  • This video shows a cheap and good chinese Stirling Engine that is available on Ebay for only 46€.
    Transcript:
    This is a Stirling Engine from China that was sold on Ebay for only 46 €.
    It's maybe one of the best engines you can get for this money at the moment.
    It can be started a few seconds after lighting the spirit burner, which is exceptional.
    It runs very fast and with little vibrations.
    The sheet metal parts seem to be cut with a laser or water jet.
    They are not perfectly deburred but that's okay for this price.
    The displacer cylinder and working cylinder are conneted with a silicone tube.
    Everything else is made from metal.

    The reservoir for methylated spirits is inside the baseplate.
    Burner now extinguished.

    if you had a wetstone that was cut into that wheel size then you could have a really fast knife sharpener

      nothing practical, a fan, a couple of LEDs, maaaybe recharge batteries.

    Ich hab mir vor zwei oder drei Jahren über alibaba welche kommen lassen. Beide haben thermische Probleme und bleiben nach wenigen Minuten stehen. Sehen zwar echt putzig aus, aber ich würde keine Kaufempfehlung aussprechen.

      Ja, das ist ein Problem. Aber wenn man die Flamme ganz klein hält und mit MoS2 schmiert, halbwegs in den Griff zu kriegen.
