Really? You would think this would be would of ones he doesn't like as much. He's said a lot how it doesn't like songs with repeating choruses a lot nor pandering ones and this fits both. I think the passion you're seeing is just him being more amateur. A lot of people moving around a lot and force emotion to make it seem more natural on stage when they're just getting into it. Great song still, I just don't think this would be one he enjoys a shit ton.
I don't know of he realizes what he's created (he probably does). This song is beautiful. It's everyday stuff that happens what he sings/raps. Every time, I cry at the end with how deep it is. Like really. This is how you make music to relate and move people. He is my idol. I wish to do things he does because of how many people he's inspired. I want to do that and follow in his footsteps. Thank you for understanding Bo. You of all people have the audacity to go up and sing about your feelings while making people good while relating to them at the same time. Thank you.
well yeah. that's what he does. his songs are masked with comedy, but the majority of them have really deep meanings. that way, bot the people who pay attention to the message of the song and the people who just listen to the tune can be entertained.
I think what's really cool about him writing this song is that, even though he faced no bullying himself, he is able to recognize and relate to kids who have and or are going through it. he's mentioned several times that bullying was virtually nonexistent at his school because it was an all boys school, his explanation being that the "need to impress girls" was removed therefore removing the torment, so maybe he's acknowledging that he could have very likely been bullied if he'd attended somewhere else. he does emphasize the luck in his life and the need to do something for those who are less lucky, nerds I guess fills this need.
This is fucking insane. I went to school with this guy. I read through some of the comments and I can tell you that yes he came off as an asshole in highschool. He wasn't bullied or at least from what I saw. I didn't like him much when I knew him, but I can now see why he was so arrogant and mean. He acknowledged things that people his age at the time couldn't even fathom. I'm sure he doesn't remember me because we only talked a handful of times and I didn't remember him either until I stumbled across him on UA-cam and trust me, my first reaction was "get the fuck out of here???". I'm glad he's successful and can now voice his thoughts because now I understand a little bit more I think. I never thought too highly of him, but I see where's he's coming from now.
Rebecca98463 While I still doubt you went to school with him. Even if he wasn't bullied in highschool, is it so wrong to reach out and help others that are.
You do realize there are confirmations that he was bullied in High School which is when he started making UA-cam videos, right? I'm sorry sir, but you are most definitely lying.
I would just like to point out that unless you actually know someone you can very easily misinterpret how they act as them being stuck up or an asshole or something. It could have very well been true, but I myself am very quiet and shy, and usually wouldn't really talk to people unless they talked to me because I didn't want to bother/annoy people. My neighbors told me at one point that they thought I was stuck up or something since I would usually only say hi when they said it because I was afraid of talking to people. My point is you never know what is going on inside someones's head to make them act like that, it could be a self-defense mechanism. I don't know about highschool, but I did hear him in an interview talking about middleschool and how people thought he was gay, and even asked him about it while they were working on a play or something, I think he was much more upset about it at the time, being a child and all. So these things had probably been subtly happening for a while since he was still doing theatre throughout school. Either way it's a good song for others in that situation to hold on to.
You can tell the passion that he has for this song is strong when he did it live, but the line that stood out to me the most was “you can judge by the cover cause it’s shitty on the inside”
This is one of my favourite songs from him. Great song, and much needed. I used to get into a lot of confrontations back in High School standing up for kids who got bullied. Love this fucking song.
ive been a bo fan foreeeeeeever and i just wanna comment that for anyone who is all 'oh bo is problematic' - they clearly arent paying attention and i just wish they would just read the lyrics of this song or something, you know? he wrote an ANTHEM supporting outcasts. and you can feel the anger/passion he has about this issue in the way he performs it. he's incredible. anyway. as you were.

I love this guy. When he said "I got your back, kid" at the end... Chills.

I couldn't believe it
It’s a serious song though. It would be kinda disrespectful to laugh at a serious song. Just my opinion
Bob Joeman a
he hated when people were loud during his songs
“She stood in line got cut, tried out got cut, loved art but the budget got cut, and and she got numb but she only felt when she knelt and cut”
He loves to end with songs that fuck you up. The Kayne rant and are you happy being the latest versions.
Also "We Think We Know You" for what.
