Nobody dares to speak against your word So they just sit quiet Do what you want, who cares if you get hurt? No, I don't know why you wonder why Wonder why, wonder why You're surrounded by the type of people That never say what you don't wanna hear So they just stay quiet Oh, everybody loves a show Lights on, they all go home You won't let anybody close That high five is all you got Ooh, they keep saying you're the best You ask and they say, "Yeah" Ooh, when you add up all that's left That high five is all you got You say it's hard, feel sorry for yourself And I don't know why you You take it out on everybody else No, I don't know why you wonder why Wonder why, wonder why You're alone at night, when they're all up on ya You know I tried, but you won't call me back So I just stay quiet Ooh, everybody loves a show Lights on, they all go home You won't let anybody close That high five is all you got Ooh, they keep saying you're the best You ask and they say, "Yeah" Ooh, when you add up all that's left That high five is all you got Oh, oh, oh, right Don't you get tired of looking for high fives? Oh, oh, oh, right Don't you get tired of looking for high fives? Oh, oh, oh, right Don't you get tired of, don't you get tired of And you wonder why, wonder why No one's by your side, by your side When the room goes quiet Ooh, everybody loves a show Lights on, they all go home You won't let anybody close That high five is all you got Ooh, they keep saying you're the best You ask and they say, "Yeah" Ooh, when you add up all that's left That high five is all you got
Not denying she is talented, just don't be fooled about the use of tracks to augment live performance. There's definitely playback in use here. A couple of 'sore thumb' obvious examples that stick out: 1 - Listen to the electronic high-hats... especially during the second verse starting at 1:16, you get a clear view of drummers sticks/hands at 1:20. He's clearly not putting down those triplets at the end of the bar (totally different tonality/attack from his live hats and he's clearly not putting them down on pads). 2 - Listen to the 'backing' vocals 3:08 - 3:30 when she rips those long notes and then riffs for a bit. She's not singing the chorus there and you can here the backing track super clearly. You can tell it's Sigrid's voice on the track... not coming from that single background singer. After giving that ending chorus section a close listen, go back and listen to the other choruses where she's singing along. You can tell her live mic is mixed with her backing track.
she's so cute 😍🤩
Thank you for this! Missing concerts... :(
A great night in Manchester
Great video!
Nobody dares to speak against your word
So they just sit quiet
Do what you want, who cares if you get hurt?
No, I don't know why you wonder why
Wonder why, wonder why
You're surrounded by the type of people
That never say what you don't wanna hear
So they just stay quiet
Oh, everybody loves a show
Lights on, they all go home
You won't let anybody close
That high five is all you got
Ooh, they keep saying you're the best
You ask and they say, "Yeah"
Ooh, when you add up all that's left
That high five is all you got
You say it's hard, feel sorry for yourself
And I don't know why you
You take it out on everybody else
No, I don't know why you wonder why
Wonder why, wonder why
You're alone at night, when they're all up on ya
You know I tried, but you won't call me back
So I just stay quiet
Ooh, everybody loves a show
Lights on, they all go home
You won't let anybody close
That high five is all you got
Ooh, they keep saying you're the best
You ask and they say, "Yeah"
Ooh, when you add up all that's left
That high five is all you got
Oh, oh, oh, right
Don't you get tired of looking for high fives?
Oh, oh, oh, right
Don't you get tired of looking for high fives?
Oh, oh, oh, right
Don't you get tired of, don't you get tired of
And you wonder why, wonder why
No one's by your side, by your side
When the room goes quiet
Ooh, everybody loves a show
Lights on, they all go home
You won't let anybody close
That high five is all you got
Ooh, they keep saying you're the best
You ask and they say, "Yeah"
Ooh, when you add up all that's left
That high five is all you got
💜
Makes me happy to see that she doesn't use playback
