Almost 1k Gethin! You can do it! Speaking of watch addiction, I believe the journey is always more fun than the destination. I tend to find a new phase once in a while, some days it might be dress watches, another day field watches and so on. It seems like we appreciate the beauty of this hobby or lifestyle of ours and I think as long as you are not going into debt collecting watches. That’s fine! But I genuinely believe it all boils down to contentment and the mindset that eventually, like all things, hedonic adaptation will kick in. This helped me narrow down my collection, because while I was growing the collection I did not have any limits for myself and that any watch I see, I want to get. This eventually lead to a certain dark phase wherein when I look at my watches, I just had too much. Of course you will always have “That” watch that you really want but at the end of the day, you know your boundaries. Proud of your collection man! Keep on collecting, but slowly and surely. 👍
I'm with you man! The struggle is real. I've bought and sold so many watches over the years, I can't even dare to think about how much I could have saved. Plus straps and bracelets of course. I hear you Guy. Ultimately it comes down to the human condition of always wanting to experience new things. Nothing wrong with that. I've always been a watch guy. But I never considered myself an enthusiast/collector. The difference is I know when and why it happened to me. I bought an Invicta on a cruise ship. Shortly after I realized Invicta kind of sucks and so I shopped for a replacement. I cannot handle wearing a sucky brand watch. I ended up with a Hamilton Navy Scuba as a result. Anyway, that opened the door to Seikos and all sorts of other divers. Yeah, I'm freaky sick bros.

It's a truly rih-tar-ded hobby. It requires no skill or intelligence. If you can stand still and look at your wrist you're a natural. It was supposed to be a one watch collection, this amazing bullet proof G-Shock that would last forever; and I'd never need another one. Of course UA-cam is an enabler like no other. What are you going to do? Besides, Never give up! I want a Sinn U2 now, I blame Mr. Jun for that because it's easy and I can. Sick, we're all sick.
I was thinking I need a U2 as well. I'm not sure I can go on in life without a 12000mtr diver. I mean, I have other divers ranging from 200 mtr to 1500mtr but they're pretty crap if I'm honest Dr Bob. They're not that waterproof. I don't swim but if I did. Just forget it. Forget it. Oh just shut up.
Find other little hobbies too get into. Like for example a small garden. You can stop wearing a watch and lock them away for a while to get in a new mindset. Selling a watch can be fun. Someone will cherish it and you can sorta share thier enjoyment. Its all good man. You seem like a pretty solid guy who can get it under control if you feel you need too. Sell one and buy bitcoins. But love your channel, show us what else you got going on.

@@gethinchristian would this also be the case if I said the sub 300 vs the seastar 2000 or is it just because I said the sub 200. Bare in mind the sub 300 is almost 700€ more in my country opposed to the seastar.
@@rocket_v A better comparison would be the sub 600t It has the same specs and the price is pretty much the same. The sub 300 is just under 2k in the UK. Sub 600t is £1340 Seastar is £1015. It's personal taste that should decide. I personally am not a Tissot fan but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be!
@@gethinchristian fair enough. Thank you man! Have a good day
Set a limit of 3. One in one out. It’s a challenge!
Easier said than done! Thanks Aeron.
I wore the same SKX from 1998 until 2014 until the watch pandemic hit me. I've bought and sold many since then and am currently at 18. I f**cking need help. 🤔
Great comment David! What made you go from a one watch guy for so long to an 18 Twerp maniac?
@@gethinchristianMy SKX was starting to lose time and stop occasionally. I really didn't know much about watches and started researching getting it fixed. That led to discovering watch forums, which caused me to fall down the rabbit hole.😊
@@gethinchristian I know right? Silly SLA021. 300m, what's that for babies? The UX looks pretty sweet too, for a quartz twirp.
It's all under control Super. You think I should make non watch related content? Do you think people would want to watch that?
@@gethinchristian I don't know non watch related would attract new viewers, more for existing subscribers. we all live around the world and it's interesting to see where others live and their experiences.
@@Super-ew1ty Interesting point. Thank you Super33.
F&$k phones. I don't wanna look at that thing or take it out of my pocket! Keep your car running and your children fed. Otherwise time is a respectable fascination of human minds. May as well be measured with class and style.
What can I say? You are not wrong Tyler.
