In history Somalis helped Africans fight of the Porteguese. There is not a country in Africa that Somalia hasn't helped. Which is why we unfortunately have so many enemies in the world.

Jared P you should see how it looked in the 70s and 80s it was a major tourist destination sadly the civil war destroyed every buildings monuments historical sites but every year it’s improving with new roads buildings hotels restaurants even though terrorist attacks happen almost every week we are going to let that stop us from developing our country Somali army is being trained by our brothers turkey who opened a military base near the airport and many soilders were sent all over the world to be trained in ten years people will be shocked you should’ve seen how Mogadishu was in 2011 there was not one building standing now many businesses are being built all over the capital

As people are selling local goods on the streets, people are transporting their goods on horses and shopping for fresh produce at their local market stalls etc. I don't see pirates with balaclavas and rifles shooting at people etc. I just see people minding their own business and walking the Streets peacefully

I'm from the UK and married to a Somali sister, she was adamant that her relatives in Somali wanted to meet me. We flew out there and honestly I was so scared you know being a white man in an unstable country. But Alhamdulillah I felt very safe walking around and I found the people to be attentive, nice and welcoming. When I returned to the UK I sure had a hard time explaining why went to Somalia lol
