I just want to give a testimony and thank God here on this platform. My husband is getting a 3rd raise In a year and a half at his new job. His previous job didn’t give him a raise for 10 years. He looked and looked for a job and nothing was available until he heard about this job. That’s another testimony in itself. We don’t live high on the hog at all. We live in a small 2 bedroom townhouse and would like to buy a house in the country with 5 acres. Right now that’s not possible. I’m paying down debt and trying to stock up as best as i can. Just wanted to thank God for getting my husband this job.
This is awesome news. Blessings abound. When you stay focused, stay diligent the increase in blessings never ceases to amaze me. Our Father he is so awesome all the time. Keep going don’t forget to stop and enjoy it too.

My sister is passing away. Today we had to make a do not resuscitate decision if her heart stops. She's on life support right now. Please pray for our family. My sisters name is Robin, She's 53 and she did ask the Lord to forgive her sins. She's sedated and comfortable.

I think people forget how many families lost their homes their farms etc during the great depression… this is why families that were born or living thru that time learned to one not trust the banks but also they for the most part didn’t buy in credit. My grandparents now I’m 53 my grandfather when he died was 93 and he and my grandma would never buy anything on credit! They went without until they had enough money. They raised 7 children in a small peanut farm in south Alabama… grandma and grandpa didn’t even have an indoor bathroom until the late 1970… I remember my momma and daddy building it for them… I was taught to sew on her tredle sewing machine. Still have it today… when I was raising my five on my own I pulled from what granny taught me! Praise god! She taught me to make clothes out of sheets. To remake items for what we needed… people honestly have no idea what is coming!! And honestly I am not sure most will be able to handle it!

@@MargaretFinnell That was the first Little Golden Book, I read to my grandsons. They were able to memorize it and eventually read it. Great way to get a life lesson taught and a reading lesson slipped in. My husband calls me the Little Red Hen sometimes....I will do it myself!

I had 4 biological boys and my ex wanted a daughter so we adopted from Romania a girl in 2001 18 months old. Two years later my wife left and left me with all. September 2022 my eldest Derek shot himself In October 19 his youngest brother Austin overdosed on meth after three month rehab. I’m holding on for life to the other three. 😅Hi, I did something today Ive never have done, went to the Vegg stand up the road to buy a Cantaloupe , didn't have any last year from local farmers so I was determined to get one this year Got there and I could see them in a big bin, nice big ones! Went up to pick one out and darn the sign said 5.89 ea.!!! Nope, Im not going to pay that and looked and watermelons were 10.00!! Then God pointed to a old cardboard box with a sign , Over ripe fruit 1.00 ea!!!! I looked in it and darn, there was my Cantaloupe, rough on the outside but I bought that Cantaloupe for 1.00 took it home , cut her open and she was so pretty, ripe and sweet! Never judge anything from what's on the outside, it's what's inside that counts! Amen

We’ve confronted our sheriff about his stance on what is coming. He’s a down to earth man and he said that it will be a cold day in hell before he submits to betraying the people who put him in office. We shall see. We are strerching every meal..less ingredients, one night just soup and bread, another a very simple noodle dish, meàt meals get spun out as far as possible for sure,and last night we had left over staling bread made into french toast, used just 3 eggs for family of 5 with 3 adults..we arent going hungry,but are very very aware of the crazy food prices..cant wait for the garden to be producing!

Last year I paid off my house, my student loan debt, and paid cash for a reliable vehicle. I have one loan that I am paying off quicker than necessary. My husband and I rely on social security for our bills and our garden and our chickens. We thankfully are able to go to the grocery and buy what we need and still have been able to store in our pantry. It is by the grace of God that we are able to do these things and I firmly believe he will see us through what is yet to come.
My husband is a wonderful Christian man, always doing things for others. I’m responsible for paying bills. I pay all credit cards off each month, however I have a terrible time with him buying from Amazon. It’s been a constant battle, and I’m giving up talking to him about it. I’m very frugal, he’s a spender. I think I just needed to vent.

