10/10 title.
You mean 10/10 clickbait. I was SPEECHLESS btw
@@martinthe3rd664lmao 10/10
Stop watching farz after he started doing tons of click bait
only problem with clickbait is the majority of people who scan a page but don't watch the video
That's on them and they aren't likely customers anyway, just kids with emotional opinions.
@@Mrbfgray hmmm, 39 upvotes and one contrarian, gotta love social media
@@jolive3743 Penniless pointless children with nothing better to do.
You are absolutely correct. It's weapons grade stupidity not even to use a question mark and straight up lie about your car in the title.
@@whynotstartusingyourbrain8726 not a lie its named Rusty
OK, that is hilarious! I expect you will be interviewed by Reuters about your rusty Cybertruck.
I'm happy I got clickbaited, and got clickbaited only because I didn't have faith that anyone DID know their grammar anymore. I just learned how much I ignore grammar and just go with what people surely mean on the internet lmao. Ugghh
I like how it is conditional clickbait, because those who know how commas and capitalization work were immediately clear on what Rusty meant.
Obviously an English major, good on you for pointing that out.
You mean like capitalization in a title where generally every word is capitalized? Is that what you're talking about? Is that what made it so obvious to you?
Damn, good clickbait hah. I consider you a reliable source of information for teslas so as soon as i saw the notification, I went "oh no". Love your content ❤️⚡
Let me make a suggestion based on years of hauling stuff. Instead of putting the gravel in the bed, rent a dump trailer. That way you can combine a towing video with getting gravel. I make this suggestion for two reasons. First, with a dump trailer, you can set a gap on the tailgate and spread the gravel while pulling the trailer with the bed tilted up. This would be much easier than shoveling the gravel out of the truck bed. Second, I think you will be amazed (or perhaps dismayed) by how much gravel it will take for your driveway. I don’t think one ton will make the difference you want.
Thanks! Most of the driveway is is good, it's just needed in a few spots. I actually think 1 ton may be a bit too much, but I'll throw any extra on the road if that's the case.
Yup…
my dads driveway it was probably about 100 yards long, it needed close to 20 tons of gravel, Either way if there were one item I wouldn't want in the back of the truck it would be gravel, it has a tendency to get everywhere like drain holes in between rails, could potentially break the tonneau.
@@user-tc8cz3tq9e I'm in total agreement with you. Gravel will fill up any holes it can find, drains, tie downs, everywhere.
@@DirtyTesla overall any electric vehicle is putting the buggy before the horse. How do you like the fact my 2014 honda crv is better for towing than the cybertruck has more range towing 3,500 lbs.
I encouraged Chris in a reply about two weeks ago to call his Cybertruck "RustyTesla", the title of the video is great and I hope I was the inspiration for the name
Comprehensive reading is very important 😂
True 🙄
PUNCTUATION ALSO
I did not notice the caps on Rusty until I read this comment.. lol.
You did us Dirty, Chris I thought that the truck had rust on it not that you named the truck Rusty 😂
I hear your gripe about the rear screen and agree. Had considered adding a center console screen, but really thought we could do better. I mounted two 13” screens to the back seats of my Y, with a retro arcade system rigged up. It’s so awesome on roadtrips!
Tesla already has an idesa of how many rear passenngers are preesent per trip and their frequency of screen usage. That data told them what is 'acceptable". Also, the stupid bburried plug recepticals are there to prevent protuding plugs being hard knocked by various situations damaging the ports.
@@otto_schwarzkopf I imagine frequency of usage goes down with desirability. I’d rarely use a screen mounted that low. Would be nice if my USB-C ports were better protected though. They’re always getting bumped.
LOVE IT. ❤ Great video.
I just want mine now!
i know its silly to charge extra for something like a tray. but $45 cost * 1 million trucks over the next few years is $45m. every penny adds up when volume comes into play. anything they can delete saves a lot of money on COGS. My new Y doesn't have the tray where my 2019 3 does. It really doesn't matter to me that the Y doesn't have it. I wasn't using the tray for anything special that I can't just throw in the larger space.
Can you test out the framerate on your cybertruck display using ufotest?
Also UWB Phone Key Functionality, in rain running as fast as you can to open the cybertruck does it open up immediately?
On my 2018 model 3 sometimes in the rain while rushing up to the car with iphone in pocket the car doesn't open right away.
