Interesting you think that the Chris Heins library is more cinematic because Session Horns Pro was used in the production of Adele's Skyfall single which was the theme tune to the James Bond film.
I'm the horn section in our R&B band, and I am in search of the perfect sound for getting this down. I have Native Instruments and thinking of upgrading the Session Horns to the Pro version. I saw some videos that you did about the KeyLab Essential 88 and was wondering if I could use that along with my Nord Stage 3 and somehow control my Nord Compact (73 keys) with the Essential 88 (extra 15 keys) and still be able to control NI Session Horns at the same time using the USB connection? Your help on this would be greatly appreciated. I am receiving the KayLab tomorrow and will be able to experiment then, but your vast knowledge would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.
Good comparison. From what I hear on your video here and from what I heard myself from demo videos on both software programs, my choice was Session Horns. The Chris Hein Horns to me sound like they need a lot of tweaking before real usability. sounding very, very "thin". As you say though, it's all in your preferences as to what you like! Good job!
Is there a brass option that you can suggest for live performance? I have a newer ipad. Any options? Play mostly pop, rock, funk, soul, & blues. Many thanks!
Very difficult to compare and contrast how they sound when you have two very different sections on demo. How do you compare one section with a baritone sax to another with a flute? It's not a very reasonable demo. Next time, set the sections up with the same number of horns and same instruments... and then we can properly a/b listen.

Hi, can you make a tutorial about how to make the glissando/falls with the session horns pro trumpet rip. Thanks

nice review mate .. i'm just getting into session horns pro.
Chris Heins Horns sounds more lively than Session Horns'
How do you compare Session Horns Pro with 8Dio Intimate Studio Brass and Studio Saxophones?

Could you do a comparison between session horns pro and the new update from logic pro x studio horns? Thanks!
Yup I will be doing that really soon!
got a little bit the feeling of being in a roman theatre or arena, waiting for a fight to begin with the chris heins horns
The effects in Session horns pro are a lot better I think. Nice comparison though!
Chris Heins Horns be the one I'm using on some EW and F music.
They are too different but I like Session Horns Pro more, bc I love jazz and pop so much. For some cinematic music I prefer Berlin Brass.
Thanks
Thanks for the video, man :)
Nice comparison again!
Thanks!!
good stuff
But Chris Hein is Compact (and they are really worse than regular; but cheap too).
Chris Heins!
On their own, Session Horns Pro, again, sound more realistic to me than the Chris Heins.
Gain match it.
"Aaaaaaaahhh"
Aaaggrmm
stop talking, just play
Dude, talk less play more!
Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah!!
And
Blah!
