Good evening from Northern Pennsylvania. It’s a fun little hobby to do. It’s very addictive like a bad drug, but it’s also fun to do. Looks like the weather is nice down there. It’s 22 up here in PA. It’s supposed to get even colder. We have a severe weather winter advisory and they are to canceled school.
I like your videos keep them coming and the more you do work on that stuff the better you’re gonna get and you have a good teacher and friend to help you out Kevin a.k.a. the knife doc. Enjoy the rest your day and keep them videos coming brother.
@@JasonDoan-h6e thanks my friend. Yes weather has warmed nicely down here. Upper 70’s
I agree sir. It's the best thing I ever got in to
@ true that

It is good to see you getting hooked. I’ve been working and learning too. Doc got me hooked. I also use some extra fine steel wool, as well. I have to get me a dremmel tool as well. Doing great! ❤️🙏

Awesome video buddy. About this time last year I ran across Docs channel and got hooked. I absolutely love cleaning up old knives. I think sometimes I buy them just so I can clean them😅. The more you do it the more little tricks you will figure out. I'll hopefully see ya again at the Elleville knife show!
@@tylermcleod8782 can’t wait my friend
Good Stuff brother! We're out here, I'm in the same boat as you. I sat in my back porch and cleaned my knives for months outside. I have a little corner in the garage now. Congrats on the 600+ subs!!
@@mipd1980_edc thanks my friend
Nice cleanup Michael. I need to pick up a fiber wheel for my dremel tool. I picked up a few new knives from the flea Market and put some in lay away at the pawn shop. Posted a few shorts.
@@RedEyedPatriot sweet, I went crazy today on whatnot, yall don’t tell my wife. She is gonna kill me, lol.
Great job on those knives!!! I have that same fish knife and I believe it between 1946-1956. Just aword of advice when you use that wire brush on your dremel wear goggles!! It throws little wires thru the air like darts!! Believe me I know!!! Protect those eyes. Looks like the Doc has taught you well!! God Bless!!
@@Chuck-x7v thanks for the tip Chuck!
A couple suggestions, buddy. Get you some carpenter pencils. The graphite of the lead is coarse enough to take off rust without removing or scratching blade surfaces...really handy around tang stamps that are too tight to reach with wheels...get yourself a paint stick or thin slat to support the blade as you use the fiber wheel...the process heats up the blade and if it is thing enough it might bow...having the extra support should help give you even results along the blade...looks like you have a good start on your shop work area...good luck...thanks for the vid....Jim
@@jedijimknives love the suggestions, always appreciated!
You’re a natural
“I LOVE knives” = spend mo money! 😂
I am beginning to think I have an acquisition problem! Lol
Kevin will teach you! Taught me and I haven’t met the man, but I would love too. Tell him Massachusetts Dave says hello!
He kept forgetting my name or which Dave I was so I added my state. Lol
@@MrCaissed absolutely my friend! I don’t know how he keeps up with anything as busy as he is!
They make some flap wheels for your Dremel in different grits that work real well for getting out lighter scratches and such, I think I got mine from Amazon.
@@reggieheidelberg2363 thanks for the tip
you find out what works and what does not - youll get ther
@@joeylane774 that’s why I started with one I wasn’t afraid to mess up lol
You need some metal polish ( flitz or mothers) start with some 400 sandpaper and work up to 2500. Be safe and GOD BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸 🙏
