I like to add wifi cameras and leave sump doors open so I can view everything while I'm gone.

I use those tiny zip lock bags from a craft store, I put food in there or a little note to check the freezer and find a specific number of frozen food portion, I write a date on a bag and tape it to the tank. I have 20g ato container, cameras and a controller is a must. I leave my tank for 5-6 weeks at a time, somebody is coming twice a week to water the garden, add ro water to ato if needed, and check the skimmer.

I always feel more confident leaving with a camera watching the aquarium. At least I can see what's going on ( and I dont have a GHL or any kind of controlling devices ) Enjoy your vacation

Great video buddy. The GHL P4 will definitely give you piece of mind whilst being away. The filter sock will definitely clog in the time you are away though. You probably would have been better off removing it and letting the skimmer pull out any excess food waste. As it stands it'll just be breaking down in the sock over the next 2 weeks and causing excess nutrients rather than being removed 🤷🏻‍♂️

Dang I need one of those GHL monitoring system. Looks like an extra step of security.
    Awesome points!
I would add an inexpensive WiFi camera.
Feed less on the auto feeder
Have less food in the auto feeder just in case it decides to dump everything in. Fish can live for days to weeks without food.
Clean the overflow weirs cause it might clog and cause a overflow of things goes out of wack.
Automatic battery backup air bubble straight in the tank to buy you some time if power goes out when you’re sleeping.
    Hope that helps.

Hi, hope you had a good vacation? Great video as laways and look forward to your uploads. Have a few questions, how do you keep your sand so clean and also what scraper do you use with the long handle? I have a100.3 Waterbox clown harem tank with multple nems running for around 7months now but struggling to keep the sand clean and also the bottom edge. Thanks in advance.

If you don't want foam to lift the lid on your skimmer cup so it fills more you could always place a little weight on top of it.

Do you have a link to that auto top off? Does it work by itself or you need the GHL system to make it work.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking too. Brs recommends changing them every 3 days or they’ll turn into nutrient traps
