I feel like it's perfect for the pilot episode, the voice is calm, in control and collected. Giving us an illusion about Stolas being a scary/suave Demon prince when in reality sure, he's a scary demon prince but he's actually just a ball of fluff who wants to be loved and give love. 🥰🤍, I'm so in love with this series
I prefer his new voice myself. His old voice sounded more malevolent and serious, which comes across as too threatening. Stolas as a character is more of a sad, lonely guy who just wants to be loved and his new voice fits his personality so much better.

Stolas isn't really a side character. Even if he's not in every episode the main overaching plot of Season (and maybe the show) is basically his and Blitz's relationship. He's honestly probably gotten more central focus than Mille or Loona.
Watching the interaction between Stolas and Octavia cut deep. As weird as the guy he is, he's a dad first and foremost. He loves his little girl with all his demonic heart.

his current voice actor does fit stolas a lot better, bryce pinkham brings out his playful and surprisingly sweet side more whereas brock baker really sells his "im dangerous and better than you and a lustful pervert" side but doesnt exactly show much more than that.

In the circus episode it seems pretty obvious Stolas was really happy to have a friend. Problem is Blitzo keeps pushing people away because he's afraid of suffering the pain of loosing someone. And I also feel bad for Stolas since Blitzo has used him such as for the book and stealing stuff from his palace
Stolas is a amazing father, its that Octavia its she just knows her parents just aren't getting along and she hates Blitzo because he is taking away her father, a person who actually talks and pays attention to her, as well Stella tells Stolas to put Octavia back to sleep in that flash back and comforts her with the song, since we know we are going to see Striker again in season 2 I hope Octavia is there to witness Stella's behaviour towards Stolas, do you think this is valid? I want Octavia to see the abuse too. I think Stolas has been protecting her this whole time from seeing the cracks in the relationship so now that they’re divorcing, it’s hard for him to put into words that her parents were never in love and it was all a Goetia family arrangement to create her, a precautionary Goetia heir. She needs the truth. I don’t want Stella to die…I want her to get her comeuppance. And then die. I could never stomach an abuser, especially one who’s so good at it.

Im honestly so glad stolas went through changes after the pilot, he's just such a better character how. Not just with the cute voice acting, but the music/his theme is so much better. In the pilot you hear that typical, fancy/posh sounding music you typically hear around royal figures in media. But for everything after the pilot they gave him own memorable theme that just feels so magical and mystical, yet comforting. (Referring to the song "stolas speaks" by Jefferson Friedman)
his voice in the pilot sounds really nice and very royal but in the context of Stolas' character as a teasing, loveable dorky dad the pilot voice wouldn't have worked.

Never seen this show before. After the cute song for the kid, I was baffled how she turned emo with a dad like that. Then it hit me like a truck, and now i wonder how she's still sane with a dad like that.

Okay but the "you will be okay" song gives me chills the whole way to my thighs everytime it has the explosion point cause his voice is just phenomenal
What I love about Stolas and how he's portrayed is that he's a real person, in that he's so involved in his daughter's life (look at the pictures in her bedroom at the start of that episode - an actual "photo" of them together laughing, and a drawing she did of them together), yet he has a personal life that's a little "deviant" sexually (he's mostly a bottom and has a weakness/loves an imp in a very rigid social class system). Characters are usually displayed as either all of one or all of another, but Stolas feels "real" because there are many sides to him.
I have a feeling that Octavia will be much better at working the system than Stolas ever was. I could see her successfully slipping into his role out of loyalty to her father and making an arranged marriage work. There's also the fact that she is almost an adult that is saving her here. She may be able to push back against some of the rules and regulations if she makes the right connections. Not to mention, she is genuinely attracted to the stars and the grimoire and will likely slide into her father's role quite well. I enjoy the irony of the idea of her finding purpose in all of the things that her father hated.
But her father didn't ever hated his role, stars and grimoire... He just had fucking depression mostly based on fucked up marriage. He doesn't care about stars etc. now cause in this mental state its hard to care even about things that you like. He was attracted to his role (except the had-to-marry-crazy-bitch part) before marrige and troubles of adulthood. Octavia may do better simply cause she doesn't marry her mother (or someone as terrible as her). To be fair, If I'd be Stolas, I'd be widower in just few months after Via's birth. He is very patient. Much more patient than most of demons (his daughter included).

