Thanks for such an amazing day, guys. It was a real honour to sit and chat and build TKs right next to Simon’s original.
This seriously made my year!! 🙏☺️

I have been researching the best builders of Armor and aside from the fact that RS' work looks amazing, after watching this video, there's no other choice for me. Hearing you guys speak passionately about the details that matter and how lovely you all seem makes my decision to order from RS a no brainer. Your care for the work and more so, other human beings, speaks volumes to the character of this company. Keep it up. You all are amazing.

This was absolutely golden! I’ve enjoyed Dan’s stuff over the last couple of years and Rob’s bit never disappoints. I almost feel like I was there with friends. So happy you both agreed to do this and take another look at the core of the stormtrooper, the fantastic helmet. God bless you, Dan! Here’s wishing you a continued successful recovery!

That helmet has the same bump as mine in the same place as well. 🙂 Love it

The "defects" and bumps are important for me too, because they are part of the original screenused props. They are movie history now.

I find this way of thinking bit weird. Those imperfections were not meant to be there, it is just they knew it wont be visible on screen and it was cheaper to make it this way instead making a perfect looking helmets. If you wanna make replicas of hastily made props - go for it. But of course, the "real" imperial soldier helmet won't be made to look this way. And I want a good looking helmet, not the one that look like cheap prop made just for movie shots.

Would love to see the RS green helmets available as kits one day.
I've replicated the look of chipped paint showing green on ABS but it's not the same ha

Just bumped into this accidentally, and it was great to see two people talking passionately about such details, while most people would probably think wth are they on about? That's what it's like to be immersed in the process.

Great to watch these two lads shooting the breeze about these iconic buckets!
I'll have to admit I was originally into a symmetrical and pristine styled stormtrooper, but have now come to appreciate the more used universe finish. Definitely looking to grab an RS kit or commission into the near future. Keep up the great work guys!

I've always enjoyed the unpainted look of these. Is there any chance you guys would offer an assembled, unpainted version again?

Can you buy allready made trooper suits? that are built like the original or is it implied that every 1 just orders a kit and builds it?

Hey, matey. It’s because all the paint stays together but paint does not adhere to the plastic.

I wonder how consistent the texture is from original helmet to helmet. Is the texture from the mold or a characteristic of the plastic that varies on each helmet?
I like replicas made like the originals and more idealized versions. I look at the more idealized as another artists version of the in universe item. So often the original props aren't meant to be inspected up close. There is a difference between intentional weathering and defects that they chose to let go because they don't think anyone will notice or they don't have time/budget to fix.

if Ainsworth did produce 50 stunt helmets and this helmet has signs of the model deteriorating, then where about in that run did you believe this one to have been made? I assume this was not one of the group that went to Tunisa?