Now you're going to have to buy a giant Cybertruck screen with HDMI out.
Already talked to Adam about it... we'll see
what is with the frunk hinges all covered in dirt? do the wheel wells don't have good covers and the mud is thrown up? that seems like a design flaw.
Do you have to pay extra to get the locking differential enabled? Or will it be free via a software update at some point?
It'll come free via an update, should be this quarter
Hey, that plastic piece that you scratched up on the back of the truck (top of the tailgate), is actually only like $68 to replace! 😊
That low headlight, I find that 100% awesome, and I wish all truck manufacturers would pay attention. As a sedan driver, I really hate the blinding headlights of tall vehicles, with the headlights at the upper corners.
I hope the Cyber Truck is successful enough to make everyone else take notice.
Yeah I thought about that. Getting blinded by trucks all the time was so annoying in my lower vehicles.
@@DirtyTesla Since you have a CT, I'd love to see the relative height of the headlights vs a sedan like a 3. And maybe the CT nighttime look from a low car ahead of it.
Love Your Cyber Tesla "Rusty" !!! Great Video!
Can you double check? It's my understanding that it comes with a hitch just not a receiver. The hitch is behind a plastic piece
Hello just wondering what the daily charge cost is? I know you have solar and charge off of that. We have a 2023 model Y and we drive a little more than 100 miles a day and the Y is just fine . Just trying to figure out what I’m getting myself into for monthly electric payments. Any info would help.
This will use about 35% more energy than a Y on average
@@DirtyTesla thanks that helps for sure. Love your content now more than ever trying to get as much info on the truck as possible. Driving, charging, range, towing And trying to compare with the Model Y since that’s all I can compare to.
When do you think the front windshield will be cracked? Within a year?
This is great. Can you show us where the low voltage battery is and what it looks like? I’m interested because of how it’s 48V.
90° doors are almost as easy as minivan doors
The squared off wheel was common on Chrysler vehicles in the 60s. IIRC, our Plymouth Fury had one, also the puzhbutton transmission controls.
Came here for a rusty cybertruck and wasn’t disappointed. Greetings from DET
This really puts a few things in perspective. I had some time to chew on the Cybertruck. I'm glad I am waiting but also at the same time I really love it. I feel the same disappointment for some of the things you brought up. Overall I think it is still a worthy truck to own.
My model y rear usbc ports i wish were down below. Mine our full of dirt from the kids shoes, and they are always sticking way out where the kids can break them.
only a guess but id take it maybe they didnt put a screen in the back of the seats for safety reasons. In an accident smashing head into a screen instead of the seat might have been the reason. I could be wrong though. Maybe they could have a screen flip down from the ceiling in the middle. I know the benefit of having 2 screens but I think there is going to be a safety issue there still no matter how they are positioned.
Which usb ports have data? You know for dashcam and gaming joysticks. I think your video only showed 2 usb c ports in the rear. Regarding range, I agree 300 is too low. Bigger battery option wanted without digging into bed space
There's USB A in the glove drawer
I would to hear your thoughts on the PowerShare package. The hardware is shipped to installer who gives an outrageous install quote. You can’t get the hardware (Gateway and Universal wall mount charger) if you decline the install quote. Tesla only provide $700 store credits. Why can’t we get the hardware we paid for?
Dude this is the best CT walkthrough I have seen so far, I love that you go over every little thing. I love that because I want to know everything about it!! Thanks man for always giving your best..
Thanks. I know when I'm interested in stuff like this I want to know every little thing so I tried to bring that here. But there's still more!!
I agree it's one of the best breakdown videos
Just rub along the grain with grey Scotchbrite to remove swirl marks. Try mineral spirits for a lubricant.
There is not obvious grain... besides the swirl marks I showed haha
When the repeaters get dirty, is it noticeable in the video feed? The focus on the cameras makes some dirt not noticeable. Of course, a lot can completely block them.
A little bit of dirty is actually not noticeable at all, but yes even on the Y they can get covered to the point of being unusable in just a little bit of wet dirt road driving.
Your review was very well done. I am also a reservation holder and hope to get mine sometime next year (dual motor). Perhaps, there might be a LFP version down the road, but at this time I would not want the battery extender due to the decrease in payload capacity and storage room in the vault. Thanks again.
