it came to the final act, but that's pretty much it) 2) Halloween (1978) 1) Halloween (2018) Director cuts included: 13) Halloween 2 RZ (Director's cut) 12) Halloween 5 11) Halloween Resurrection 10) Halloween 2007 (Director's Cut) 9) Halloween 4 8) Halloween Kills 7) Halloween 3: Season of the Witch 6) Halloween 6 (Director's cut) 5) Halloween H20 4) Halloween 2 (1981) 3) Halloween Ends 2) Halloween (1978) 1) Halloween (2018)
From worst to best rob zombies halloween 2, Halloween 6, Halloween 5, Halloween resurrection , Halloween 4, Halloween 3, rob zombies halloween, halloween kills, halloween ends, Halloween 2018, Halloween 2(1981) , h2o, Halloween 1978. Original was the best. I actually liked ends.
it's weird because I didn't hate Ends even though disappointed and wasn't really a Halloween movie. However, even though I think it's definitely better than Resurrection, I don't see myself rewatching it too many times tbh. I have and will continue to occasioanly watch, however, Resurrection in the background for a laugh. That make sense?
1. Halloween 1978 2. Halloween 2018 3. Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers 4. Halloween 2 2009 5. Halloween 2007 6. Halloween 2 1981 7. Halloween 3: Season of the Witch 8. Halloween H20 9. Halloween Kills 10. Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers. 11. Halloween Ends 12. Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers 13. Halloween: Resurrection
Yo what's up man , people have to understand Jamie Lee Curtis wanted her character to die how she did in Ressurection . H20 there was a Court battle before filming but jlc knew it was going on . Moustapha Akkad loved Micheal Myers basically That' the moneymaker for Trancas . Of course they brought him back I know you know this but alot of fans don't, part of Ressurection was filmed in H20 . Jlc could of made it better but she did not want anything to do with it even though she signed a two picture deal . Glad to see a real ranking of ENDS and speak truth to how bad Ends is . I despise film . It's Hollywood trying to piss of Halloween Fandom . Blumhouse knew what would happen they all did . It's a shame
1. H78 2. H20 3. H2 4. H18 5. H4 (it's overrated IMO) 6. H5 (It's a funny rewatch) 7. HRez (See H5) 8. H Ends 9. Kills 10. H6 11. I don't count H3 because it's a stand alone anthology or Rob Zombie
I pretty agree with the list. I'd maybe switch 3 and 4. I like H20 but Micheal just isn't convincing in that movie, I don't like the performance, or look at all. It's just got that 90's cheese to it that for me personally holds it back. Regardless its still one of the better sequels.
Ends should have been Kills, and Kills should have been Ends. Do the Friday The13t Part 5 imposter storyline in the middle, then bring Michael back for a glorious conclusion.
Hi Brad great video man hope your well, i know you really like H20 and i remember going to the theatre in 97 or 98 to see it, i took my nephew who was 12 at the time it was rated AA here in Canada , anyhow for me i never took to H20 , i dont like the shape or the way his eyes buldge out of the mask or the ending with Laurie for me was to far fetched, so when she steals the van at the end and he rips out of the body bag, was that Michael or the medic BS ? did they make that stupid shit up later or did they know? cause you would think all the medic had to do was rip his mask off ????
Halloween Ends was not really necessary if you kill Myers with the bus mob at the end of " Kills ". Tommy Doyle would have been the hero. End of Franchise. If it was up to me. Thank you though. Good list.
It blows my mind, literally, that so many people put H20 above H18. Everything in H18 is better - Directing is better, better cinematography, better shots, better score, better set pieces - Characters, WAAAAAAAAAY better in H18. Allison is way much better than whining, rebellious, bitchy Josh Hartnett, Officer Hawkins MILES.... MILES better than L.L. Cool jay, The blonde babysitter is better than all 3 of the side teenagers in H20 put together. And Michael himself, THEE. MAIN. REASON. EVERYBODY. COMES. TO. HALLOWEEN. FOR........ Miles....... Miles....... MILES better than H20 Myers. Better kills, better performance by Jamie Lee, better mask for Michael......... LATERALLY everything is better in H18. If I see one more person put H20 above H18, I'm gonna turn into Michael Myers myself
I totally watched the movies, actually, poor Lori ☹️ I knew there was such evil, I really hate Allyson, Corey dating, what a horrible thing. get out of here Allyson 😡Congratulations to Laurie and the whole movie was good, absolutely beautiful and pretty Laurie ☺️❤️

I really like this new trilogy. AND to me Halloween 2 from 1981 is my favorite
My list, from worst to best: My list is long so bare with me! :D
13 - Halloween Resurrection ~ This movie I refuse to watch, dumbest Halloween movie ever made.
Halloween H20 is amazing. I still love it and I’ll still always put it above Halloween 2018 (even though I like that movie too).
Btw you are so right. Had the mask and music in H20 been the same as 18 then H20 would be awesome rather than almost great.
awesome ranking

My updated list:
13) Halloween 2 RZ
12) Halloween 6 (Prefer the Director's cut, if I counted that it would be way higher)
11) Halloween Resurrection (I can be entertained for what it is but I can't take in Laurie's death😅, not a way to go.. hated that)
10) Halloween 5 (Major flaws here, still have mixed feelings towards it so kind of difficult to rank this one)
9) Halloween 4
8) Halloween (2007)
7) Halloween Kills
6) Halloween 3: Season of the Witch
5) Halloween H20
4) Halloween 2 (1981)
3) Halloween Ends (It guaranteed to me the one thing I expected the most, a definitive end. Great performances.. I liked it but I can understand both sides of the divided fan base. For me, it needed more content when it came to the final act, but that's pretty much it)
2) Halloween (1978)
1) Halloween (2018)
Director cuts included:

Fantastic ranking bro.

I pretty agree with the list. I'd maybe switch 3 and 4. I like H20 but Micheal just isn't convincing in that movie, I don't like the performance, or look at all. It's just got that 90's cheese to it that for me personally holds it back. Regardless its still one of the better sequels.

Everything in H18 is better
- Directing is better, better cinematography, better shots, better score, better set pieces
- Characters, WAAAAAAAAAY better in H18. Allison is way much better than whining, rebellious, bitchy Josh Hartnett, Officer Hawkins MILES.... MILES better than L.L. Cool jay,
The blonde babysitter is better than all 3 of the side teenagers in H20 put together.
I didn’t like it much it was OK but it wasn’t the best one they had
I totally watched the movies, actually, poor Lori ☹️ I knew there was such evil, I really hate Allyson, Corey dating, what a horrible thing. get out of here Allyson 😡Congratulations to Laurie and the whole movie was good, absolutely beautiful and pretty Laurie ☺️❤️
To me halloween ends is the worst f this movie
I love it. But the end. I hate Corey.

2. Halloween 1978 is masterpiece
3. Halloween Kills is great
4. Halloween Ends is great and fine

10. Halloween III Season of the Witch is boring and awful
11. Halloween 5 The Revenge of Michael Myers is boring
12. Halloween Resurrection is boring and awful
