Peter Snell 50 years since Tokyo 1964

50 years ago today, Sir Peter Snell won the first of his two gold medals in Tokyo, the 800m. Five days later he won the 1500m, inspiring pride and excellence in New Zealanders to this very day.
Tokyo will once again hold the Olympic Games in 2020.

I guess his 1:44.3 WR at 800m will be still the best ever time over grass in another 50 years.
I think on a rubber track he could of run 1:42 flat at least or sub 1:42. I think he’d give ALL modern 800m runners a run for their money., RIP maestro

I Love, Sir Peter Snell, but this lame cover, of a lame Kiwi song sucks. He deserves better than this. So do all Kiwi's so I will be avoiding this tribute from here on in.
