Just for another data point, I've brought knitting to disneyland and it was totally fine (socks on DPNs). Also i just got that racoon eating junk food fabric from joann to make project bags for my sit & stitch group! 😊

I would recommend the stitch stoppers. I have taken knitting to both Disneyland and WDW. 1 security person did give me a little grief at WDW, but it was a special event and we were more thoroughly searched.
