"small amp, but it sounds big." You know, I think that is how Vox amps sound. I have an AD30VT amp that blows away any 30 watt amp I put it next to. Vox makes some HIGHLY underrated amps.
When the "British Invasion" came Vox is what they rode in on. I have ALWAYS wanted a Vox amp. I too have the AD30VT (picked one up used for $80.00) and the sounds are stunning. About a month ago I bought the AC4C1-BL and now my bucket list is shorter. Now if only I could find a 60's "teardrop" at a yard sale lol.
Thanks for the demo ! This could not be better, I ordered one today, and I have a Les Paul and the AC4C1-BL. Back-ordered from the people I buy from but I this gives me confidence I made the right choice.
Also, it sounds fantastic with headphones, regular audio speakers, and with the power-in input to a tube amp with that option. Also, no hum like other pedals. If I didn't have the L6 HD, this would be my pedal. I also have the new zoom ms-50g which is also a good buy at $99, but not as good as this one. That one has a LCD interface which is more intuitive, but only has a few amps. It's more of an effects pedal with no wah pedal so it is limited compared to the stomplab.
Aww sweet. I'm glad it works with head because I'm getting it to replace my Amplug that got lost. I just need something I can practice quietly with that is portable and is more versitile than the amplug. Thanks for the overview :)
You can turn of the amp and cab simulation by holding edit and then go to the amp and cab section and in each section hold both 'effect type' buttons down to turn it off. Enjoy
Big injustice to the guitar ,and the stomplab....I play it for about 2 years now, and sounds great ....it s made in japan , metal case ,I drop it several times, no problem , it has many tones you can t use , but the clean sound and the crunch are superb....I mainly play metalcore and does the job.....through a marshall cfx 30 watt ...I m about to buy an dsl 100h head and an 240watt marshall cabinet
Are you playing a Gibson Les Paul Classic Custom (Wine Red) ? looks like it . It has a Baked Maple Fretboard . - Jerry - aka - HUTCHfromBA . Blues On.....
yea. I wonder what people think about it compared to the tonelab st (over 2x $). I have the old blue original tonelab and this stomplab sounds better and has more options.
Anyone out there with a send return with volume adjustments on your Loopers man you take one of these bad boys send it just thru the return and this becomes your preamp and you use the power amp section. I do that with my Bugera 333XL and my Line6 HD man you get that Tube and Solid State power working in concert its just awesome!!!
I've had it about a week now, and as expected, some of the settings are totally useless...BUT! The ratio of good to useless is about ten good to one ridiculous. I do wish you could just run some of the effects without choosing amps and cabinets. Why do I need to simulate a Vox AC4 to play through a Vox AC4? Also, no battery door, you have to remove the entire back to change batteries, no big deal. Overall it's great, easy to program if you just calm down and read along. Money well spent.
This box is not as good as L6 HD500 in many ways, but it has many more modern amp sims and its so cheap any guitarist can afford it. I wish I had this back in the 80s,90s,or early 2000s, even when I was poor in the 80s. But obviously the technology wasn't available then.
Can you please describe the board you are running? Thank you ... I bought one and I want to place it in a pedal chain, so can you help me how to arrange it? I have a wah pedal, compression sustainer, super overdrive, super distortion, and combo drive ...
Use the stomplab last in your chain and set it to have a clean sound to act as amp sim to the pedals and send it directly to a P.A. Use the amp model c5 and use the cabinet b2.This set up works with other analogue drive pedals really nice and doesn't sound digital at all.Or you can use the stomplab as your effects like chorus, delay, reverb etc.But it doesn't have a tap tempo.
it is so sad that in these kind of tutorials and reviews and cant see a real guitar sound demonstration with a real guitar player, no offense but seriously...it is almost a joke.....its sad, everyone is in line to make tutorials ..probably they are music lovers and instrument curious but thats another thing, and the good reviews of Vox StompLab are lost in the middle of these
totaly true, so many with so much passion and sensibility, some with decades of guitar playing and these brands dont give them a buck, for a real sonic experience. and this guys presents a horrible sounding video full of hiss, drowned and muffled, and doesnt even produce a good sounding tone on the pedal, someone that sees this, will think its just a garbage fuzz box with reverb. Its one upside down world.
I dunno ! Was thinking of going direct into board (p a live) with something - saw this locally - small, sturdy, simple tasteful design - & cheap too! but ALL the demos I've heard are like - nice usable cleans/effects & downright nasty unusable fuzz.Who needs or even wants 1,000,000 shades of shite! LEVEL-TONE-SELECT(CLEAN,KOSSOFF,MAY,RHOADS and errr umm METALLICA!! Plenty(MEAT VEG SPUDS GRAVY=CLEAN PLATE!)

Vox is such a fantastic company!!! Stomp Lab sounds very nice so does the Kings shredding!!!
Years ago I missed my plane and I hitched a ride with this guy back when he was a shower curtain ring salesman - just dont start him on Polka music
Lmao

I'm going back in time!!! Good one, TK!
great job TTK must be great to travel around and play nice equipment.

Big time yes. mine with the wah cost $89. you can't go wrong no matter your budget. Save up the money if you don't have it yet.
You can turn of the amp and cab simulation by holding edit and then go to the amp and cab section and in each section hold both 'effect type' buttons down to turn it off. Enjoy
Not the AC4C1-BL, there is a hand wired version. This one was $255.00 on sale recently at Guitar Center, usually $299.00.
He's right and depending on the pickup she can also play 50s and early 60s rock music as well
Sounds really awesome!

Is there a nice clean delay on the Stomplab 1g?
yea. I wonder what people think about it compared to the tonelab st (over 2x $). I have the old blue original tonelab and this stomplab sounds better and has more options.
$65.00
So is the stomplab a good buy? Because I am thinking of getting one.

muddy sound like you put a blanket over the amp!
the strange thing is some presets have a much higher volume. this is really strange because when im changing the volume it is suddently normal.
You play trough a Vox ac4?

I love the tone king, but this review was just like totally useless.

can i connect it to a mixer and get same sound quality as the amp ?
No
I was just jerkn round with this thing, you can plug in headphones and no amp required. How stupid is that!

Vox didnt offer you any chair? Bad vox!
Built-in tuners annoy the crap out of me. I dunno why, maybe I'm just funny like that.

More Burger King than Tone King methinks
McDonalds son.
horrible review
God just horrible
