THANK YOU!!!! I'm making hot air balloon and need small rope. My wife has tons of yarn and now thanks to you I don't need to go shopping at the craft store!!😊
Thanks for the valuable tutorial--I've done this in the past but couldn't exactly recall the process. The basic concept of this technique far exceeds finger twisting each yarn to get a twine which is slow and hard on the hands.
A thought occurred to me as I was watching this video. I wonder if you could use a hand mixer with a kneading beater on low speed to twist the yarn instead your finger. The hook on the kneading beater would hold the yarn in place and it would save your finger not to mention your wrist. Just a thought.
Most people use a door handle to put the one end on prior to twisting? I think the finger method could hurt and cause some issues in people with problems with their hands, as I have. Nice results though 😊
I make 3 yarn strand baskets with a very tight stitch in order to make them stiffer. Wonder if this yarn rope would work better to get that stiffness without having to pull so tight? Have you ever used it to make baskets with?

Use a mix of colors and gold yarn too. Pretty cords
This would be lovely for a drawstring bag
Have used them for exactly that!
That looked like magic 😮
It kind of feels like it too!

I think I've seen a drill used to twist the yarns.

Good ideas!

There's something so satisfying about these, isn't there?
So easy and nice 👍🏿
Cut off the circulation in your finger lol 😆
:)
THANK YOU SO MUCH
Thanks!
Or use a a drill wrap the other around your door knob..
Great idea!
Or a hand mixer with a kneading beater on low speed.

I have not tried making baskets with it. That sounds interesting!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
power drill.
could you have placed a pencil where the finger is and twist.
Yes, you certainly could. And that's probably more sensible!
You can use a pen instead of finger
How can we make it very long for macramé or knitting so we have to attach them together?
That's a tough one. You have to start with yarn that's about 2-1/2 times longer than you want the finished rope to be.
Make a yarn rooe❤
It came un done
the first one should be rotated clockwise, and when ur put it all together, spin it anti-clockwise.
Love it!
These are really fun to make!
