Ppl tend to think, based on the synopsis, that one punch man would be boring but the show really makes itself different by focusing a lot on comedy, side stories, side characters and their battles plus combined with the legendary animation where they got some of the best animators in the industry, the show is just really good imo
@@otakushutin Season 2 is still pretty good animation wise as with alot of anime nowadays. Just like with the 1st 3 seasons of AoT (Season 2 had an animator hired on to bring out the eyes, which we never got back in S3 since the animator for it didnt return), its rare to get an all-star animators team for a show beyond 1 season.

As you may have begun to notice, anime OPs and EDs have a sort of tradition in their styles. The OP is designed to hype you up, tune the viewer to the shows mood and get you excited to watch. The ED serves to calm the viewer down, bringing them to a cooler head that can appreciate what they just witnessed. It's a method that goes sadly unused in western media.
Yeah, it is very underutilized in western shows. I think part of why you might find an ED to be "out of place" in a show is that usually there is a transition at the end of episodes that builds up into the ED where it feels like a continuation of the emotions you are feeling as the episode ends, versus just listening to it on its own without having seen any episodes. Its also why a lot of shows have special ED's for certain episodes because usually the normal ED doesn't quite fit the emotional journey that viewer is experiencing for that episode and so they make a new unique one that fits better.
Pretty much this. I really enjoy it too because it helps slow down the possibility of the viewer getting burnt out. Rather than letting you continue to burn energy on hype, it tells you to conserve that energy and wait for the next episode.
You people are idiots. Literally no one gets "burnt out" or anything like that just because the ED's aren't soft. You people have a problem over nothing.

Season 1 of one punch is very much a lightning in a bottle scenario. The director, Shingo Natsume, managed to get together insane amount of talent for the season. Some of the best of the best freelance animators worked on it. The show's production value is beyond incredible, not to mention just how good the actual story is despite its premise. Sadly, with season 2, the anime was given to JC Staff. They made Danmachi, Food Wars, Executioner and her way of life etc. While they do make some really good looking shows, they can be hit and miss more often than not. I will say that OPM season 2 might be some of the stronger effort by the studio but it is nowhere close to the quality of the first season. Also, I highly highly recommend reading the manga. Originally, the series is a webcomic by he creator, One, and the artwork is little more like doodles. But then you have Murata redraw it for an official manga and it is easily one of the most insanely drawn series published right now. The dude's drawing is so good with action scenes, they basically animate themselves if you flip through them.
I think part of the drop in quality in S2 is because the animation work of S2 was suddenly dropped by Madhouse, so JC Staff went from losing a bid to spearheading the project on a tight schedule
The openings songs are from JAM Project, and the male vocalist from the group is the insanely famous Hironobu Kageyama known for the 2 DBZ openings. The guy sings EPIC.
yesssss I love the first One Punch Man OP so much... the show itself is good, though I do like Mob Psycho 100 a slight bit better. in case you're not aware, One Punch Man and Mob Psycho 100 are written by the same guy, and he's a really _really_ talented writer. his stories often take a concept that you could see being applied to a straightforward high energy action show, but then the story will blow it up to the point of parody, and the narrative spends half it's time on legitimately strong character work in the cast's private lives, while using the parodic nature of the rest of the show's content as equal parts spectacle and framing device for the series' core themes. I think Mob Psycho 100 has more places to go with it's message, especially given the nature of the main character's personality, and the way the framing device functions on an emotional level, but One Punch Man is still so absolutely solid for very similar reasons.👍 (also sneaking in another Dorohedoro OP/EDs recommendation, just to mention it again, for relevancy's sake)
One punch man is basically a parody of normal anime, where in a normal anime episode 1 starts at the beginning of the hero’s journey. But one punch man starts at the end, when the hero is already the strongest and has to live a boring life with no one left to challenge him.
The beginnings and endings actually fit a theme of the show, notice how they show Saitama in both in epic more life like animation and switch to the simple drawn basic animation, Its kind of like Saitama himself is extremely low key himself but his actions are massively epic in result, so the beginning is massive epic like the results of his actions but the endings are how Saitama is himself. Thats how I take it.

@@amirbehin5449 I was talking about just the ops Also he said only thing he remembers is a crab monster And I'm pretty sure he's only seen like a couple episodes at best then
One Punch Man has an amazing soundtrack, but my favourite song in connection to this anime is "One-Punch Man forever" which is a fan made song, made as an opening before the anime even had an official opening.
