Hope that Cambodian people would fully recovered from this short but tragic period. The trial of the Khmer Rouge's genocidal regime would bring reliefs to the victims/their familes and forever closure of that dark chapter in Cambodian History. My sincere wish to the Cambodian people is that they would be once again successful in building up a prosperous, harmonious and peaceful Cambodia as they have done in their ancient history
Fun fact: when pol pot had been pushed back by the communist vietnam and soviet union the US still claimed khmer rouge was the actual cambodian government. Also in 80s he said he wished cambodia to belong to west and it was over for communism. PolPot was DEFINATELY NOT communist

Why did they take all those photos ..just before death.....it is so eerie seeing their faces..some so young...i read Khmer rougers documented tortured victims extensively before killing..why did they take all those confessions ..while reading i get so many questions..i get so curious to understand their mind..i almost feel guilty like a voyeur when I get so interested in Khmer rouge history...it is also very depressing to read...can someone answer my questions please..
