As a genuinely Catholic couple, you are a great example to many Catholics, both married and those aspiring to be . Your children are truly blessed to have you as parents.

Ken and Janelle, you had me laughing. Early in our marriage I would pull out the hot sauce when Emily made something I didn't like. To this day, if I use it Emily thinks she has made something I don't like (Ken, I must admit that the hot sauce did not work recently on cauliflower rice). Seriously, though, what stood out to me is dying to self. That is marriage on a daily basis. We are a sacrament and our goal is to get each other to Heaven and in order to do that, we have to give of ourselves to each other.

I love the Catholic perspective because it exposes a purpose for the suffering, hope of becoming sanctified, the possibility of suffering a little less as time goes on, and also growing closer to Jesus in the process. An example I can give, is that I used to buy for the sake of experiencing the satisfaction of ownership (pride), now I find myself going through a litany of thanksgiving when I walk through a store: thank you Lord, I don't need this, and that, and that... Being poor also helps with that, but I don't feel like I'm suffering through it. All my needs are provided for, especially the need for peace and contentment, in ways I couldn't have imagined.

This is so true and so important. I just recently confessed jealousy because I find myself as a stay at home mom, wishing I could serve God more - but the thing is, that isn't what He has called ME to do. He has called me to be a mother and wife, and live a life of hidden adoration. It is MY will to serve others in a way that is not compatible with the vocation God has given me. Most days I understand this and offer up my daily tasks and duties etc with joy, but there are times I feel as if it's not enough and the devil tempts when he sees a crack! And then how special to have The Holy Family as our model ... What did our Blessed Mother do? (That was/is enough!) What better way to die to ourselves than to raise littles?!!! We have the opportunity to not only obtain sanctity ourselves, but raise up little Saints. God is so good! 🙏
Thank you for these joyful and inspiring, thought-provoking videos!

This is another good Catholic video from you, Ken and Janelle Yasinski! Thank you, and may GOD richly bless you and your family! My fiancee is out of the hospital in her home country with her mother taking care of her at my Love's home apartment - she is getting better! Thank you for your powerful good prayers, and please pray for me that I have consistent real true good physical and physiological health so that I can pray my prayers - including my neo - non-negotiable prayers which includes the five decade Holy Rosary of the most Blessed Virgin Mother Mary, conceived without sin, daily!

Ken and Janelle THANK YOU VERY MUCH once again for an excellent video recording on CATHOLIC MARRIAGE. Self Denial this is a difficult one. To meet our needs and others needs as well. Sacrifices are what GOD and JESUS made for us. It is kind of us to try to return some things back to the Father also. Without denying our own selves either. I believe that compromise is important IN ALL OF OUR RELATIONSHIPS, for marriage, our families and friends. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH AND YOUR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS. HAPPY ADVENT AND BLESS THE HOLY TRINITY!

Thank You Ken and Jenelle. Yes there are many sacrifices made within Marriage. When we do this for each other, that is what REAL LOVE is made of.
Unfortunately for me, my marriage did not last. There was too much unfaithfulness over the years on my then husbands part, and Trust, eventually after 20 years, could not be retrieved.
I always wanted a marriage that lasted, and was fruitful, where we all blossomed. As much as I didn't like divorce, I had to accept that we were not a good long term match. And that is that. I told myself the opposite for years, and put up with too much. This was not a good example for our girls either.
I am so much happier now, and a big weight has been lifted of my shoulders. I Pray for my Daughters Dad, and they have a good relationship with him too. And they know what is acceptable and what isn't, I have taught them this, especially when they needed to hear it. My relationship with my daughters is alot healthier too. Thank GOD.
Yes I know what You mean Jenelle, mortifying the senses can definitely be a challenge!
For me Charity Shops are the best, they are like a Treasure Troves....
So many great bargains at a fraction of the price. I have always got things for myself and my 4 Girls, from being Young, in different Charity shops. Not sure how good they are in Canada. I can pick up clothes & toys for £1 and £2....and they are in pretty good condition. Thank GOD. It has been a life saver, when money has been scarce.
Anyway, I've written my mini block buster. GOD Bless You Both and Your Precious Family. And Everyone. 🙏❤️🙏💕💕💕🌟✨✨✨

Janelle, i am happy my husband cooks too! I am no cook, although i try.
Ken, i love my silence too! As parents we don't always get that, but it is so nice when we do!

You are a remarkable couple! You remind me what a joy it is to be from a big family, and I agree with you about noise. It is important to learn how to tune into our soul silence. This happens for me when I’m doing watercolor, or anything creative. Jesus is our source. I had an opportunity to relearn this yesterday while searching through a big store. I had a gift card and I could find nothing I wanted. I thanked God for that experience, and thank Him every day for wanting and needing less in my old age. Good bless you both and your beautiful family. Merry Christmas.

Today is my 19th wedding anniversary and we are staying in a bed and breakfast in Michigan right off the lake. We have 7 kids too. This is our very first time ever going on a vacation without our kids! And guess what!! We have the whole entire bed and breakfast house to ourselves. It’s so quiet. I told my husband I miss my kids. I’m so used to all the chaos that this seems weird. I keep telling myself to enjoy it bc it will be a long time before this happens again. I always feel like I need to be doing more and I’m realizing that I’m trying really hard and God does see my sacrifice. I am very guilty of eating too much. That is something I really want to work on is fasting for self obedience. Thank you 🙏

Basically it is hallowed out zucchini; on the inside it has cooked ground turkey with blended tomatoes + blended zucchini that I carved out for the boats, this makes the sauce, toss in some added seasoning.. baked with a bit of shredded mozzarella. Just heard the poco a poco podcast and the bros said sometimes we don't understand the mystery in front of us, just as the blessed Mother must have, and ultimately we just have to say yes, over and over again just as she did. Just as long as we are with Jesus, and say yes to the Father we will be okay.

I think it's ok that your husband doesn't always love the food you cook. There is no such thing as perfection when it comes to human action/behavior, only God does things to perfection. Plus u really should not resent your husband if at times the food you cooked was not his liking. As long as he does not critize you for it & can just appreciate that you cooked for the family. God Bless :) God also doesn't expect every child of his to be poor or to live in poverty. God always provides for all things we need & at times he provides above & beyond our expectations. GOD IS A GENEROUS & LOVING FATHER. HE KNOWS WHAT WE NEED & WE NEED TO TRUST IN THAT. :)