To be fair, you could say that the openings don't necessarily "fit" the show either 😆 Or rather, they can give you a bit... skewed expectations. But it's definitely worth watching, it's hilarious!
One Punch Man is hilarious to watch. It pokes a lot of fun at all of those superhero stereotypes. It actually makes you completely forget all the badassery so you're constantly surprised by it. I hope this is something you react to here on youtube. It would be fun to watch with you.
Just want to add that a the openings band, JAM Project, has a brazillian singer and we can't even notice the diference from the other members (in the second opening). And also, second ending is sang by the main character voice actor
"Why does an anime as epic as OPM have the most chill endings" because anime endings tend to be more introspective and reflect character inner thoughts, as opposed to openings which display more the themes of the entire thing to hype it up. You will find chill endings when the MC is chill or melancholic, and more agresive endings when the MC is agresive or nervous. Example: the overlord endings are melancholic but forceful, the tanya endings are metal, one piece endings are cheerful, and so on
One Punch Man is one of my favorite anime. At first I only started watching it because of Saitamas Japanese voice actor (who also sings the second ending) and it turned into such a comfort anime for me.
One Punch Man was actually also my "first" anime (not including Dragon Ball, Pokemon and Yugioh), and season 1 is still to this day one of my favourite anime of all time (we don't talk about season 2). The first opening is also one of my favourite openings of all time, just because of how absolutely fucking hype it is. Unlike Ashes on the Fire, the hype doesn't come from an amazing dramatic story that builds momentum and epicness to shake you to your core, but from pure, undiluted FUN. The undistilled power and fun that is radiating through the entirety of the first season of OPM is truly condensed and distilled into the opening, with both the song and the visuals being absolutely awesome. The first half of that opening, where it's just saitama being in different environments or facing different monsters is my favourite thing ever, especially when he's standing in front of the "God" level threat. Anyway, obligatory day 115 of requesting "Spare Me Great Lord" op and ed reaction. It's a chinese anime with an absolutely amazing soundtrack and so much style that I put the opening on the same level of drip as Lost in Paradise (JJK ed 1). I think you'd really enjoy it.
My favorite thing about this anime is the dichotomy between some of the action scenes. One moment it will be serious with highly detailed shots, and then it'll switch to a simpler drawing where the characters are acting a little derpy. With funny walks or jokes. I love it so much.
I believe this is the 1st time I've ever heard either endings in their entirety lol. Would love to see you reactions to OPM. It's super funny, action packed, and as a Manga reader I can tell you SHIT GETS CRAAAAZYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!
The premise of "A guy who can beat every villain with one punch" sets up the humor, but the substance comes from the supporting cast, not only do we see them develop through their experiences with Saitama (the one punch man) , but We see Saitama grow through his experiences with them. As Saitama's conflict is purely internal, as he has lost all motivation and drive for life due to the fact that nothing gives him a challenge. He's developed this distorted world view that he has achieved the limit of what he can do therefore nothing matters anymore, but he struggles to see that the ability to beat every villain in one punch is only a minute facet of the life he has left to live. The Supporting cast who are all fighting to further their lives in different ways, help him realize there is more to life than just winning. meanwhile those around him learn from him being there, as someone respect, look up to, or be humbled by. Genos, (Saitama's self proclaimed disciple is the sit in for who would have been your typical shonen battle protagonist if this were any other series. He is the one with the tragic backstory, and is fighting an uphill battle to find justice for his family. while also growing as a character himself to overcome flaws and push past his limits both physically and mentally.
One punch man openings pump you full of adrenaline to get you hyped for the show, but ending mellows you out so you don`t accidentally go and punch a wall after episode is over
The answer of ending being completely different from opening is quite simple. Becoz in anime opening is like entry or preview of the show. But ending if u read lyrix , it's filled with emotions. Emotions of the mc Or other surround him. Bcoz no good anime is complete without the emotion, or character growth, yeah call it a CAHARCTER growth. Exception are always there but it's a general view.
Check out the intro and ending for “the way of the househusband” The anime itself is such a bizarre synopsis, but ends up being such a feel good anime. I binged through both seasons in an day. It was so much fun. Also, YES! Watch One Punch Man!