And for a long time, his sleeping with blitz∅ has served that purpose...but after the backstory...ugh it's so clear that he has genuine feelings for the imp...and has harbored those feelings since childhood...and then with blitz∅ feeling used...like all he's good for is sex...it seems like he's upset by it too. And when he called stolas out on that and drove off...oh my gods the pain in stolas eyes...poor owl boy needs such a hug...both of them...
Having watched the newest episode and learning how Blitz and Stolas had a childhood “friendship” and know about Stolas’ love for Imps makes Stolas’ dirty talk towards Blitz all the more hilarious. You can tell Stolas actually does like Blitz.
I like Stolas the same way that I like Damien Lord in Sin City (the comic, not the movie). Both seem like a polished, sane, well-educated and good-natured being trying to act normal in what looks like a world full of brutal lunatics.

Never seen this show before. After the cute song for the kid, I was baffled how she turned emo with a dad like that. Then it hit me like a truck, and now i wonder how she's still sane with a dad like that.

What I love about Stolas and how he's portrayed is that he's a real person, in that he's so involved in his daughter's life (look at the pictures in her bedroom at the start of that episode - an actual "photo" of them together laughing, and a drawing she did of them together), yet he has a personal life that's a little "deviant" sexually (he's mostly a bottom and has a weakness/loves an imp in a very rigid social class system). Characters are usually displayed as either all of one or all of another, but Stolas feels "real" because there are many sides to him.
I have a feeling that Octavia will be much better at working the system than Stolas ever was. I could see her successfully slipping into his role out of loyalty to her father and making an arranged marriage work. There's also the fact that she is almost an adult that is saving her here. She may be able to push back against some of the rules and regulations if she makes the right connections. Not to mention, she is genuinely attracted to the stars and the grimoire and will likely slide into her father's role quite well. I enjoy the irony of the idea of her finding purpose in all of the things that her father hated.
But her father didn't ever hated his role, stars and grimoire...
He just had fucking depression mostly based on fucked up marriage. He doesn't care about stars etc. now cause in this mental state its hard to care even about things that you like. He was attracted to his role (except the had-to-marry-crazy-bitch part) before marrige and troubles of adulthood.
Octavia may do better simply cause she doesn't marry her mother (or someone as terrible as her).
To be fair, If I'd be Stolas, I'd be widower in just few months after Via's birth. He is very patient. Much more patient than most of demons (his daughter included).

He tries so hard for his daughter...put up with 17 years of abuse to try to give her a happy normal life.when he sang you will be ok..I got shivers..he stops at nothing to make his baby girl happy. At least...he tries...but he has his own problems...trauma...pain..he needs an outlet for it... And for a long time, his sleeping with blitz∅ has served that purpose...but after the backstory...ugh it's so clear that he has genuine feelings for the imp...and has harbored those feelings since childhood...and then with blitz∅ feeling used...like all he's good for is sex...it seems like he's upset by it too. And when he called stolas out on that and drove off...oh my gods the pain in stolas eyes...poor owl boy needs such a hug...both of them...
Having watched the newest episode and learning how Blitz and Stolas had a childhood “friendship” and know about Stolas’ love for Imps makes Stolas’ dirty talk towards Blitz all the more hilarious. You can tell Stolas actually does like Blitz.
I like Stolas the same way that I like Damien Lord in Sin City (the comic, not the movie). Both seem like a polished, sane, well-educated and good-natured being trying to act normal in what looks like a world full of brutal lunatics.
