Happy New Year. Can you please do a video slowly showing the trunk size from bottom to the top & telling us the size for the pot when planted into the ground and date of planting. Thanks
@growyourownavocados I have been toying with the idea of a grow box with grow lights. Just to see if the lights and the warmth would increase growth on a grafted seedling.
Nice! I imagine it would probably speed things up but wouldn't know for sure. My potted trees grew more in the winter than my in ground trees because the ground was cold the potted ones were warmer.
Nice healthy looking trees, one thing i noticed is how close some of your trees are, how much space are you giving between each tree? And are you concerned later down the road as the trees gets bigger?
We are planting high density. We're going to try and keep all the trees on the shorter side. We'll keep pruning them. If the size does become out of control, we can cut them down. Then we'll take sions and graft onto other trees. The Bacon has a Sharwil sion on it that seems to be doing well. I'll keep adding sions to it as it's one of my fastest growing trees.
I'm not sure if you've seen other video where people plant two trees in one mound. That is certainly a lot closer than what I have them growing. Time will tell, for now we are happy with the way they are growing.

@@1970SBenny Thanks I will definitely stay tuned!!
Wow Ben! That Gem went into the ground just over a year ago? Up here in the cold North we would have to wait years for a tree to get that big.
