I would put exc throttle controller as number 1 since adding it I keep it in ultimate 9 mode all the time instant power and just $350 I also just fitted the pacemaker 3 inch cat back exhaust awesome!! Very nice looking rig mate!!
I've done the Rhino Bar, 35 inch Nittos, new wheels and 2 inch lift. .....looks great but if I'm honest , the drive is quite compromised. Town driving at 60-70kph sits at a weird spot between the gears. Have you found this?
I don’t have a y62, but the evc when I got it was shit house. But I got a throttle grenade and it is so much better, it has more settings and didn’t explode after 2 weeks. But then it was shit customer service aswell, bc they said it was out of warranty, but it was 2 weeks old. So no money back just a shitty broken throttle controller.
G'day mate, will an upright fridge fit in the space available with the 3rd row seats up? Also my top 5 (1st 5) mods - pre rego - GVM upgrade and long range tank. wheels/tyres, bullbar/winch, snorkle, seat covers/floor mats. Yes technically that's more then 5 but for me that's what i needed done as a minimum to do what I want and go where I want. lights and UHF are close behind.
Well done. Question. I`ve watched quite few reviews on Y62`s but havent comen across one yet who talks about changing big fat tyre in the bush. Have you don one? There are no hi-lift jack point anywhere. Exhaust jack the only option my guess but carrying hi-lift is handy for other usesas well. Dont have an y62 ...yet but considering. Cheers in advance
What about up-dating to apple play etc , i love this car but its a dinosaur in the entertainment screen and features , how can we mod this to bring it into recent times, and and what expense
I went through this with Dash off-road.. DO NOT do exhaust without extractors you're wasting your money.. sound changes not performance... it's like a playing card in ya spokes as a kid sounds good does Jack shit...
You do get gains from cat backs depending on how the stock exhaust is made. While you do want some back pressure, the stock system on the Y62 is overly restrictive as it has hard bends and valves in the mufflers. If you look at the stock exhaust and see how both banks merge you can clearly see the massive bottle neck in the system. If it was a 2.5inch all the way through it wouldn't be an issue, but their is a few spots the exhaust closes down to 2inch which is nuts for a 5.6 V8 The Manta and Torqit systems are very well made (304 ss) and they have shown to increase power by 6kw and around 30nm. Also it will bring down the fuel consumption a tad as well.
1. GVM upgrade which includes lift, wheels and tyres. 2. Front Bar & Winch 3. Rock sliders 4. Kaymar rear bar 5. Roof top accessories.
''its a v8 make it sound like one'' EXACTLY !, best performance mod bar none bang for buck is re-map or chip !
Mate always very transparent and full of information keep up the great work
Thanks mate!

Nah not 60-70 I would say 50-60 it sits in 4th until you go over 60.

35’s - supercharger - 5” snorkel - cat back exhaust - chrome delete! Then front bar, bash plates, false floor, digital dash.
Not cheap, nor practical but let’s be honest, you’ve already got a y62 so you’re not really short a dollar. But I like the way ya think
I’ve ordered a y62. I’m hoping to get exhaust possibly headers, stainless snorkel, bull bar, new wheels and rubber. Also seat covers and mats
Awesome mate you will love the rig!

Do you know how heavy the beast is fully loaded ready for a trip?
Heavy mate 👀 looking into a bit of an upgrade on that side
Great “Top 5”. Thanks for the detailed walk through. Would you know if the y62 has a higher stock ride height vs the North American Armada?
275mm I believe is the clearance from factory mate
Very informative. But you didnt mention a GVM upgrade, wasnt one required for all the add on weight?
Was very close to needing one mate
@@4x4CampingandAdventures so all the current upgrades was with no GVM upgrade at all?
@Ronaldosdds that’s right mate I don’t have the car anymore but it was around 3300kg
What about up-dating to apple play etc , i love this car but its a dinosaur in the entertainment screen and features , how can we mod this to bring it into recent times, and and what expense
A big expense to being the tech up to date unfortunately
Cooking in the back with the solar screen: how does that hold up with smoke / oil / grease etc?
No issues mate so far haven’t notice and discolouring
How’s the road noise on the maxxis razer AT tyres ?
Pretty good mate they are not noisy at all
Does the bigger tyre fit in the spare wheel compartment?
Sure does mate just make sure it has

What size rims do you need with 35" tyres?
Lke, professional . all the best,

Is your rear drawer setup custom built or anyone in perth do this kit?
Black label storage in Rockingham made it mate

Did you get your car engineered when you removed the third row of seats ?
Nah mate

I’m still trying to convince myself to spend ~100k on a car that has 15yr old tech and need to drop another 20k for mods :/
Just drive one
After driving one I caved in and ordered a black TI-L last week. Arriving mid dec 🎉