I think people are going to be disappointed waiting for the price decrease. The standard truck will come with wheels everyone wants to upgrade, and by then, FSD will really work well and be worth the price. It may even be back up to $15k. With wheel upgrades, and the FSD, price won't be much if any lower. I agree, quality will be better as Tesla constantly improves. I just don't think FS is that terrible of a deal, especially if you can use Powershare. Compare the Cybertruck to the Raptor out the door dealership price. The Raptor costs a lot more after markup.
You may be right
Hey Chris has that new Cybertruck plastic smell subsided in your truck yet?
Is the touch screen in the back protected at all or is it easy to scratch?
Rusty? You know media will pick up on this.....
Good details, the FS 20k does include a Tire Package, and other accessories as well as FSD eventually. So it's not all a waste, but it's bad because you are forced into it. Tesla really is annoying people with their bait and switch tactics. $50k -> 80k. Ooooh but wait... Upsell Trim $100k. They need to rein it in, because the bad PR is for sure hurting them. The demand will eventually slow down and that's when they'll logically stop the Foundation Series.
Yeah... when you price out the options, especially with FSD, it's not a bad deal... but do you want all that stuff? I absolutely never pick the upgraded tires because I want the best efficiency and comfort.
I guess you have never heard of the "dealer markup"
I can't imagine how awesome this truck will be in 2 to 3 years when the battery tech improves and they add more features.
I enjoy the title of this video :)
Thoughts on audio vs the model x?
You are doing a great job 👏 and now with summer coming you might consider doing some camping videos.
I believe I wouldn't mind the approximate 300 mile range. If I wanted more then I'd get/wait for the next up sub-model or even the 2nd next up.
You mentioned the appearance of wraps are becoming, damaged(?). How? Isn't it the same wrap material as the wraps people have gotten on - any other vehicle (Tesla)? I've yet to hear/see anything about this except for now from you.
Headlights being where snow can accumulate is a deal breaker for me. I love Cybertruck's interior but its exterior just puts me off from considering it. It needs a few more tweaks for its next version.
@9:05 Good reason to keep _DUCT TAPE_ in the Frunk! _QUACKERS_
The "wrap" single handedly helped save the Cybertruck.
Great title Chris, got me lol
@5:38 Seriously, how awesome is the design of the _FRUNK_
Franz and Tesla Team for the _WIN_
😂 thanks for sacrificing your leg!
Someone online said that his friend's mother had three of her fingers chopped off by the frunk lid closing on them. I'm guessing he was just trying to make Cybertruck look bad.
It's a cracking Truck
Definitely get tempered glass screen protectors for the rear screen (and front screen)!
Me too I bump my head there, I am 5’8”. 😂
Here's a stupid idea, park up and keep the outlets on but have the truck plugged in charging and see how much you gain/lose?
Headlights animation appears a bit wrong on the center screen as you mentioned that actual headlights are just above the bumper. It is showing DRL as HL.
Appreciate the thorough run down, and the open pro's and con's. It does seem like the ambitious truck Elon was looking for, and currently feels like we are in 'early adopter' or beta tester mode. I expect it will be gradually improved, for a while, like much that comes out of tech ecosystems.
No. Its not every car door and I will say a prayer for your little girls fingers. Lets hope she gets to keep all ten. That is so wise of you to think you can proactivly protect your daughter at all times, from your vehicle.
Frunk hinges look pretty nasty dirty in the video. Have you tried to clean those?
No
I can’t believe how dirty they were? Are those hinges exposed in the wheel well?? That’s not going to be good long term! Tesla needs to do something to stop that!
@@DirtyTeslawondering what it looks like behind the frunk plastics.
I'll check soon, might just post pics to X
I keep hoping to see you and the cybertruck, The Costco, was it the one in Brighton?
I don't go to Costco so... someone else :)
I agree on the range concerns. Higher range also means faster charge rates given your 0-80% gets you further. Maybe you’d start to hit some upper limit of the supercharger you’re on, but you should at least be able to sustain its max for longer.
1st production vehicles of any type will always have issues/bugs, especially w new tech.
That's why I won't spend the extra on Foundation series unless it was 1st 100 made. Let others work out the bugs at their premium price.
They should put a flip cover over the tonneau cover buttons because the Sun (especially in Az) will eat it up.
