  • George Beurling, a Canadian fighter pilot, became one of World War II's top aces. Known as "Screwball" Beurling, he served primarily with the Royal Air Force in the defense of Malta. His exceptional skill and daring earned him the title "Falcon of Malta." Despite his nonconformist attitude, Beurling's precision and sharpshooting downed 31 enemy aircraft in just 14 days during 1942. His unorthodox tactics and fearless nature made him a legend. After the war, Beurling attempted various flying endeavors but tragically died in a plane crash in 1948. His legacy endures as one of Canada's greatest wartime heroes.
I recommend watching "Air Aces" on George Beurling for a more in-depth documentary
