  • These adorable peg dolls represent the seasons. We use them with our calendar peg dolls. Each day, the kids replace the day of the week and day of the month peg dolls. And each month and each season they replace another one. It's a fun way to keep track of the days, months and seasons. Each morning the kids look forward to changing the day. They can also use these with our weather gnomes we made last year.

    Your daughter's set is adorable!
    I am a fan of the whimsy of your decorative Spring peg doll. That single one was my favourite

    I didn't realize you'd been making peg dolls for so long! I thought it was a new thing. 😊 I'm glad I watched...I now understand the draw! Very fun to make.

      Oh yes! I made them when I only had two boys. Granted they weren't as played with as with my younger two kids who are crazy for them. I've made more in the last two years than all the previous years combined.

      I'm just about to record a video that shows how we use our peg dolls for storytelling. We already use them for date and weather. If you're unsure about them, pick up some basic ones from a local craft store and use their felt. It's all super affordable and gives you a feel for the project. Then you can upgrade to the fancy materials :)

    I love the Gnomes that you and your daughter made. So adorable! I make my own Gnomes, and make them arms with pipe cleaners, then I make clothes for them out of felt. Gnomes are so cute! Making dolls to represent days, months, and seasons is a great idea! ~Janet in Canada 🧙‍♂️

    So lovely. Watch it couple times, and ready to make mine own. Thank you so much for sharing all work you do. Would not able to do without it all my homeschooling. Sorry for my "Ukrainian" English. I watch you for years. And recommended you to so many!

      I use Perfect Pearls spray, but you can also make your own with the powder.

      It hasn't for us, But I'm sure it's possible it does over time. If you seal it, it's less likely to happen.

    i recommend the uniball signo white gel pen for the white details. it goes on opaque and would be perfect for those snowflakes!www.amazon.com/Uni-Ball-153-Signo-Broad-Point/dp/B00KK6X7CW/ref=sr_1_4?s=office-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1507225053&sr=1-4&keywords=signo+gel+pen

      That's a great idea, Grace :) I have this same white gel pen and didn't think to use it. I get mixed results with it just using on paper. Maybe my pen is old?

    • @rsmrycross
      @rsmrycross 7 років тому

      i use it a lot in my illustrations and i just have to go slooow with it. and sometimes i go over the same spot twice or even a few times. they're definitely better than the white gelly roll pens though for sure.

    Where did you got non porous palette? Thank you.

    • @PepperandPine
      @PepperandPine  7 років тому +1

      I think it was a cutting mat for a die cutting machine, but you could use any piece of plastic. Some crafters use the plastic packaging from supplies.

    Opaque white spray is not awaleble. Is it any other white O can use? Like watercolor tube white? Thank you.

    • @PepperandPine
      @PepperandPine  6 років тому +1

      Yeah, you can use white acrylic paint and water it down.
