I have seen this game recommended 100 times on steam and never clicked on it even, dont know why but just didnt, so after seeing you play it i am now expecting to be many hours deep into this, thank you for that and for the great content
To those who might want to know: there's usually a bar next to the Total/Delta/Cover graph that says Emit mode (On or Off). It is meant for the Creep Emitters. When it reaches certain value (the emit cap) no emitters will produce more creep. BUT, and here's the catch, all other creeper producing forms will still work. That includes blue and yellow breeder terrain, air sacks, flooders, exploding creeper eggs and, specially troublesome, stashes. In maps where there's no emit cap, like this one, it means the emitters will always be active. Like Wonderbot said, this map doesn't get any more difficult, but there are others where the cap may play against the player since it means that when you gain some terrain by removing a lot of creep at once, the creeper will respond by generating a huge amount to compensate and reach (or even pass) the cap. The number on the cap is not a set coefficient, so use it as a guide on how much creep you'll get. BTW, it applies to PAC maps as well.
I would like to correct two things, when the emit mode is reached, all breeder terrain, and stashes, deactivate, but breeder still generates anti creeper for some reason :D Also, what do you mean by flooders?
Tips and tricks for creeper world from an ametuer: 1. Use Terps to modify terrain(such as flattening mining areas & tops of islands) *do this asap 2. factory should be put down in the first 10 seconds 3. Pause the game when you're setting down buildings 4. ERN ports gains efficiency the longer an ern is active in it 5. Sprayers have a 'always on' function that always keeps producing anti-creep 6. If you ever have excess greenar, build rockets if you have access to them 7. Yellow ground is creep & anti-creep generators 8. Multiple Greenar refineries bumps up the efficiency(usually a greenar mother generates more than one can handle) 9. Pylon highways is a must on any map 10. remember to reposition unused defense towers(anti-creep can cover for the back lines) 11. sweeper beams are blocked by terrain, so make sure to put them at the best height for maximum efficiency 12. Grids are awesome. Hope this helps!
Ern portal should be built after you are getting 2 or 3 of energy and factory after you are ready to build a couple of units, otherwise you will delay the construction of towers
Instead of making pylon highways, you can move the rift lab closer to areas you want to get ammo and stuff quicker, but on large maps like these, they are a good idea to get. Also, don’t get a factory down until around the 3min mark, as it won’t serve a purpose until spores are shot (unless you need totems or shields made quickly) and will just delay more important units being built. I would build the Ern Portal around the 45 second mark, as the build speed and energy efficiency upgrades help you a lot in the early game. Also try and build sweepers in spots where they get most areas that have deep creeper, but also build them as low as possible, as they delete more the further down they are. Also, don’t build miners on the edge of resource terrain, as they lose efficiency on the edges - you can see when they are less efficient when they show a red area on the miner (when building)
I just want to say, the fact that you, and the rest of the wholsomeverse, are willing to take a stand on social issues is a large part of why I like watching you. ... Well, that and you're fun to watch.
Well, actually, maximum difficulty is when you also set the map size to be as small as possible... but I guess this randomly generated one was fairly above average difficulty too.
I completly agree that the person (and their views) behind the game is an important part of whether to promote / buy a game. It is giving money to someone that has potentially detrimental views / effects on society, so it's _supporting_ them. The fact that you have an unyielding stance on this kind of matter, is part of the reason why I keep watching (that, the fact the content is nice and that I've discovering a good deal of super nice games because of you)
1:14:24 it sucks when ya learn something about a dev of a game you bought that makes you regret buying said game. This is the second time this has happened to me now ugh
I came for creeper world content, stayed for the philosophical musings on the social responsibility of content creators in an interconnected world. This earned you a sub, and I think you deserve it. I found that young men especially flock to libertarian ideology quite simply because it gives them an excuse to take it easy and just not engage with life's complex questions. "Everyone for temselves" is an incredibly convenient doctrine for privileged kids who profit immensely from the way society is currently set up, and who really dislike the idea that they might owe a thing or two to that society, or they might have some sort of ethical responsibility to give anything back. Libertarianism, especially in its current internet-focused form, simply boils down to "my needs are taken care of and that's all that matters, lalalala can't hear you".
I mean, my stance on the whole youtuber and content creator thing is you do have a responsibility to speak up on some issues. Its a basic human responsibility. But its also a fine line because sometimes it can backfire and push people away from your content. So its a fine balance and I think that you do a good job of balancing your view and content. its never like I dont wanna watch or listen to you in the background. Its a good balance you have.
I mean… don't overhype the fluid dynamics the dev has implemented. They're rudimentary from a physics point of view. It's just a heightmap - a wave can't even cusp and curl over as you see on a beach. But props where due - it's a pretty dang snappy simulation fit for games.
@@wanderbots Ah, ok. I assumed you had them only on your palms. It took me a few years to figure out "Where are those bugs hiding?" and "Why only my hands?"
For making the grid, did you know that holding ctrl while dragging forces whatever you are building to be a perfectly strait line?
Waaaat
Just draging while building (from a existing one )also do that
Prayse the Grid! \o/
Grid for the power lines

1:31:15 on the topic of RTS, GiantGrantGames did an amazing essay on why RTS has never really returned to its former glory.

After hearing so much hype about this game from you Wander it totally lives upto it! What a neat take on the tower defence genre!

The train of thought regarding social issues was really mature, thoughtful, and even emotionally moving. Thanks for that!
Particle Fleet was so good, much rewatch that series!
MORE, I love creeper world;d 4
A sweeper can slice and cleave entire waves of creeper. Like a hot knife through butter.
> I picked a random map so no one can backseat
I believe I easily still could

This was a good movie!
Giving refineries an ERN doubles their yield...
like seeing this game again!
Yay movie!!
Creeper anti-gravity zones...😵
Very cool game
One m-rift means absolutely nothing for transportation purposes, you need two ro do anything
Stay positive
Not with COVID
I'm only 35 in, but what does an ERNed Sweeper look like?
Sweepers cannot be ERNed sadly, I guess they are powerful enough as they are, so I think being ERNed would be way too strong anyway.
It’s gridin time
The game reminds me of Solaris.

Looking forward when you comeback to play monster sanctuary with new team mix

Itching "bug bites" on the inside of your hands are most likely Dyshidrosis.
Or they're bug bites, considering the rest of my arms and legs had them too. No need to armchair diagnose on a YT video.

This game is not for everybody. Some games could take hours while others could take minutes.