I didn't even know this had a second season. I watched the first one back in the day and enjoyed it quite a bit, but it never gave the vibes of a show they would want to continue. Then again, this is hardly the first time I've been wrong. For recommendations: Higurashi, as always. Both the openings and endings are amazing. And I'll die on the hill trying o make you react to more obscure ops and eds like Angels of Death, Id:Invaded, and In;Spectre.
one-punch man has many layers to it, that way it gets all kinds of publics together, being it comedy genre, shounen (fighting), a bit of romance and also flirts with some serious topics such as depression and even philosophical, deep topics such as the value of the journey vs the value of achieving its end, using multiple perspectives with other protagonists. the ending maybe conveys those deeper meanings, I also recommend more than 1 watch after you end it, this is an absolute masterpiece that you get more things each time you read/watch.
Opm so goated 10/10 watch imo at least the first season is. 2nd season is good just kind of different from the first I'd say a 7/10 second season. Def worth watching.
You should watch the video of Jam Project singing the first OP live. It's pretty awesome! It made me wish I was there listening in person. Actually, please listen to more Jam Project songs cause they're all hype like this. Several members of that band (former and current) also have solo careers and make really good songs on their own. One of the former members is Rica Matsumoto (voice actor for Pokemon's Satoshi) and you already listened to her sing Pokemon's OP on the First Take.
The band that sing the opening is Jam Project, is well know for singing songs of the super robot wars game series. Also they sing songs of the mecha anime’s specifically the mazinger and mazinkaizer series. I recommend “ the gates of hell” song from mazinkaiser.
One Punch Man is so good, it takes the overpowered main character trope and turns it on its head. This anime blends action and comedy very well and the fight scenes are well animated. You will love this show I guarantee it. Please react to the openings and endings of Jormungand, I sure you will love them.
Someone probably answered this already but DR Movie is a South Korean animation support studio. A bunch of Japanese studios use them all the time (one famous example is White Fox used them extensively when making Re:Zero, especially season 2, they worked on so much of season 2 that you might as well call that a collaboration between White Fox and DR Movie).
You asked if the fights are good, they aren't good they are exceptionals, that animation (for the S1 cuz S2 is excellent but the animation is not that good) is AAAAAABSOLUTELY STUNNING you definitely need to watch it, it's fun, there's a lot of action, it's short and there's no nudity + the animation (I already said it but it's so good...)
The first ED perfectly portrays the loneliness that Saitama lives before meeting Genos, King and the rest of his companions, since he lives in a completely abandoned sector of his city. In contrast, the second ED shows that despite what Saitama says, he hasn't lost his feelings, as well as how his companions have managed to give more strength to that flame that Saitama believed had been extinguished since he became too strong.
Yes the fights are insanely amazing. As for the endings, One Punch Man a series is sort of a parody of other anime. It's making fun of other anime while also being a love letter. Thus whenever the whole stereotype of "Openings are Hype and Endings are Chill" they went FULL THROTTLE on the joke, hence you see the huge contrast
The entire show is supposed to be one big amazing badass joke, so I'm not sure but I think the EDs are part of that joke. The show does have some AMAZING fight scenes, which the OPs hype up, but half the time the show is just about Mr. One Punch living a normal life just trying to make ends needs and I think that's what the EDs are about.
Show is basically a subversion/parody of Superheroes. And alot of its quality shines more from the side characters and stories around them, more than the MC himself. But the mc is entertaining as well in his own right.
Man, i cant believe you havent heard this one before. This is a brilliant anime, the only manga i read weekly, the moment it comes out. The manga artwork is gorgeous, murata, the artist, is an artistic genius imo, every panel, and especially the girls, are gorgeous. Also, the two girls are sisters, not the same person, and the small one, tatsumaki, is the best. Love that youll watch kaguya, but id recommend it for a full reaction, not watchalong, because its onenof the greatest anime ever imo. The best rom-com of all time
Animation? Yea, one punch man is basically KNOWN for its animation We hadn't had such a stacked group of well known people in the anime industry working on a single project since one punch man all the way up until stuff like Chainsaw man
I love what you do! And i love one punch man too, i think you should watch the second opening but in french version because they added some lyrics (in french but the opening is mostly in japanese) and i think the more dynamic due to it.
"So One Punch Man is basically that kid who says "I want all superpowers"" No, One Punch Man is basically the man who can defeat all superpowers with just one punch.
