In the middle of that travel mess, I would add an airtag to the milk bag for sure!! (One to every item/person to be grabbed…)

"Crying over spilled milk" is a real concern when it's pumped!

Glad you think so! Some are so nervous about going through airport security with breast milk. No one wants it trashed!

The square snack size bags fits 20 wipes folded up. I keep one in my purse and put a few in my suitcase.

Thank you for this! 20 is a great amount for flying with an infant or with kids.

Laurie, love your channel. No complaints about this focused topic, I once needed to know this. But now I am retiring this year and planning to use air travel both domestically often and internationally annually. Could you please do videos on TSA precheck in 2024, and boarding tips. Specifically, how do we as retirees qualify for early boarding? We will need to fly with a carry on for my husband's diabetes needs on our 10 trip to Europe, how do we pack for that?

If you have a disability of any kind, I think you can board early when they say, "Early boarding..." but there are so many boarding groups these days - up to 6 groups - before regular boarding begins. Packing with diabetic needs just means the TSA may want the equipment in the bins during screening. If going to Europe, any prescription on liquid medications has to be with the item. If insulin is supposed to be cold, you can pack ice packs. Just tell the officers you have diabetic items and see how they need it. They are so much more understanding these days. You can use the drop down to search more: www.tsa.gov/travel/special-procedures

Hi. Will you please talk about flying with an embroidery project? Tsa website says you can take needle. Does it need to go in the grey bin? I have not flown in years. Thank you for your channel. I love it!

Hi, needles are allowed. They do not need to be put in the bins. You may want to tell the officers you have knitting needles. You can also type in your persnickety item and it will tell you which bag it is allowed in: www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/all

I need to travel with liquid Ningxia Red liquid supplement. It’s in a juice form in individual 2 oz packets. Sealed up. Will this be allowed inside the plane? I really don’t want to put too much of it in my suitcase. I take it everyday but it’s not medicine or breast milk. Someone told me frozen items don’t count as liquid. What are your thoughts or suggestions? It’s pretty expensive so I’d hate to see it thrown away. Thanks!

Hi Laurie, any suggestions on what to do or get to help or prevent having a sore butt from long international flights? 😂 Thank you!

Hi, some travel with a doughnut ring. But I would walk to the lavatory as much as possible.

So I have a question that might have already been covered before. I haven’t flown in 16 years, due to a fear / no need.
So my family will be getting on a short flight soon just to get over that “fear of flying”
Question: my luggage has built in locks, that I’m pretty sure aren’t tsa friendly, because it’s just a combination lock. There is no key option.
What should I do when checking my luggage? Do I tell them my combination? Buy a new suitcase?

    • @TravelTipsbyLaurie
      @TravelTipsbyLaurie  7 місяців тому

Hi, we do not use the locks that our suitcases come with. If you are flying carry-on, they will not open it. If it gives you peace of mind, call them on tsa.gov.

I've flown with my toddler 3 times and they tested her milk (both in bottles and sealed individual cartons) on all occassions. They let it through, but I threw away the milk they opened and tested. Also kept it in its own cooler bag with the ice pack. All were OK.

My sister has to bring two syringes with her medication for diabetes and rheumatoid that have to be refrigerated. How will she keep it cold on a 10 hour flight? She could have a ice pack in a small bag but it won’t stay cold that long. What do people do have the same issue?

A flight attendant friend suggested bringing one of those heating pads you fill with water. They can put ice in it. There is also this that I think would work wonderfully-or a Yeti mug: bit.ly/3lQaE00