You have the restraint strap in the rear facing configuration. You need to move the strap to the forward facing position.
What is the dirty Tesla spirit. couldn't find the exact quote.
I prefer review videos that are thorough, so don't worry about the length.
That was weird you can see daylight through the door after only removing the liner from that pocket. Could road dust get through that?
When the door is closed that opening obviously is inside the cabin.
@@otto_schwarzkopf Cool. Makes sense.
Sympathize with the obscurity of the USB ports on the passenger side of the center console, but if they were on front it would cause the cable ends to protrude in a very kick-and-damageable way.
Can you run it through an automatic carwash on video?
Ouch kids hand on top of sidepanel 😮 when frunk closing.
Are you going to be at Clarkston SC today at noon?
Yep with my Cybertruck!
@@DirtyTesla right on i will be there.
Great title 😂. Agree with all your points here.
Every truck goes through sanding at the SC. You can look at the service manual for what they are supposed to do, it's pretty involved. I don't think most service centers know what they're doing on it yet, mine has some swirls as well, yours does look like they left a lot more scratches though. I would recommend anyone who wants to fix this bring it to a good detailer with the service manual section. They know how to use the tools and have time to do a better job. I'm fine with mine but as it builds environmental scratches I may have this done. You can do minimal spot touch ups, you have to do 3 full 'planes' on either side of the vehicle. The manual describes it well, including all products (sanding discs, etc) required.
Use your phone camera to see the ports under the console at the back seats.
Silicone wipers are the best last twice as long and super quite.
When you gonna remove the side mirrors?
Very soon. I want something to fill in the hole tho
34:41 the lever point is in a different place. It's designed so you can rest your heel at the bottom of the pedal, and then toe forward for acceleration. If you're resting your foot on the floor in front of the pedal, like we usually do in cars, it'll be more difficult because your toe is pushing further down rather than close to the tip top.
CyberTruck V2.0 wants: bigger battery (200 KW minimum) since Sandy Munro showed the existing pack has room for double number of batteries, rear camera washer, headlights flush with frunk opening (help keep ice and snow from building up, power outlet in the frunk, allow the NEMA 14-50 bed outlet to work while charging via standard port (plug in 30 amp RV while charging on standard port), rearview mirror camera, 360 degree camera view on main screen, dual rear screens on seat backs (like you mentioned), HUD showing speed and directional signals as a minimum, ditch the power sliding glovebox; just normal manual one.
This the truck I want and need from Tesla as an RV'er.
I didn't see where the rust issue was discussed. I've heard bits on other channels but when I saw the title here I was hoping for a real and more definitive answer. Scratches, smudges, dings, swirls; I all heard, but nothing about 'rust' ?
If John Delorean. Was alive today
I agree, the range should be at least that of a model S long range, 400+
I think a few cans of WD-40 would be a nice touch to deal with the rust.
I hear you should only use windex wi no ammonia
The small battery and low range is the reason I haven't bought one. If they come out with a 500+ mile version without screwing up the bed, I will buy it. Gm has a big battery in their truck, so can Tesla.
Very creative title. I can't even say that it is click bait xD
That emergency rear door release cover is WAY too hard for Biden to open! 🙂
Why did you choose a name that implies the truck is rusty?
It's funny
I must say that after comparing the CT with other premium pickups , the interior of the CT feels cheap to me. I get that its a different esthetic and appeals to a segment of the public, but in the details it just seems less than impressive.
It definitely feels spartan but materials feel as nice as my f150 raptor you need to experience it in person
How often does rusty get rusted ?
What’s the recommended charging (up to ) percentage for daily driving vs road trips for the cyber?
It recommends 80%
SOLID! Love the real world pragmatic review…BTW, are you Italian or from the Northeast? You wearing one glove or two?
lol all of the above... clips are from different filming sessions
@@DirtyTesla WAIT, are you italian? That's cool!

Brilliant move my friend. Welcome to the UA-cam sphere Rusty! May you confuse people for laughs for years to come! 🎉
How ridiculous could you be to name your truck RUSTY! After that I would not trust anything you say!
With the towing numbers they are throwing around, they should have offered a much better range, without the mega pack.
Seriously..... Just Image if you could have bought this for 40K! I would come out of retirement if I needed the awd at 60k!