The first season of One Punch Man is so epically awesome and funny. This is essentially a parody of a character progressing to God levels of strength at the end of the series, except in this case it is the reverse and he is feeling bored/lacking joy due to no challenge. The writing is really clever with a great cast to balance out the main character being too strong and one shotting everything too. I think you would love at least the first season and I would love to see you react to it.
If it's about fights, then you can probably count the anime with similar or better animated fights on one or two hands, especially if you count the last big fight of season one. But what makes OPM great is not only the fights, but also the wide range of characters, how they interact and the whole comedy behind it. If you like epic over the top openings like this, then I really recommend the openings/endings of Kekkai Sensen and Drifters! I would also love to see you reacting to the openings/endings of Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song, Great Teacher Onizuka, Digimon, Sangatsu no Lion and The Promised Neverland :D
I think in case of that show they made the endings calming .So that the kids after watching don't just stand up an try to punch the next thing they see .
5:59 excellent choice my man JAM Project is absolutely amazing and even more so live. Check out their SKILL-2015 - one for their 15th anniversary and let me tell you it was an experience.

Example: the overlord endings are melancholic but forceful, the tanya endings are metal, one piece endings are cheerful, and so on
You definitely need to check out this anime! It's legendary!
One Punch Man is one of my favorite anime. At first I only started watching it because of Saitamas Japanese voice actor (who also sings the second ending) and it turned into such a comfort anime for me.
opm has some of the best animated fights ever. Its a fire anime. You should watch it for sure
OMG, yes please, One Punch Man reactions!
My favorite thing about this anime is the dichotomy between some of the action scenes. One moment it will be serious with highly detailed shots, and then it'll switch to a simpler drawing where the characters are acting a little derpy. With funny walks or jokes. I love it so much.
Now you need to react to "Sakura Miko One Punch OP cover." It is a close second to the energy of the original.
I believe this is the 1st time I've ever heard either endings in their entirety lol.
Would love to see you reactions to OPM. It's super funny, action packed, and as a Manga reader I can tell you SHIT GETS CRAAAAZYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!
Insanely funny bordering on the ridiculous. The fight scenes are equally epic and over the top.
Absolutely watch OPM!
One punch man openings pump you full of adrenaline to get you hyped for the show, but ending mellows you out so you don`t accidentally go and punch a wall after episode is over
The duality between the openings and endings really showcases the overall feel of One Punch Man
The answer of ending being completely different from opening is quite simple.
Check out the intro and ending for “the way of the househusband”
The anime itself is such a bizarre synopsis, but ends up being such a feel good anime.
The most impressive thing imo are the sounds and the ost, the fights are very epic too, totally recommended
Oh yeah? 🤯🤔
This is one of the best anime ever made. You asked what the fights are like? they are godly and out of this world, literally.
Hironobu Kageyama has such an ICONIC voice. He is awesome
One punch man is primarily a gag series but it does have deeper meaning and great character writing
one-punch man has many layers to it, that way it gets all kinds of publics together, being it comedy genre, shounen (fighting), a bit of romance and also flirts with some serious topics such as depression and even philosophical, deep topics such as the value of the journey vs the value of achieving its end, using multiple perspectives with other protagonists. the ending maybe conveys those deeper meanings, I also recommend more than 1 watch after you end it, this is an absolute masterpiece that you get more things each time you read/watch.
DR Movie is actually a South Korean animation studio that frequently works with Japanese companies on anime titles.
The girl you were talking about and how she looked like the girl in the first op are actually sisters. The one in the first op is actually older too
Gintama endings and later Gintama Yorinuki opening and endings (you can do both of the Yorinuki since they're both short)
He is not just based on his punches...his everything is super Infinity
One punch man is definitely one you need to watch and an anime I’d love to watch you react to!
Still surprised it lost the Twitch poll, but yes, watch it.
The band that sing the opening is Jam Project, is well know for singing songs of the super robot wars game series. Also they sing songs of the mecha anime’s specifically the mazinger and mazinkaizer series. I recommend “ the gates of hell” song from mazinkaiser.
one punch man is a series you would absolutely love. it is to quote you "CRAZY MAN! THIS IS CRAZY!"
One Punch Man is so good, it takes the overpowered main character trope and turns it on its head. This anime blends action and comedy very well and the fight scenes are well animated. You will love this show I guarantee it.
