  • 🦊 In this GCSE Biology video, we introduce tissue culture as a method to propagate identical new plants from small groups of cells taken from a parent plant. After placing the tissue sample in a Petri dish with agar jelly and nutrients, tiny plantlets develop, which are then transferred to compost to grow into mature plants. Tissue culture is particularly valuable for preserving rare plant species and is also used commercially in plant nurseries for efficient mass production of plants.