They gutted the middleclass decades ago when both parents had to go to work... but gave them as many credit cards as they wanted... which made them feel like they were still middle class. Increase the interest rates, and you see these families were built on nothing.
A lady came to my home the other day. Her house payment raised $100-$200/month. On her fixed income she can't make it. Works 60 hours per week and on brink of foreclosure. What stress 😩

Patara, you were right about Washington. I'm right outside the capital by 45 minutes in a small farm community. Our local school levy just failed because the homeowners cant afford to pay the increase. So the following week, last Monday, 130 teachers walked in to school at 7am and got their pink slips. Our small high school kids were up in arms! They had a walkout and protest at the park. They don't want to lose their favorite teachers but no one can afford another tax increase. Now, I took my kids out of public school when Covid hit and they never went back. So this doesn't affect my family but it's a hard situation all around. Schools are getting shut down because there is no money to run them, to pay teachers or for bus transport. Truth.
Hang in there everyone. To quote from Micah 6:8, "do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God". Follow the Lord! Put everything before Him. He will never fail you. 🤗♥️🙏
It is very concerning for my husband and I because we both are retired from the Federal Government. Then when you add in Social Security and Medicare come from the government also. YIKES! We could end up with nothing coming in. My husband has a heart condition which would not allow him to get a job. I work part time with our local water department mostly for my sanity. We have tried to make investments but it is scary. We are not very wise in what to invest in. We can only do what we can do and pray we can get through this difficult time.
Please 0ray for the south African homeschooling. A bill passed that forces them to follow the same government curriculum. Or to even make it illegal to homeschool. It's called the Bela bill.

I do know that this is deliberate. Nothing happening is by chance or incompetence. I do try to keep up with what is going on, as I’m certain we will see major civil unrest before the election. Some have said it will be between illegals and citizens. No one knows except for those that are stoking the flames of unrest. I am prepping as hard as I can with limited space and a fixed income. I’ve been looking for a job for the last year since being laid off. No one wants to hire a woman in her mid sixties who physically can’t work a job that requires standing/walking. I feel useless. It really can make you question your worth. Please continue to pray hard. Prep, and repeat. We can never pray too much, much like we can’t prep too much.
I'm reminded of the first time I visited my Grandmother after my Granddad had passed. She was busy as she always had been but the feel of the house was very much in grief. That feeling was emphasized when no one sat in my Granddad's chair at supper. Permanent change had.come. Permanent, irrevocable change. That's what I feel these days. What we all have grown up is ending, not by the grace of God as my Grandfather did, but with cruel, calculated intention. It has been said that the opposite of love is not hate but indifference. Perhaps, Patera, that is the most precise definition of evil that I've ever come across. Stay safe.

Hi, i really love your videos. I inherited a home because my step dad died a few years ago, but even though i did it is still very hard for me as i only get so much in my checks. Gas is what is killing My budget. My situation Is ok yes and no. Even though i own my home, just became a home owner, but i struggle on a daily basis as a single 36 year old. I can only afford so much food, had to cut off alot but I’m hanging in there, i payed off my banks i owed and im debt free, but any other luxuries i simply just don’t have time for. I really hope things get better.
I don’t have a credit card and even though i could easily go get one, i refuse the temptation even though i see my friends going out and buying new cars and maxing out their cards, i chose to lay low and stay focused, while everyone is building up their debt i try hard every day to be one step closer to be ready and prepared.

You keep encouraging me to do more prepping - so I bought a freezer to stock up on meat and veggies and fruits. A friend is going to loan me her dehydrator so I can try it out and see if I want to buy one. I have started walking daily. I started out with 20 minutes out and 20 minutes back, increasing it by 5 minutes each way daily, until I can walk for a few hours at a time. I don't know how to can or bake bread in these very high elevations - nothing seems to cook properly - beans stay hard and bread goes flat - but I will keep trying. I am 74 years old, and I keep on prepping in as many ways as possible. I start every day with Bible reading and prayer, and memorizing scriptures. And you're right - our best and only true hope is Jesus.

It's on the tough spots that we build anew. God told Adam and Eve they would have to work the tough ground outside of Eden. Nothing absolutely nothing is easy . We have to work for it to achieve it. I live near Houston. Last night we had a severe storm.
Earlier in the week there was one in Oklahoma.
Tonight, there is another storm coming.
It puts things into perspective.
During the storm. After the storm. The last thing on your mind is world war. Politics. Inflation. Debt. Or even a job.
We each need to sit down and ponder what is most important. And work towards what God not the world wants from us. Perspective of what is valued an important.

Property taxes here in PA are astronomical!! We have 1/4 acre and our taxes are $8300 a yr!! 😡😡😡. We’re getting our new bill next month. I heard we’re going up another $800-$1000!!

