- Hi everyone! Today I am sharing with you tips on how to pack everything in a carry-on. I'm taking a 2-month road trip to go see my parents and I wanted to pack as light as possible. I hope you find these Minimalist Packing Tips helpful!

What are some of your best travel tips? 😊
I've been on the road more or less for 15 years now, but I still can't give any travel tips. I always start packing the last hour before I have to leave, I always _almost_ miss the flight, and I never check things like currency conversion or make any plans in advance😂 But, I guess it works out somehow ;)
Travel tip: You don't have to pack shampoo or lotion as where you're staying usually have that stuff, but if not you can always buy it there. 😊 one less thing to pack or worry about spilling in your bag.
I would recommend somewhat preplanning your trip and packing according to that (and the weather).

I used to travel with a crazy amount of clothes and stuff in the past LOL. I made it so stressful for myself and I honestly don't know why! I always got to use maybe 50% of what was in my luggage. I also stopped shopping a lot on vacation and it made my luggage so much lighter. It's freeing and amazing to travel light.
I feel the same! I came home and saw that I didn't even touch 50% of my clothes 🙄 also stopped buying souvenirs! Thanks for watching ❤

I agree that there’s so much freedom in packing light to travel with ease. How we pack for travel can be such a personal and psychological experience, truly. I went on a east coast road trip for a week and I only took a 40L backpack and found out I had more then enough. I military pack everything and only took 2 pairs of shoes it was amazing how fast I went through the airport. 😊💕 amazing tips love.

I used to work for an airline & still travel decently often & a tip I wish I knew sooner was to place plastic wrap on top of my liquids & THEN screw the lid on. I haven't had any leakage in my toiletry bag since and I just reuse the wrap at the end of my trip, too!

I don't travel by plane that much so checking in backpacks is not a problem for me even if I do travel by a plane I keep it organized to make it as smooth as it can be but carry-on is really a game changer.

Loved the reaction of your family, they were genuinely surprised, hope that you will have a great time with them! I use the same shampoo and conditioner :) And I also have only a few things with me all the time when I travel, my motto is the lighter, the better! Even at home I only have stuff that fit in one big luggage, I left all my things at my mums, my summer house it's too tiny! And since I have less I've learned to adapt and discovered that I don't need thousands of clothes and personal items to lead a normal life. Great video as always my dear!💕

My plan is to save up and do a massive road trip around the US first (since I live here and I really haven’t explored the US) and then I want to travel to different countries, maybe to Mexico or Europe? For me when I also travel I bring a doorway pull up bar and some small gym equipment necessities like my cordless air jump rope some bands. Granted I have just walked a lot on vacations for exercises but sometimes I'll sneak in a small workout

@@MalamaLife yes. Some gym rat meat heads I've known and met either went to a gym or bought dbs those are great but when traveling bodybuilders should learn to use there bodyweight and some bands

Thank you for this! I tend to overpack and I’m really passionate about becoming a minimalist. This is an area In my life I can start with
I’m learning to pack lighter - each time I go away, I am making a note of what I took but didn’t use. For example, on my recent weekend away, I took an extra book, makeup bag, straighteners and waterproof coat that I didn’t use. I now know to consider a bit more for next time whether I really need to take these things!
I love using packing cubes! I recently went camping/hiking in AZ, loved it!

Minimalist packing... this is where I'm a Viking! Been in touring bands for almost 30 years. Sometimes out for 3 months at a time. Everything I need in one backpack. (I'm always in black cliothing, so, no "outfits" to worry about, haha) One pair of footwear (ON feet) 2 sets of clothes for head to toe (wearing one set) a small sundry kit. Then assorted necessities holed away into various zipper pockets around pack. Not a huge pack either.
The wife gets SO frustrated with me when we go on trips together... she'll pack for war (3 big bags), and I'll have my back pack. (oh, and always a guitar too) hahaha... have a great day! =)

Hi Sophie and HAPPY TRAVELS. The South West is Beautiful..and I think I have visit almost all the National Parks on the way
I use to agonized when it came time to PACK..sometimes my husband use to finished my packing because it was OVERWHELMING!!
BUT now!! I can proudly said Iam a much BETTER packer!! and I definitely and WITHOUT A DOUBT I ENJOY 😊😉😄😎my trips so much more!! Thank you so much for this video...I will incorporate the CUBES.I already use some,but I can see I can DO the whole packing with them.
ENJOY your family! I actually live in a neighborhood call Summerlin right next to RED ROCK National Park if you have enough time in Las Vegas, You should visit. Also just outside Las Vegas is Valley of the Fire,and Lake Mead..I prefer to visit all of these places any other season BUT the summer,but people in general seem to do OK with the HEAT.
Iam ALLERGIC TO CASINOS so I have nothing to do!! with the strip.

I have to admit that packing light has always been a challenge for me and it got harder once I got into UA-cam.. now the gear is yet another thing that takes up time and I need to think about :D and gear is sooo bulky!

The problem with jewelry is that in a lot of airports you have to quit on all of them in the controls. You had to quit earrings, rings, etc, and put all on a try in the control.

100% agree!! We traveled through Italy, Greece, England with carry on for each person. And we looked good. Another critical moment is have light fabrics that fold to "nothing". I noticed that a lot of your tops were very light in total fabric weight. I have several Tencel, light cotton, silk tops, skirts and scarves for cover up and extra pizzazz ( think evening) that fit my hand when folded. I think that is very important. Do not bring heavy linen, cotton staff if possible. Even for colder month think lightweight!! Great video!!!♥️💃♥️

Recently took a weeklong trip to Tasmania with just a carry-on. In terms of travel convenience it was great, but I will say that you do need to make sure there's access to clothes-washing materials, since it was getting pretty chancey towards the end of the seven days. Luckily the person I was travelling with always carries a small bag of laundry detergent with her xD A lesson I learned for sure, and I won't travel without that anymore either hahaha

I know you said no matter how long you are staying --- but could you do only the carryon if you had no home base and was only a nomad?

We pack very minimal but my husband and I usually just use one suitcase and check it in because I hate dealing with things on me while traveling. I carry a small purse only and my husband carries our backpack with our electronics.
My sister is the same way. She likes to check everything in which definitely has its benefit :)

Any ideas if you can take off Uk plugs as too heavy as is laptop chsrger? What do I do nxt time for winter as feel cold as asthmatic and last time had to leave a case behind so wasteful as freezing winter and couldnt take bulky jacket, puffa wasnt warm enough even with layers 1 luxury is curler straightener mini in one but cant find 1 online