Please react to the openings and endings of Jormungand, I sure you will love them.
Amazing reaction!!! 🔥👍
Yeah the fights are awesome! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
❤️🤯
One Punch Man anime is pure gold, amazing parody and comedy with more than awesome animation and fighting scenes. Like holy shit dude!
Now that what we call hype, cant wait for the ep reactions.
This anime legendary in every way possible. From the music animation to story everything is fire.
THe contrast in this show is taken to the extreme with the OPs and the EDs because this show is a comedy and its all about irony and satire :)
The fights are absolutely amazing, season one had one of the best animators of it's time working on it as a passion project
the fights in this anime are absolutely insane
You asked if the fights are good, they aren't good they are exceptionals, that animation (for the S1 cuz S2 is excellent but the animation is not that good) is AAAAAABSOLUTELY STUNNING you definitely need to watch it, it's fun, there's a lot of action, it's short and there's no nudity + the animation (I already said it but it's so good...)
One can only take so much Epicness at once before needing a chill palate cleanser.
This is my favorite anime, I love One Punch Man so much 👊 🤩
Yes the fights are insanely amazing.
As for the endings, One Punch Man a series is sort of a parody of other anime. It's making fun of other anime while also being a love letter. Thus whenever the whole stereotype of "Openings are Hype and Endings are Chill" they went FULL THROTTLE on the joke, hence you see the huge contrast
the band that sings the openings is called Jam Project
The entire show is supposed to be one big amazing badass joke, so I'm not sure but I think the EDs are part of that joke. The show does have some AMAZING fight scenes, which the OPs hype up, but half the time the show is just about Mr. One Punch living a normal life just trying to make ends needs and I think that's what the EDs are about.
If you loved One Punch Man opening, you'll love Busou Renkin. The opening was sang by the same guy.
Show is basically a subversion/parody of Superheroes.
And alot of its quality shines more from the side characters and stories around them, more than the MC himself. But the mc is entertaining as well in his own right.
the ending 2 is my fav, the singer is main char voice actor.
5:32 Amazing, I’d argue a couple could be in the top 10 anime fights of all time
The second OP is the first opening compose by a brazilian. Ricardo Cruz is a Jam Project member since 2005. 🇧🇷
Whatever show that JAM Project related, is Banger quality guaranteed. For example: One punch man, Crush Gear, Garo, Rescue Fire
The first season of one punch man is probably my favourite piece of media just in general. I cannot recommend it highly enough
One punch man is one of this animes that bring people to this world, like demon slayer or atack on titan.
The fights in this show is some of the best fights I have ever seen in anime.
YES YES YES PLS WATCH ONE PUNCH MAN
OPM finally
Man, i cant believe you havent heard this one before. This is a brilliant anime, the only manga i read weekly, the moment it comes out. The manga artwork is gorgeous, murata, the artist, is an artistic genius imo, every panel, and especially the girls, are gorgeous. Also, the two girls are sisters, not the same person, and the small one, tatsumaki, is the best.
Love that youll watch kaguya, but id recommend it for a full reaction, not watchalong, because its onenof the greatest anime ever imo. The best rom-com of all time
Animation?
Yea, one punch man is basically KNOWN for its animation
We hadn't had such a stacked group of well known people in the anime industry working on a single project since one punch man all the way up until stuff like Chainsaw man
Lmao I almost spilled my drink when Tatsumaki's code was shown
I love what you do! And i love one punch man too, i think you should watch the second opening but in french version because they added some lyrics (in french but the opening is mostly in japanese) and i think the more dynamic due to it.
"So One Punch Man is basically that kid who says "I want all superpowers""
No, One Punch Man is basically the man who can defeat all superpowers with just one punch.
5:59 excellent choice my man
JAM Project is absolutely amazing and even more so live.
Check out their SKILL-2015 - one for their 15th anniversary and let me tell you it was an experience.
Don't know if anybody has pointed this out yet but the same author who created One Punch Man also did Mob Psycho 100. And you remember how crazy those openings were? Yeah these shows are good. Also a great classic anime opening you should check out is the OP for Yu Yu Hakasho!!!
You'd think the fights are boring cuz it ends in 1 punch but TRUST ME, the one who made this is a fkg GENIUS! He managed to make the fight scenes AWESOME!!!
