Its very different when 2 hetero girls do it, girl & guy do it and when 2 guys do it. In my opinion, between guys (assuming that they are both straight)... very low possibility to have such close skinship. Straight males will still do simple hugs, maybe handshakes but to kiss and hold hands, hold waist etc that is very very rare. It's not a difference between western and asian countries. Asian guys won't do these kind of skinship with their guys friends (unless fan service or a dare/game).
