I love this music! Even after all these years since the game release. It's a beautiful soundtrack! Rogue never got the respect it deserved. I really like Shay's story and I would love to see another game that uses the Templar storyline for the main character!

Except the shanties and world music stuff because I couldn't care less for those. But the score for all the games in the playlist before this are better than this is. So far. Even Liberation.
Main theme of this game is the best because it reminds me of all previous ones. We are blessed we could be a part of this big adventure. Modern ACs are just another RPGs with some stealth. Back then it was like stepping through a portal to another dimension
@@k1w1_yes Nah. It still had those kind of locations even back in AC I. It still could be an amazing stealth game set in ancient Rome or Egypt. But they decided money are better than customers so they turned the series into medicore RPG.

@@k1w1_yes Yeah, True. Combat was never good in this series, but i woukd never call what we got in last 3 games better. It is more like button masher now. And stealth... Yeah it works. But why use it when you won't be able to kill enemy with it, just scratch his back slightly. AI was bad but at least you had satisfaction from making a perfect clean of enemy group without being spotted. They should change the format a little because it definitely was too repetetive, but instead of going for skyrim-like rpg style they could take a look at Styx. This game had even more simple fighting, but it was almost impossible to win against more than 2 foes. AI was also way better there (still had some errors but I saw no stealth game with perfect AI) and going for perfect stealth i Shards of Darkness was satisfaying as hell.
@@krzysztofkozakiewicz3920 ngl, all fair points. the stealth is not the best and inconsistent at a few times. the fact that sometimes you would hold down the critical assassination button and it would do anything was pissing me off sometimes.
I love how the soundtrack has two modes, dramatic and tense or other worldly and mysterious. Which reflects the game perfectly, the story is dramatic and serious, while the overworld feels other worldly and mysterious. Love it.
love this game simply because even though shay "betrayed" the assassins, he stayed true to the creed and he killed every assassin who did not follow the 3 tenets of the creed. I suppose the only person who he needlessly killed was Adewale, although I don't think Adewale should've been friends with Achilles to begin with as he promoted the extremist behaviour that the colonial American assassins had
I got the feeling it all was a big misunderstanding between Shay and the Order. I sympathyze with Shay often, but I can't help but blame him for overreacting after he witnesses what he witnesses at Portugal. Flip side, the yellow guys in the game are very misguided, that's true and relatively new to the series. Looks like they took the idea from North American new societies. Assassins defend freedom, and America is a new land where you can start new societies, then experiment with them freely. Then too much freedom made the order wayward and predatory. However, I find the main assassin characters quite virtuous, like in the rest of games: Hope, Liam, Adéwale. Can't call them evil or selfish, unllike the yellow bandits you see everywhere in the game. It's a complicated twist Ubisoft didn't manage to execute in my opinion. Still, game's a gem.

Ahhh... My great Shay Cormac. Thanks to him we have a beautiful bridge in Lisbon that looks like the Golden Gate Bridge. The Templars of Tomar are thankful.🇵🇹
The main theme will always be epic and so many feels with Elitza's use of Ezio's theme woven with the base of AC 3 [ showing the connection with that game] and Brian Tyler's, The British Empire with a colonial march feel at the bridge. Ezio's theme lives on within the games as kind of a signature tune for the series, but will never be the same as the original version from AC 2 and this one.
este juego es simplemente hermoso el primer juego de esta saga que jugué y de todos los que e jugado ese es mi favorito aunque tan bien le rivalizan el AC 3 Y EL AC 4
The strange thing about Rogue is that, on an objective level it's not a very good game (poorly written characters, short story, long and repetitive side quests, etc.) but it had an aesthetic that was so beautiful that I've returned to so many times. A hard, Irish-New-Yorkian who built is way into the creed from nothing, only to see its lies, and lose everything in the hope of stop it. The soundtrack and scenery (reffering mostly to that of the North Atlantic) encapsulates Shay's deep sorrow and solitude in a way no other AC game could, because it explores the existential grayness and ambiguity of the good and evil in all human ambition and expansion. I love this game so much despite its flaws ❤🌊🗻🏔️❄️
if you haven't done Assassin's Creed rogue, I recommend you do it, an Assassin's Creed unfortunately too underrated but so good, in this Opus we play an Assassin who has become a Templar and it's very interesting to see what happens in the other camp, you knew that the Templars are not really the bad guys of the license, it's just a rival camp.

Quite strange. Why don't they use this game to test new engines, graphics and systems and then release Unity? If they had done that, maybe they wouldn't have been criticized so much when they released Unity, causing Rouge to be criticized later, after all Rouge was a short game, they should have used it for testing and then released Unity later.
