Love Bob Bailey as Johnny Dollar. He’s the best. So believable with that voice. Thank you for you efforts to bring these to us. I am an invalid who can’t hold books like I used to and tv is the pits. Keep up the good work.
Hi Emily, the term " The pits" really tickled me. I reacon you're my age. What is your favorite J D. Show. ,? I love any thing with McNear in it. He was the guy who played the barber in Andy Griffith.
@@patriciapiper6294 my favorite is The Clinton Affair, it is a multiple episode story. So nice of you to contact me. I’ve come a long way since I posted that. Still love Bob Bailey. Went to a membership in the Late Late Horror Show which plays mostly detective shows. He has all the Johnny Dollar episodes I believe. I grew up watching Andy Griffith and loved the barber too. Feel free to friend me if you like to chat. I’m the Emily that has 25 years at a nursing service. Again so nice to hear from you.👋
I love all Johnny Dollar episodes with Bob Baily. These are fantastic. Thanks so much for posting! Don't know how anyone can thumbs down Johnny Dollar!
I just had to listen to this one again. I’m fearful of the day I will have gone thru them all. I almost say ”watch them” again because they paint a picture in my mind like I have actually viewed them.
Emily, you could try another Johnny Dollar playlist. Bob Bailey is the best Johnny Dollar, but the format of these shows is unique when you company it to other "detective" shows, which is one reason YTJD is so popular
I much prefer listening to the half hour series than the 15 minute ones with all the breaks. Still love them all especially with Bob Bailey. Thanks for posting these!
Lindsay, I have removed all the breaks, all the incidental music at the end of each episode except for the last episode, where I allow the credits to be spoken. You should try one, it ends one episode after the preview for tomorrow and goes right into the next episode
@@michaeldegen3850 Hi Michael, breaks or no breaks, music or no, Bob Bailey was the best! I listen to him on SiriusXM Old Time Radio and you on youtube! thanks!
It very well could be. These Johnny Dollars were probably saved on Reel-to-Reel tape in the 50s and 60s, tapes that were used many times before finally saving Johnny Dollar for posterity. Just be glad someone saved them for us to listen to 67 years later
In the 50s and the 60s almost all of these radio shows were saved onto reel-to-reel tape, some of these tapes were used dozen & dozen of times before Johnny Dollar was save on to the tape. I have quite a few episodes like this one. Can't do much about this.

Bob Baily has the greatest episodes! Love Johnny Dollar.
Johnny never has flight delays. Anyone who travels for work understands how lucky Dollar is in that regard.

FYI, the supporting cast mentioned at the end are Virginia Gregg, Harry Bartell, John Stephenson, Will Wright, James McCallion and Ben Wright.
Intense one.
I have never heard of Desalles, Desales University and La Salle in Philadelphia.
Does this have another johnny dollar playìng in the background as well?

@@michaeldegen3850 *yes, I noted this in a separate post.. the tape imprinted through to this one or didn't erase properly*
@michaeldegen3850 thankyou for explaining, fascinating to know the process :-)
*if you put on a good pair of headphones, you can hear a second track playing, most notable about **14:00** - **15:00*