I’ve tried that with the crescent rolls. We didn’t like how it was still slightly gooey underneath while the top was brown. The next time I made it I cooked the topping separately for about 3-5 minutes. Took it out and flipped it over onto the filling and let it keep on cooking. We really enjoyed it. It was more crispy on the bottom. Just an idea in case anyone else didn’t like the texture of the bottom of the crescent roll.
I browned the bottom crust just a tad before I poured
in my dish, and it was just right. The top browned just perfectly !

Thank you, Patara. Good advice, as always. God is on his throne. He placed us here at this time to glorify him with our lives in whatever life we were called to. We have had easy and comfortable lives compared to 99% of people that have ever lived on this earth. His Word calls us to Christ, and gives us all we need to live our lives as believers. Let us live for him. Be a regular worshipper at your local church. Be a godly man or woman. Love God and your neighbor. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it for God, be it your marriage, your children, or your work. Read Proverbs and get wisdom- read the Word, get up early and work, don’t borrow or lend, put away for tomorrow, and help your neighbor and seek his good. Don’t be anxious, but I all things with prayer and THANKSGIVING, tell God your worries and needs. We can’t control the government, but we are good citizens and pay our taxes. And when you have done all you can do, rest in Christ for this life is but a vapor.

As summer comes on, some families with children will struggle, because they're not used to having the kids home and feeding them breakfast and lunch. I pray the hearts of the mamas and daddys will be turned toward their children, and they can put away the screens and find inexpensive ways to learn and grow together between work and chores.
I pray everyday for my 5 adult children 3 with disabilities and my first grandson coming.

In local news this week a wally world family member bought up 2,700 acres in what had previously been a nice retirement area. The plans reported for housing, nature trails, biking, and golf course. Later in the week wally world stated that they are bring home out of state CEO etc. In this area 15 min areas are being implemented and majority are totally unaware.Electronic company I work at has been hacked for over a week now. They have companies is 5 states and 3 overseas. Have no idea when it will be full time again. If this company can be hacked, what will the elections bring? Just a question.

We have a farm in Tennessee our land and house are paid off. We do have some credit debt but we pay more than the minimum. We are growing food and collaborate with our neighbors. We have joined up and opened all 3 pastures for all the livestock and growing food for all 3 farms. We have created our own little Community! Between all 3 pastures there is 40 acres.
Also i've noticed that when I've asked for prayer I get a better respounce if I ask within the first half hour of Patera posting! Just a heads up!
Growing up with a Mom and Dad that went through The Great Depression, my Mom was a HUGE advocate of stretching food to make ends meet.
They are both gone now but I remember all those things that Momma taught me...from what to ALWAYS keep in your pantry to stretching those meals and boy are those lessons coming in handy with this day and age.
I'm so concerned for my grandsons and this nation that I love so deeply! Praying and prepping daily.🙏🏼
We live in Illinois and our new tax bill just came...$4760 for 2023. This is sure helping our prayer life become much stronger.

My sister now lives with my brothers family because she got hurt at work and was unable to work the job. She has another job but doesn't make enough to get her own place and now her daughter is sick with stage 3 kidney failure and even the Doctors at Duke have no idea what's happening to her, she's 23 and was a CNA now she's too sick to work that job and she and her fiance are having to move in with some friends. People are struggling and people are sick. My niece didn't take the jab but I suspect being around all those patients that did and her fiance that did is responsible for her body attacking itself, from exposure to the spike protein.
My pot pie cheat is mixed vegetables( can or frozen), cream of chicken and a jar of canned roast chicken, diced onion and peppers. Cooked in 5 quart dutch oven. Preheat oven @400. Float a can of biscuits over the bubbling hot filling and bake 10 minutes. Biscuits cook through completely, golden brown. Delicious

Use a small can (5 ct) of the FLAKY, not homestyle biscuits and separate them in half to keep from being gooey. Even canned biscuits are high!
I had to take a mental day Friday. I have felt so exhausted and trying to get some stuff taking care of. That I ended up spending most of the day in bed and sleeping off and on. But, I have been up and going this morning. So apparently I needed it.

Learning how to make a food forest in my very small yard. I raised 3 boys on my own. That poverty was a good education for living in these days. My advice, learn how to do all the things yourself. Food, herbal medicine, sewing etc. ALL THE THINGS
I can see what's happening, and it makes me almost panic. Because I know I need to get my garden in, but can't because I can't get my garden turned up. I live in a low area and with all the rain it can't dry out enough to work it.
Last year my property taxes went up 4 times , over 5,000 dollar's more every year. I now pay over 16 thousand dollars a year for one bathroom, three bedrooms on a 32 foot by 105 foot property. It"s insane.
