Looking back on this race brought back some fond memories. As a Jimmie fan, this was one of his last truly competitive races and yes, it was bittersweet he didn't get the win. I really hope Chicagoland can come back, I believe this track can truly thrive with the next-gen especially with how good the 1.5 mile races have been.
Jim Cornelison is the best anthem singer in the country, hands down. I absolutely love it, thank you for having him do the anthem. From a diehard Blackhawks fan and diehard NASCAR fan.
I was there. You would not believe how many people left after it started raining. I don't understand how you buy race tickets but don't have the patience on a Sunday to wait out the rain like a true fan. I'd say at least 1/3 of the cars tailgating around us left. Stands looked half as full when the race restarted. It's ok. I took advantage of your more expensive seat that you left behind, so thanks hahaha.
Feels like this was 30 years ago now lol. I was there. Nobody knew at the time this be the tracks last race and the covid pandemic less than a year later
NASCAR plz bring back Chicagoland! It has some good battles there! & it also looks like a Superspeedway cuz cars r close! Plz bring back Chicagoland Speedway It looks like a superspeedway!
Alright nascar what’s up I’m a truck driver and nascar fan and I don’t get to watch on Sunday so the upload is something I look forward to why did this take a week to load?
Jim pointed to the flag when he said while our flag is still there. I won,t lie because the flag is in the grass and OH your singing of the National Althemy Jim was AMAZING. ALSO GREAT TO SEE BOWMAN WIN A RACE
I have to say I like the stage racing, keeps the top 20 teams tight and the ability to improve their car and know what they need to get better, and this new package has made for some great racing all year, and its getting better as we go along, plus it allows drivers to recover better than years past, best year in awhile imo✌
Likely the last Cup race at Chicagoland Speedway (at least for now). This race was a great way for the track to go out, especially having a first-time winner.
@@shwalkingmeme485 Both sets of reporters have their strengths and weaknesses. FOX people are more personable and goofy (see: Michael Waltrip), and there are fewer of them. NBC'S people have more chops, but they have to talk over each other sometimes. They don't sparkle as much as FOX'S people do, but they make up for a bit less personality with their racing knowledge.
@@shwalkingmeme485Oh, the changeover is due to what networks have contracts for which parts of the season. Be glad it's only two networks. The previous contract split the season unevenly between three networks.
@ Yeah. North Wilkesboro is so unlikely because of so much disrepair it's in. Rockingham is doubtful.

Puerto Rican Mapper_4 I do think NASCAR has to go back to the South though. Southern fans are your best fans. The best attended races are in the True Deep South usually. Atlanta, Daytona, Talladega, Martinsville, Bristol, Darlington, Charlotte, and even Kentucky. Michigan and New Hampshire seem to be well attended races as well in the North. Go to another road course to expand your horizons in new markets maybe. Run the Indy road course instead of the Brickyard, that would draw more fans than the 400, for sure. Penske taking over Indy will be awesome for NASCAR.
@ Why dont they go back to Montreal? It was perfect for the nationwide series and I'm sure that the current cup cars would work good too. 2008 produced a great finish as well

Every track but Indy and Pocono that is. Worst tracks for NASCAR racing probably.
@ Pocono is just too long and not big enough for tight racing, the tight corners and long straights means big pullaways, BUT 2020 IS THE ONE YEAR OF THE DOUBLE HEADER SO dont complain Cant wait for the new tracks soon.
Man I wish this track would come back. I think the racing would be incredible with this new car.
THANK YOU to whoever allowed the timing and scoring to appear on these again!
I hate watching races with no scoreboard
Yea
Same here

Great race. Great result. Great coverage. Glad to see the ticker tape back!
Don’t tear this track down NASCAR. It’s produced great racing in the past and still has a lot of potential.

Why was I able to start watching the video then for a week it said the video wasn’t uploaded? Or available?
What channel is Nascar on this weekend???
Why did they call a caution for harvick, that was also bs?
So they could send out one of the AMR trucks to do a lap checking for debris.
Matt DiBenedetto is coming.

It’s not the fans fault

Aerodynamics ruined NASCAR! Build more short tracks, regrind Bristol so they can fight for the bottom again. Go back to your roots.
